I sure hope everything works out for you. Keep us posted.

Thanks!!

Well that just stinks, doesn't it? :headache: So was today a waste, or did she get some benefit out of your misery?

I think she probably got something out of it, to be honest. The initial tests weren't done by her or people she knew but elsewhere. This time, she got to see for herself exactly what's going on (yeah, I'm kinda vague - not out of wanting privacy, but out of TMI'ing everyone here!!!). When I'd seen her before, she looked at me and said "Well, I can go in and do X Procedure, but if we don't do Y tests, we won't know until I'm doing X if it's going to take care of the whole problem." So today was Y testing and, well, she's still not confident as to what the best fix is.

On the plus side, she's one of the surgeons in a minimally invasive clinic so her ultimate goal is to do as little as possible for the absolute greatest effect. Right now, the MRI will allow her to do that. Apparently it's an excellent way (thank you, Dr. Google!) to get the answers she needs (but it's thousands of dollars more expensive and thus, last resort) to do the most minimally invasive surgery possible. Especially since X procedure is a 24 hour recovery time and anything else starts at about a week!!

It's KIND of frustrating, but at the same time... it could be worse. I have a surgical date. That's the important to me bit - there's a definite end in sight. We just don't know how we're getting there, yet!

I was thinking about posting a WDW restaurant menu everyday just for fun! What do you think?

Sarbah--keep us posted---hopefully you'll get an answer quick--waiting I think is ALWAYS the worst part !!!

Just changed our trip from December to January so I could join this thread!!
Ok, well honestly, that was not the reason! But I am glad to see so many excited families ready to go like we are. We changed our plans because Dec 7-11th seems to be super crowded. So I am hoping the weather will be good for us in January and I am sure the crowds will be fairly low compared to December!

We know you why you really switched. :rolleyes1 Welcome!

I was thinking about posting a WDW restaurant menu everyday just for fun! What do you think?

There go the diets! I'm hungry already after just one menu being posted!

Does anyone know if Tutto Italia is still going to be open in January?
Is Tutto the one that took over Alfredo's? Alfredo's was our favorite. We had a romantic dinner there on our honeymoon in 2001 and I was going to surprise my hubby with a dinner there this time but it's gone!
Anyone been to Tutto's? How is it?

Hey everyone!

Well, I had more testing at the doctor's office today, regarding my upcoming surgery and the verdict is....

.....

.....

I need an MRI!

Sorry to hear more tests are needed. :scared: But at least you'll be well enough by January for Disney! :flower3:

We ate here our last trip and are planning on going again. DH liked it more than I did, but I'm not bummed to return.
For the record - we had the artisan breads and spreads (okay, LOVED the roasted garlic spread) and the bread salad (panzanella) for appetizers. The salad was pretty good, DH makes an awesome one, though.
For entrees, I had their tuna, which I don't see anymore. I may have to try their steak this time!
The kids had pizza and fruit salad and enjoyed it.
The adults skipped dessert... :sad2:

That means I am spending too much time on the computer and not enough working.... yikes....;)

I'm really questioning Le Chefs de France. Everything looks really wet! As in, too much sauce. I'm thinking about changing it for Raglan Road if it can work in the schedule, which of course I need to revisit again, too.

The other one I'm not sure about is Chef Mickey's. We're doing a few other character meals and I don't know if we need another one. :confused3

Does anyone know if Tutto Italia is still going to be open in January?

Trixie.... we really like Chefs de France... I think the duck is yummy... and the desserts also... it is my DD fav place to eat in WDW... as far as Chef Mickeys we really enjoy this place for the character interaction but not the food... you can get way better food other places.... have you tried 1900 Park Fare for a buffet.... it is better food wise not necessarily characters...

haven't tried Tutto Italia yet... not scheduled this trip either... maybe next time...

Hey everyone!

Well, I had more testing at the doctor's office today, regarding my upcoming surgery and the verdict is....

.....

.....

I need an MRI!

Then, the MRI will hopefully tell the doctor what kind of surgery I need. :confused3 Don't get me wrong, I don't mind my doctor being thorough but it wasn't a fun test today! The MRI (even being in a loud clausterphobic tube for nearly half an hour) will be a piece of cake by comparison. So, in another two weeks, I'll know what kind of surgery I'll be having, but the doctor's thinking it'll be the more invasive of the options. Guess we'll see - and hope she'e wrong! Either way, I'll be all healthy for Disney, so that's cool. ;)

Long day, though!

 :flower3: Hope that things work out okay for you!!!

Shelly..... I make Penne a la vodka all the time for dinner.... my kids love it.... Mama Melrose is one of our fav places to eat... I love their steak... over the red roasted pepper polenta... and I don't even like polenta.... theirs is yummy..... ohhhhhhhh I wish we were going there this time.... I let the boys pick all the dining this time.....

Good night snowbirds..... this bird is ready to rest in the nest....I am beat....

OK I AM GETTING MAD :furious: I still can't get a reservation for dinner at LeCellier for the week I am there.... I mean really don't they know I am going to be 40????????? They should not mess with an "old lady" and her dinner plans!!!!!!!!

WOW is right!! This is a sign that I talk way too much!! HOLY COW!!!

I agree RNRC and EE are the best!! :cool1:  Meghan - your DD is probably big enough for EE isn't she? I think it's only 44"! RNRC is 48", my DS7 isn't even close to being tall enough for that yet.

My DD has her yearly check up next Thursday, so I'm not sure how tall she is right now. At her last check up, she was 40 inches tall. She's in about the 20th percentile for weight (she's not even 40lbs) and the 25th for height. She's very petite. I don't know if she would like EE. She's never been on a roller coaster before!

Hi everyone! Okay, I'll admit, I've been a lurker for far too long! :guilty: I have finally succumbed to my obsession and joined in. I have read your entire thread and you all seem so fun! I feel like I know you all already. I warned my family that I will be on the laptop more than ever now!:surfweb: I love those smilies! I'm usually not very technologically skilled, so that's something I have figured out! There's so much to learn...

About us:
Me - Mom - Sheree -40 (gulp!)
DH - Dave -45
DD7 -Sarah
DD5 - Paige

We live in Minnesota so going to WDW in the middle of winter is the best! Have to escape the below 0 temps! We really are snowbirds! Although around here, we call people snowbirds when they go south for the WHOLE winter!
The whole family has been to WDW 3 times, DH many times and me, 5 times. Never got to go until I was 29! So deprived as a child. I guess I'm making up for it with my kids! We'll be at SOG from 1/28- 2/1 and then a 4 day cruise on the Wonder. My MIL and SIL will be joining us. MIL has the military benefits so it's great when she comes and we can stay at SOG.
We have ADRs at LeCellier on 1/31 and Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic package) on 1/29.
Good to meet you all!

Sheree

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I so remember doing that to my parents! In HS I hated doing any typing - so I always sweet talked my Dad in to typing my reports and essays for me! ;) When I was in my last year, he said he was gonna start charging me a dollar a word so I had to do it myself - or go broke! :upsidedow

Well, this snowbird is going to bed! :cloud9: Goodnight LAdies! Catch ya in the morning! :goodvibes

:welcome: Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! Feel free to jump right in. :thumbsup2

Ooh, a cruise...I'm terrified of going on a cruise. :scared: I seriously don't think I could do it!

Trixiequilts - cruising can be great! We went on a Carnival cruise last winter and had rough seas the first day, and I walked into a light fixture sticking out of the wall (near the floor) and gashed my leg the first night but overall it was so fun! Of course, I had to switch over to Disney this time. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes! My DH is already telling me to say goodnight, but I tell him, I'm just getting started! It's really his fault, he encouraged me to join on the cruise meet thread and I said I hadto join the snowbirds too since I've been reading so much of it everyday! Well, he asked for it!

Well, it is time to get going off to bed. I won't be able to jump in on all the fun until after 3pm tomorrow!!! Ah! Catch you all tomorrow!

We love the cruise...I really had to convince Mom to give up the cruise to spend 10 days WDW.

We love Chef Mickey's...that was my little sister's one dinner request this trip...we missed it the last 2 trips.

What night is MK open till 2 am...it would be really great to ride things in the dark that late.

I know it's early but I have a QOTD:
What restaurant are looking forward to eating at the most? What will you order?
