I sure hope everything works out for you. Keep us posted.![]()
Thanks!!
Well that just stinks, doesn't it?So was today a waste, or did she get some benefit out of your misery?
I think she probably got something out of it, to be honest. The initial tests weren't done by her or people she knew but elsewhere. This time, she got to see for herself exactly what's going on (yeah, I'm kinda vague - not out of wanting privacy, but out of TMI'ing everyone here!!!). When I'd seen her before, she looked at me and said "Well, I can go in and do X Procedure, but if we don't do Y tests, we won't know until I'm doing X if it's going to take care of the whole problem." So today was Y testing and, well, she's still not confident as to what the best fix is.
On the plus side, she's one of the surgeons in a minimally invasive clinic so her ultimate goal is to do as little as possible for the absolute greatest effect. Right now, the MRI will allow her to do that. Apparently it's an excellent way (thank you, Dr. Google!) to get the answers she needs (but it's thousands of dollars more expensive and thus, last resort) to do the most minimally invasive surgery possible. Especially since X procedure is a 24 hour recovery time and anything else starts at about a week!!
It's KIND of frustrating, but at the same time... it could be worse. I have a surgical date. That's the important to me bit - there's a definite end in sight. We just don't know how we're getting there, yet!
