Alright everyone, I'm off to bed.

I've been feeling under the weather all day, but the past few hours it has really kicked in. Sore throat, cough, body aches/chills. I also think I'm running a fever at the moment. Great...:sad2: I had off Monday-Wednesday and tomorrow I have to work 11-7. I hate working when I feel like crap.

So have a good night everyone.

I've been lurking a couple of days here myself and only posting every now and then. I love reading what everyone is doing. My life is so boring compared to everyone here. I sat all night folding clothes..:laundy: Now that my hubby is sleeping next to me, now I have the energy to sit and chat.:surfweb:
Do you think that the lines for Fantasmic will be long in January? Do I need to book a package deal to get a "fast pass"? My family is doing the new counter service plan, so I don't feel like paying out of pocket for something we won't need....
Okay, I'm going to go read some more reports. I have a co-worker on the Dining reports that is making me laugh until I cry..
More tomorrow!:)

I was thinking about posting a WDW restaurant menu everyday just for fun! What do you think?

I think it's a great idea, Shelly! :thumbsup2 And I see I'm falling...nearly out of the top 10 posters. Well, I have to remedy that! Watch out, BellaSoliel...I'm on your tail!:lmao:

I would like to mention something. I hope it's okay. I'm part of a scrapbooking board, and yesterday there was a message to pray for one of our regular members whose son woke up with a headache and was crying in pain. He was unable to walk or see well. Danny was 5. They rushed him to the hospital and they found a 4cm tumor on his brain stem. They operated immediately, but Danny slipped into a coma and he was brain dead by last night. They kept him breathing so his grandmother could come and say goodbye.:sad1:

If you are so inclined, pray for this poor family.

I know that's a sad note to end with this morning. Sorry for being a downer. But when I woke and read about this tragedy, I thought this family could use all the prayer support they could get.:sad2:

Hi everyone! Okay, I'll admit, I've been a lurker for far too long! :guilty: I have finally succumbed to my obsession and joined in. I have read your entire thread and you all seem so fun! I feel like I know you all already. I warned my family that I will be on the laptop more than ever now!:surfweb: I love those smilies! I'm usually not very technologically skilled, so that's something I have figured out! There's so much to learn...

About us:
Me - Mom - Sheree -40 (gulp!)
DH - Dave -45

We live in Minnesota so going to WDW in the middle of winter is the best! Have to escape the below 0 temps! We really are snowbirds! Although around here, we call people snowbirds when they go south for the WHOLE winter!
The whole family has been to WDW 3 times, DH many times and me, 5 times. Never got to go until I was 29! So deprived as a child. I guess I'm making up for it with my kids! We'll be at SOG from 1/28- 2/1 and then a 4 day cruise on the Wonder. My MIL and SIL will be joining us. MIL has the military benefits so it's great when she comes and we can stay at SOG.
We have ADRs at LeCellier on 1/31 and Mama Melrose's (Fantasmic package) on 1/29.
Good to meet you all!

Sheree

:welcome: Ohhhhhhhhh I love SOG.... biggest rooms on property.... I too am afraid to cruise.... its dry land for me....

Wow! :yay: Congratulations! :thumbsup2 MAke sure to but yourself something really nice with a bit of that! :goodvibes

#5 - Oh yeah, baby!
Sounds like a great plan to me - bring it on! :thumbsup2

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: I so remember doing that to my parents! In HS I hated doing any typing - so I always sweet talked my Dad in to typing my reports and essays for me! ;) When I was in my last year, he said he was gonna start charging me a dollar a word so I had to do it myself - or go broke! :upsidedow
:goodvibes

I love that idea:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

How terrible and it happened so suddenly to someone so young. It really makes me put things into perspective and realize how blessed I am for the health of my family. It could change at a moment's notice. I will definitely be keeping the family in my prayers and thoughts.

OMG that poor family. My thoughts and prayers are with them this morning. It does put things in prespective and makes one grateful for what they have. I think I will go home and hug my kids extra hard today :(

If I am not mistaken I think my countdown maybe 90 today...I have to go look it up!

Good morning Snowbirds.

It is a dark rainy yucky day here so far. I knew our sunny 80 degree October weather was too good to be true.

Oh Peach3es, that is so terrible. That poor little boy and his family. That is so scary that something like that could happen. We will all be praying for them.

Good morning everyone,

Peaches, Thank you for sharing about Danny. He and his family are in my prayers.

This makes me bring up a topic my DH and I were discussing a few days back. We were talking about the economy and I asked DH if perhaps I should scale back the trip a little or postpone it. He said no we can not afford to NOT take a great vacation. That a great vacation with wonderful memories is worth it no matter what. See DH lost his dad when he was only 10. DH said that the money sitting in the bank won't bring you happy memories down the road. I love my DH!

The resturant I'm looking to is.....Le Cellier I just can't wait to get some of that yummy pretzel bread and cheese soup! Yum yum drool!

I'm off to run my DS to preschool....

Fun! Love the menu idea.
We ate here our last trip and are planning on going again. DH liked it more than I did, but I'm not bummed to return.
For the record - we had the artisan breads and spreads (okay, LOVED the roasted garlic spread) and the bread salad (panzanella) for appetizers. The salad was pretty good, DH makes an awesome one, though.
For entrees, I had their tuna, which I don't see anymore. I may have to try their steak this time!
The kids had pizza and fruit salad and enjoyed it.
The adults skipped dessert... :sad2:

I'm glad everyone loves the menu posting idea! :goodvibes

DH and I felt the same exact way about Mama Melrose. He LOVED it and said it was the best meal of the trip. I liked it and thought it was pretty good, but didn't have to go back. But I'm glad we are. We had the artisan breads and spreads too. DH had the Spicy Italian Sausage and pasta. I had the Wood Grilled Chicken and pasta. I think I'm getting the steak this time. I've heard it's very good!

Shelly..... I make Penne a la vodka all the time for dinner.... my kids love it.... Mama Melrose is one of our fav places to eat... I love their steak... over the red roasted pepper polenta... and I don't even like polenta.... theirs is yummy..... ohhhhhhhh I wish we were going there this time.... I let the boys pick all the dining this time.....

My boys wouldn't pick it either! :confused3

Keep trying, something might open up! :goodvibes

My DD has her yearly check up next Thursday, so I'm not sure how tall she is right now. At her last check up, she was 40 inches tall. She's in about the 20th percentile for weight (she's not even 40lbs) and the 25th for height. She's very petite. I don't know if she would like EE. She's never been on a roller coaster before!

My kids are very small too. DS7 just hit 44" when we went in May. He was 6 1/2 then. He just went for his 7-year check-up this week and he's still 44" and 43 lbs.:confused3 DS9 has gotten a little taller. He was thrilled when he hit 48" and could ride RNRC, now I can't keep him off of it!! He's still very skinny though. I guess they don't have much chance of getting big with DH and I as their parents! :rotfl:

You sure can join the Snowbirds!! :goodvibes Don't be shy, we aren't!! :lmao: But then you already know that if you've read through the entire thread. Hey did you just read through this one, or both of them??? :rotfl:

I too was deprived as a child! No WDW for me until I was 32! Then it was 3 trips in less than 3 years!! So this will be my family's 4th trip! :yay:

WELCOME to the Snowbirds! :cool1: I will get you added to the list! :thumbsup2

I do think that the lines for Fantasmic will be long in January. I didn't think so at first and we weren't going to do the Fantasmic dinner package, but then they announced that they were only showing it 2 times a week. Then I figured we needed the package. If you don't want to do the package, just make sure you check the line at about 2 hours before the show. If no one is there, then go back at about 1 1/2 hours prior and check it out again. I would think people would start lining up by then.

Good luck! :goodvibes
