Yippee!! On the 4 month range!! With fall,Halloween and christmas shopping to plan for-we are not gonna notice the 4months. I put a christmas shopping thread on the family boards--ya'll get on there!! We must get our budgets ready for this & preparing for our trips!!!

Speaking of Halloween :maleficen (and I guess this could be a question of the day:cool1: ):

What are your children/you dressing up as for Halloween?

I'm getting Belle two costumes (one for school and one for our fall festival). Did I mention I'm a Shopaholic and I found a really good deal on these? Anyway, she's going to be Cinderella princess: at school and Minnie Mouse ::MinnieMofor the Fall Festival at our church. I am considering dressing like Sharpay from High School Musical since I work with teenage girls. They think it's a funny idea and DH says I have Ashley Tisdale hair.:goodvibes

I'm so excited!! My husband informed me last night that it looks like his parents ARE actually going to come to Disney and watch him run the marathon!! He was so surprised that I was doing a dance of joy (because, of course, they're my in-laws), but I pointed out that they've never once even tried to watch him run. (They're also adament Disney haters - though, probably more people haters - and refuse to get near the place)

Otherwise, I work in academia (staff side) and move-in starts tomorrow. Things are getting crazy around here and I'm running out of time to obsess over Disney!!!

Goodmorning everyone! I don't have much going on today. Just wanted to say hello!:dance3:

Hi Laumau! We are going to be at the WL at the same time as you.:goodvibes

Cool! This is our first time at Disney World- looks like you've been there a few times. What made you decide to stay at WL this time?

For Halloween my little girl has already requested Minnie Mouse!!The boys don't know what yet-the oldest is 12 going on 13 and isn't sure if he's doing it this year. Minnie will work for our Fall Festival as well. She's already been Cindy and Aurora, so moving on to the Big Cheese I guess!!!

DS6 is going to be a Power Ranger and DS9 is going to be a skeleton! They picked out the costumes last year when they were on clearance right after Halloween!! :cool1:

Bellasoleil - How is your Grandpa doing?

So today I finally got fed up with Airtran and decided to change Airlines! I called and cancelled our flights with Airtran and rebooked on Northwest. In the end I ended up paying just over 70 dollars more for the new tickets! :cool1: I honestly couldn't remember why I had originally chosen Airtran over NWA in the first place! :confused3 Oh well, I feel very much at peace with the way things are now! It is a direct flight that arrives in Orlando at 11:20 am!  We may try Airtran again sometime in the future if they are still around but I just got too fed up with their changes and such........ :)

Congrats on the new flights! :cool1:

I felt the same way, even though we have had great experiences in the past with AT, we just didn't want to risk a layover and have to keep worrying about flight changes over the next 5 months!

My kids are going to be Buzz Lightyear and a cheerleader :) I always get the kids costumes after halloween on clearance and then store them for the next year. At this age they are excited about anything when they get a bit older they'll tell me what they want and then I won't be able to get good deals :rotfl:

So you can change my resort...I switched us to GF castle view. Dh told me last night he didn't think he'd like the resort but I think the monorail is a must so he lost :rotfl2: He doesn't know yet but I'll tell him whenever I make the final payment. I'm still holding out hope we can get into the CR.

I've been to nearly every resort as a Castmember (five years ago) and have never seen the inside of WL. It has always intrigued me and after reading such rave reviews, I decided it was the one for us. This is also our 2nd Honeymoon and last trip without DD. It seems like a very romantic place for winter.:lovestruc

DD8 is going to be Hermione from Harry Potter (again) and DD6 hasn't decided yet. Her costume from last year is too small, though. She would like to be Tinkerbell or SilverMist, but it's hard to justify the cost of the costume. I may make one of those.

How's the photopass share going Wilsonfamily? I mentioned it early on in this thread but no one responded. So I started one on the budget board and it filled up quite fast. Actually we had to break it into 2 groups. I *may* have one more opening for someone going in the second half of January. (we are still waiting on 1 person to respond, I am giving her until the end of this week)

We have 5! So doing good. I woudl like 1-3 more. Pretty easy to put one together. I'm glad.

Great point! My DD actually still believes that Santa comes to our house, and I'm sure it's the last year for it. She's such a dreamer!! I won't be able to justify a budget Christmas if our Disney Trip has nothing to do with Santa!! Santa is leaving matching Disney Crocs for Lauren and Mommy, and I bought her some clothes for the trip, but she has already sent her list to Santa for next year! Luckily she's not greedy - she only wants a Nintendo DS and an American Girl doll (Molly).:scared1:

She's going to believe everything and everybody are real at Disney World, although she's a scaredy girl too, so I've convinced her that the suit characters really are people in suits so she won't get scared.

The DS would probably come in handy on the car trip, so she'll probably get that, but I'll definitely be doing some creative shopping this year. DH and I will get nothing, and DS doesn't get hung up on amount of gifts.

I'll check out the budget board tonight.

Good evening snowbirds!

Checking in late today, as it's been a crazy kind of day.

We spent all day celebrating DS's birthday. Lunch, park, bowling and then dinner with Nana and Pappy. It was a fantastic day. I can't believe he is 4 already.

For Halloween, he's decided that he wants to be a knight. Off I go to hunt for the perfect knight costume.

As for the tickers . . . it won't be long until some of us are headed into the 3 month range :thumbsup2

It does seem like a great place to go in the winter. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great birthday! My youngest will be 4 soon too- October 5th! :cheer2:

Halloween- My son is going to be Woody from Toy Story- gotthe costume for $5 at a yard sale wit hall the pieces!:woohoo: I can't decide for my daughter- she's only 18 months so it's my pick. I wanted to be cute and dress her up as Jessie to match but that costume is a bit beyond my budget right now. I'd rather save my $ for WDW in 4 months!!!

Looked for the Christmas thread but couldn't find it? Can you post a link?

No Halloween here!:sad1: My kids usually do have a Purim party at their Arab school. They call it Spring Carnival, but it coincides with the Jewish holiday of Purim. They get to dress up most years, but no candy! They miss Halloween!

The AG dolls get you everytime...so expensive! We've really lucked into all the dolls we have. I have an older cousin who is getting rid of her dolls slowly so she gives them to dd. But she's very into the dolls of the year (looks forward to the catalog every month and asks everytime I get the mail if the catalog came today  ) and those aren't the ones we are getting from my cousin so last year we bought Nicki but I'm not sure if we will get Mia this year or not. We live in Chicago and going to the store is such an experience. I took dd last year and she was in doll heaven :rotfl:
Nintendo DS is no cheapo either...I know as they get older their wants get more expensive :( Good luck getting your gifts...I hope you get some good deals so you can save more $$ for Disney!
