Does anyone else besides me have the post-Olympics blues?

And did anyone else besides me get a little misty-eyed when our men's volleyball team won the gold medal? I'm such a sap about stuff like that!

Back on topic, I saw on the disboards home page that wristbands are no longer needed for EMH. We'll just have to show our resort id. Speaking of which, that'll just be a room key card that also has our park ticket and dining plan information on it. Is this correct? What do the tickets look like for those not staying onsite? Just curious!

I love everyone's answers to the question of the day - giving me lots of great ideas!

Yep, it's all on one little card - your room key, DDP, and park tickets!! :goodvibes Very convenient!

I have the post-olympic blues :( I love the olympics and am now wondering what I'm going to be watching on tv since they are done. I was so happy they won the gold in volleyball...in the face of horrible tragedy for their coach they pulled out the gold which yes did make me a little misty.

Thanks for all the good info about the calendar and the room key. I wasn't sure how that all worked. I think I tried to make my adr's early enough so we wouldn't miss the parades and fireworks. I hear the TS meals can take a while.

I'm still having resort issues. We ended up booking at WL but dh only picked that resort because he liked the lodgy feel AND thought it had monorail access as well (don't get me started on how he never listens to me :confused3 ) so now I'm TRYING to find a monorail resort we'll be happy at. I REALLY REALLY want a tower room at CR however even Atrium club is now booked. I'm super bummed because all along I've wanted to stay there. So now we are looking at GF. I don't know much about the resort and am unsure if we'll like staying there. It seems really big although a room with MK view is available and that's something we're looking for in a monorail resort. I have to call my AAA TA tomorrow and talk more to her about it. I must be driving her nuts :rotfl:

Looks like Airtran changed one of my flight times, too. Only I don't mind because it means we get to Disney earlier!! Now we can go to the parks that day :cool1:

Well, I have heard that rooms open up later in the season. Is there any way to book what is available then ask your travel agent to keep an eye out for what you do want? I've just seen pictures but the GF is gorgeous - can't imagine having a bad time there!

:rotfl: my dh said he didn't like the resort :rotfl2: Who doesn't like THAT resort :rotfl2: He's really getting on my nerves! He tells me to book whatever will make me happy then I show him what I've come up with until we can get to the CR (if that happens) and he says he doesn't like the rooms and doesn't think he'd like the resort. I'm just so over him making these decisions already :confused3 He REALLY REALLY wants to stay at the WL so for him unless we can move to CR with a view of MK for his princess princess: nothing else will really appeal to him. He doesn't think the monorail is a big deal and thinks the boat will be fine. I don't think he realizes how efficient and convenient that monorail will be getting us to our dining reservations at GF, Poly, and CR. I guess I can just say I told you so :rolleyes1 So it looks as though I'll just take my chances and wait to see if a CR MK view room opens up. I'm just frustrated with him and want this to be done

Good morning, snowbirds! Hope you all slept well! It's 9:20 am here, and so far all I've accomplished is 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer! I've got laundry and other cleaning to do, and I have to finish covering my kids school books with plastic. Fun times! :lmao:

We've been without a car for a few weeks now as our old car died and buying a new car here takes a long time. We hope to have wheels again by next week...but that doesn't help me with back to school shopping and haircuts, etc. And man, my boys need a trim!:hippie:

Doesn't leave much time for Disney dreaming, though I manage to talk about Disney at least once a day anyway! Enjoying a few more minutes of this:surfweb: before diving into that cleaning!

I'm here, waving at you all from Jerusalem while you are sleeping peacefully in your beds. And for those who are awake, I'm waving at you too!:yay:

Good morning Snowbirds!!

Just wanted to pop in and give a wave. Got the kids off to first day of school today and now I have the whole day ahead of me. I'm dressed, showered and ready to go and it's only 8:15! :lmao:

Haven't done anything in the way of Disney lately. ;)

Goodmorning everyone! I don't have much going on today. Just wanted to say hello!:dance3:

Hi Laumau! We are going to be at the WL at the same time as you.:goodvibes

Count me in on the lazy train today!! Had a very busy day yesterday and took 2 kids to the DR for swimmers ear. Lordy--Those ear drops cost a small fortune!!! $95 per bottle(one for each kid) and that's with our insurance!!!
So, today they are sleeping in a bit and then I'll have to crack the whip--we now have today & yesterdays school work to do.:scared1:

Well, at least we have no plans for the day--I am tooooo tired!!!
Hmmm, today sounds like the day to plan my ADRs!!!!Do any of you do the Lunch with an Imagineer? Dh did it last year and loved it, so I am sending him again in Jan--only thing is, you have to wait until 2months out to ADR,,,so I will just have to have a big GAP in my little planning schedule!!

I just redid my ticker and am sooo happy with it--it's actually the 3rd one I tried before I found a perfect fit. So, now I feel that I am actually ready to move forward in my trip planning!!!

Good morning Snowbirds! :goodvibes

Nothing much going on here today either. I did mountains of laundry yesterday! Today I'd like to give the kids haircuts. Tonight is Open House at the school. Only one more week until school starts. :sad2:

Can ya'll belive our tickers are in the 4 month range! 4 months sounds so close! Yipee!!!!

It does! Oi! I've got a lot to do before the 4 months is up! Find renters for our place, move back to the US for 7 months, get Christmas stuff together, stalk the DIS...not to mention my actual job!:scared: Oh, yeah...and I have to continue being a Mom. Funny how that works!:lmao:

Yay, 4 months!

This week I am going to try to call and see if I can get a better time for Le Cellier. I know my chances are horrid but I figure I have 4 months to call and see. I need the time changed by about 30-40 minutes to ensure we get to see Illuminations.

How's the photopass share going Wilsonfamily? I mentioned it early on in this thread but no one responded. So I started one on the budget board and it filled up quite fast. Actually we had to break it into 2 groups. I *may* have one more opening for someone going in the second half of January. (we are still waiting on 1 person to respond, I am giving her until the end of this week)

Yippee!! On the 4 month range!! With fall,Halloween and christmas shopping to plan for-we are not gonna notice the 4months. I put a christmas shopping thread on the family boards--ya'll get on there!! We must get our budgets ready for this & preparing for our trips!!!
