Thank you for the info. - We will definitely leave the princess to be a princess in the 3-4 group. I am making the fish extender but I am not quite sure exactly what it is for can you clarify this for me - my DH (Randy) said something about candy - help me understand. I never realized how much extra there was to do. Like ckr Santa brought our Disney cruise so I am working hard to make sure I have the right stuff and the extra stuff.

I think it's just little trinket-like mail - we didn't have one on our last cruise, but I'm going to jump in and hang one up this time around. Of course, our cabin is on one of the probably lowest-traffic areas on the ship, so hopefully people will go out of their way to find it. I know I'll enjoy exploring other decks to leave things in others' extenders.

We're actually flying down Saturday morning. Jim (owensjro) is somewhat worries that there might be bad weather so half-planning to change our flights to Friday night, but hey - how often do we get snow in January in NC (just ignore the 22 inches we got a few years back around the same date!)

We are staying Saturday night at BCV - Jim and Hannah are looking forward to the PPP and some autograph-getting, but I'm just hoping to get some time in at Stormalong Bay!1

So, if I can get around to making one of these, do I need to sign up? I'm still altering formals and making pirate costumes. (Whose idea was it to wait to give this gift to them at Christmas?!? Yikes I've got A LOT to do!! )

Hi Bonnie, welcome to the Thaw cruise. Even us Alabamians will need to Thaw, it got down to 16 degrees the other night!

Just to let you know, our Daughter is 4 1/2 and will be in the club as well and is EXTREMELY into all things princess, so looks as though they will be having fun together.

Lastly, to all of you North Carolina folks, I am a Statistician and do lots of SAS programming, so I know all about the Cary, NC area...

Bonnie, small world..there is a BUNCH of us from NC going..my group alone is 10 strong.. I also have a DS who is 10.

Roodoll got in safely last night from Guam and I am looking forward to seeing her today!!!

We are flying out on Friday (amanda, you guys are brave leaving on Saturday!) and staying at Saratoga Springs. Then on the 26th we are staying one night to go to the P and P party.

Just wanted to offer my opinion on the 3-4 verses the 5-7 groups. On the first cruise that we took, Grace (who is now 7) was a couple weeks shy of 5. We thought she may want to be with the older group, but after we visited with the counselors and visited the club, we decided to put her in the 3-4's. The teachers also pointed out that the 3-4's were princess centered and the 5-7's were hero and pirate centered. Grace had a great time. We also noticed that, at least on that cruise, there were more girls than boys in the 3-4's. Hope thats helpful.

Hi All!!

Just wanted to let Beth know we finally got our room. It is 6140.
I was so bummed out this week after the loss of our dog that I wasn't really excited about the trip. But after today that has changed. Planning on this site has really helped.

Oh yeah, we called the vet about our other dog, and he said she was just lonley. So, guess what!! My husband decided that we needed a puppy!!!! She comes home on Tuesday. The resuce group we are getting her from is willing to sit for her while we are on vacation, so know all we have to worry about is getting Harlie the other dog to my parents and we will be ready to go.....

teenie - thanks for the info. on the club. I am definitely going to keep her with the 3-4 group since those with experience have helped me out.

We are going down on Thursday the 17th flying out after the boys get out of school. We are staying at the GF on Thursday and Friday night. DD (4) is doing the tea party with Alice & friends at GF on Friday afternoon. The family is dining at the Ohana Luau on Friday night at 5:00. We will also be at the P&PP on the Saturday we return. DH really packed this trip with tons of fun! I need the spa.

tidefan - I am glad to know that my DD will make a friend close in age. She wakes up every morning asking is it cruise day yet - I can't wait to tell here YES it is cruise day!

Beth - thank you for the fish extender info. I think I can handle same treats and that will be a great adventure for the boys to help find all the room #'s on the ship - don't worry you won't be left out.

Off the the mall soon the by all the things I think I need but don't have clothes wise for the kids & DH too!

OK. So, next Sunday is DS's 4th birthday and my DH is working both Saturday & Sunday so I will be cleaning & baking most of Sunday before the party (his cake + he needs cupcakes to bring to daycare on Monday for a party there!). We then leave that Friday. Doesn't leave much running around time.

Got all my clothes & DS's clothes figured out this weekend! Just need to wash some of the new ones and load them into the suitcases!

Got my fish extender plus a bunch of items to put into other ones, most of my DIS bag is done - need 2 more items, but I know where to get them, hotels are booked, rental cars booked, got my tickets for Seaworld for after the cruise, arranged transportation to the airport, asked my neighbors to feed my cats, got an over the door holder.

Just need to pack (and purchase?) nonclothes items, pick up a signature matted picture frame (the one I bought has a 5x7 frame and apparantly Shutters doesn't make that size), pick up some magnet paper to make door signs, cancel the mail & newspapers. WHAT AM I FORGETTING???

Deep breaths, we are almost there!!! See you all Sunday at 9am!

For the last couple of years, I have loved these boards. We went to Disney World last October and got such wonderful advice and answers to questions from these boards! I was thrilled. And now we are going on the January 19 Eastern Caribbean Cruise and have gotten an equal amount of advice and answers from the wonderful people on these boards!

However, I have never been on the cruise meet board so today I decided to check it out. I see many other North Carolinians. We are from Charlotte. Our group is me, DH, DD - 10, and DD - 9. Then my sister is going with her two children, DS - 12 and DD - 10. We are so excited and look forward to seeing all of you!

Just in case anyone is interested, Costco (at least our one here) has a rolling duffle for $35 less a $10 discount so $25. It looks to be a good size and folds down relatively flat - its lightish too.

Just thought I would share if anyone is interested. Its a great deal!
