January 18, 2014 FANTASY 7 Day Western!

Would love to join this cruise meet. We are a family of 5 staying in Rm 9636. Me, my husband, and 3 kiddos. DS(11), DD(7) and DD (5). This is our first Disney cruise:banana: Hope it is not to late :)

Waving to the people on the Fantasy webcam right now and telling them to take good care of OUR ship! :dance3: See you next week Disney Fantasy!

Hi again ... we're staying in Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral this Fri night, and have a car. Anyone interested in meeting up for dinner somewhere Fri night? We have a shy DD 9, and outgoing DS 7, and would love to help them meet some kids beforehand. Anyone interested?

While digging through my daughter's closet I found a minnie mouse jumper dress she wore to DL when she was 1 1/2 years old. Is there anyone on here who has a daughter who it would fit and would like it? I'd love to pass it on to someone who would use it! At the time I purchased it she measured 19" around the chest and was around 30" tall. I did ask for it to have some growing room, so it will fit a child a bit larger than those measurements. If anyone one here wants it, I can bring it to the meetup (I just need to know by Monday so I can pack it). Here is a picture of it:

I'll have to run it by dh, but we'll be staying in PC Friday too. We'll be going to the space center that day, but it closes at 5 so we should have time for dinner after. We do have a car so we could meet close to wherevver you are staying. I have an outgoing 9yo ds, more reserved 6yo ds, and an outgoing 4yo dd.

Sounds great! Email me privately at klemley at cinci dot rr com if interested in meeting up for dinner Fri before the cruise. The more the merrier. Maybe something simple like pizza to make the kiddos happy.

I just emailed you, let me know if you don't get it. It'd be great to make connections before the cruise!

Hello!

First time Disney Cruisers! Last minute vacation plan and joining the group. Would like to attend the attend the meet up. In my travelling party is 5 adults and 5 kids (girls: 11, 11; boys: 10, 5, 3).[/QUOTE
I am just finding this forum -- I know, so late. The ages of your children jumped out at me because we have 6 adults and 5 kids, girls: 11, 11, boys: 11, 8 and a toddler girl. Maybe we will see you at the kids clubs!

I just discovered this forum and it is great! Husband and I haven't cruised in years and this is the first time with DCL and friends and kids. We have six adults and five children -- 2 girls age 11, 1 boy age 11, 1 boy age 8-1/2, and one toddler girl. We have three adjoining rooms on deck 8. Would love to visit the meet 'n greet as we are very social people and love to make friendships on trips.

We'd love to see you at the meet 'n greet! It really is cool to know some faces as you walk around the ship for the week. 2:30 in D Lounge (Deck 4, Midship) Looking forward to meeting you there!

Meg and I are leaving New Zealand tonight! :cool1:

Ok. I know this may have come up before, but has anyone here actually used the laundry machines on board? We are pretty good about mixing and matching for extended use of outer wear and the kids will likely be living in their swim suits but with a teenage boy I know clean shirts and underwear will be the issue. Trying to decide if I want to take the time to wash a load of necessities or just go but a couple new packs for the kids... (Sigh!) It's just this, the formal wear and toiletries and we will be packed! Yay! Oh, and I have to package up my FE gifts that I finally finished after changing my mind a couple times. Lol. First time FE jitters. :-)

Hi, yes, we used them extensively (unfortunately - my 7 year old had some nausea issues - don't worry, I used bleach in the machines afterwards!) on the Med cruise we took in 2011 (although in full disclosure, it was the Magic and not the Fantasy). There weren't a ton of machines, advice would be 1) do your laundry in the mornings, the afternoons are crazy busy, and 2) prepare for the dryers to take several cycles. I'm trying really hard to not do laundry this time, I feel like I missed part of the trip :headache:

So, when's everyone coming in? I know some of the New Zealanders have already started the migration. We're flying in Friday night - I'm a bit too paranoid to fly in day of in case a flight gets cancelled. We're staying at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach and catching a shuttle Sat. morning.

Happy Packing!
Allison

Greetings from rainy Philadelphia! My family and I are excited to experience our 1st Disney Cruise. We would enjoy participating in the meet and greet. My wife and I have DD (14), DS (9) and DS (7). Our kids are definitely looking for others to hang with throughout the week, as we adults can be "embarrassing"...

Hi... and welcome aboard. Don't worry, according to our kids, we hold the title of Most Embarrassing Parents Ever, so you are in the clear.

Happy packing & safe travels. pirate::sail:

I fly into TPA today! Fiancée is already there. :) We head to WDW Friday after a few days painting our new house!

Hi Allison , we are flying in Friday from Cali and not getting in until 6 or 7pm. There was a lot of discussion on this at this cruises Facebook site too. Some north easterners are nervous about the weather interfering with Saturday flights I just hope everyone makes it safely.
