January 18, 2014 FANTASY 7 Day Western!

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I was thinking tasting when you said mixology. Thanks for your help.

Here is what Special Requests sent me for things we could do as a private event. Mixology seems like the most fun as it should have the most variety and it is participatory. All of these classes are also offered individually so there are plenty of options. I have been warned about the chocolate class as it is more about the alcohol pairings with chocolate.

Champagne: $30.00pp
Martini: $15.00pp
Beer: $15.00pp
Mixology: $15.00pp
Tequila / Margarita: $15.00pp
Cognac: $20.00pp
Whiskey: $20.00pp
Wine: $15.00pp
Chocolate: $30.00pp

Hi!

The mixology class is different from some of the other classes, which are called tastings. The bartender will teach us how to make 5 drinks and then they actually bring you behind the bar and you take a turn making and serving! I have read about it and it sounds fun. I cannot remember the drinks, but I am pretty sure one was a mojito. For the tastings, they teach you about a specific spirit. I have been to the tequila tasting twice, and will be signing up for a third! :woohoo:

Hope that helps out!
Dawn

I was wondering about the tequila tasting. $15 seemed low for good tequila, but if you are going for the hat trick, I will have to check it out.

It includes 4 shots of the different types of Patron and one Margarita. Depending on the person hosting, extras may be given too!

That will do nicely. I did the tasting at the tequila bar in Epcot during Food and Wine and that was amazing. I will book this when I see it come up on the daily planner.

Hi, forgive me, I'm catching up - when you say daily planner, do you mean the cruise website or something else? Do they start adding things on to the website like mixology classes closer to our sail date? Thanks!

I think she is referring to the daily navigator :) Each night during the turn down service you will be given a navigator in your stateroom which outlines what is going on, on the ship the next day.

Here are some examples if you're interested :cool1:http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/cr-stateroom-navigator.htm

Yep, way too many options from what In hear.

Yes! It's not worth trying to do it all, as much as you may want to!
A great tip is to bring a highlighter so that you can mark which activities you want to do the night before.

RUNNING LOG:
I've just started running again. I'd made too many excuses and then just started ignoring it. Now I'm going to pay for it! I'm unfit again, and it's really hot now that summer is here. But hey, I guess we will be running on a Caribbean island after all.

Hi... I am fairly certain we'll be able to watch Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks onboard. Does anyone know what else we'll be able to see at sea?

:santa:And a very Merry Christmas to everyone as well!:santa:

Sounds great, thanks for sharing. I can't wait, it's so close but still so far away

Make time to see Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks. They are both great! I will make time to see both again on the cruise

I am definitely going to make time to watch these two films on the ship!

Aside from those I have a feeling we'll get a bunch of their more popular releases from the past couple of years or so. I'm guessing Thor, maybe Iron Man 3, Monsters University, Planes? Something along those lines.

On our last cruise Frankenweenie was released in cinemas that week so we got to see the premEAR for that which was awesome!

Disney just called, we can have either 2 to 3 on Sunday or Thursday (both are sea days). I think falls in an open space between brunches and dinners. LMK what you think and I have to confirm by Friday. Need to get a final headcount and stateroom numbers.

Sunday sounds great... I think 2:00 may be easier for folks who have early dining. We are late diners, so either time is perfectly fine for me!

Hi Everyone!

I know it is getting close but I have compiled the favorite characters list for people participating in our Fish Extenders. I went through the thread a few times and I think I caught all of your posts and changes regardless of which of the split groups you are in. If you want the favorite character list, please PM me your email.

The list of people that I never received favorite characters for is posted over in the FE thread, so please check there. I'd love it if you could still provide them. Thanks!
