January 15, 2006 / 1/15/2006 anyone?

Laura,
I hope everyone in your family gets well soon. I am thinking about putting the kids inside bubbles the week before we leave for the cruise :rotfl2:

I checked our reservation it is now saying second seating, before it said 8:30.
Michele

Michele,
I am going to do the same thing as well. 2 of my daughters are getting colds so hopefully if they get sick they will hurry and do it now ..lol

I got those chewable vitamin C tablets that I am making everyone take. They will make you toes curl. Lots of yukky faces all around, but maybe they will help...but they sure can't hurt!
Laura

Three weeks from today we'll be leaving for the cruise :cool1: I can't wait. I hope everyone has a Happy Holidays!!
Michele

Leaving in 3 weeks also..whoo hoo!!

Everyone have a safe holiday!

WONDERful!! so far only one member in our group has gotten documents....hopefully they will get here soon....we have been waiting over a year for this cruise, that will be one of the milestones to show that its almost here!!

We got our documents today too :earsboy:

Jamie,
What was the boys reaction to their Christmas present?
Michele

Hey everyone!!!

No docs for US yet - :confused3 but ANY day now I'm sure!

Michele,
Well, I ended up wrapping up a "certificate" that I made up and they opened it on Christmas Eve. They were really excited! I don't think Nathan actually "got it" right away though - cuz a few minutes later when I was trying to take a picture of them w/the certificate he asked "what that paper meant" (Jake read it out loud, but very fast and he was busy laughing and jumping up and down) so then I explained it to Nathan - and that's when it dawned on him - so I got a cute picture of his look of surprise! Then we played the planning DVD for them, which they really enjoyed. The funny thing is they have barley asked ANY questions about it. Nathan did ask WHEN - but of course Jake has this "thing" about not wanting to know - so we just said "in less than a month". Since then neither one has said too much about it - of course I keep bringing it up and telling them little things about it and showing them pictures etc. on the internet, but I swear if I didn't say anything we could probably just wake them up the day we leave and surprise them all over again! Weird kids - I would want to know EVERYthing about it - but not them! They MUST be their father's children - ha!
Does anyone have any idea's yet for a time/place to meet?? I was thinking maybe around 3:00 ish?? but where? I have NO clue! Nathan did seem excited when I told him (and showed him the pictures) of Blake and the other kids - so that is a good sign!

Does Blake swim? Nathan LOVES the water - but he isn't very brave in it! He HATES to get his face wet, so it's been challanging for him at times. We need to do more swimming lessons this winter - but won't get that in before the cruise unfortunately. I did sign him up for the Stringray excursion at Castaway Cay - he SAYS he wants to do it - we'll SEE.

Is anyone else doing that excursion?

Well, I better get back to my "to do" list here! I'll be in touch!
Jamie

I haven't been very active on this thread, but we are on the 1/15/06 Wonder Cruise as well, it is my fiance', his 10yr son and myself (sorry I'm not up on the correct Disney lingo). This is their first cruise so it should be fun. "Our" son was so excited when he finally figured out this gift for Christmas, I setup a scavenger hunt and along the way there were Disney items included, finally towards the end he realized a theme and I don't think he was very excited, he isn't really into Disney, his main interests are with sports, but when I explained he could play basketball in the middle of the ocean, he got excited.

Looking forward to our cruise and to meet everyone!!!

we6clarks- I sent you a direct email today, we are from Louisville also!!!!

Stephannie

3 sounds like a good time to meet to me. I don't know where we should meet either. Any ideas Tiffany?

Blake likes water but he doesn't like to get in water that's over his head. A bigger kids dunked him in the pool when he was 3. He has never gotten over it.

I borrowed some suitcases from my parents tonight so I can do some more packing.

Nice to meet you Stephanie.
Michele

Nice to meet you as well Stephannie

3 should work for me.....but the one thing we have to remember is the life boat drill is at 4 so we would have less than an hour to meet because we will all have to go back to the rooms for our lifevests and get ready for the drill....... unless you all want to meet more closer to the 5 o clock sail away ?? :confused3 or we could possibly do it the next day if the first will be too hectic....I dont know.... :goodvibes

We got our documents today via UPS from Expedia. YEA! I am just waiting to see where you guys decide to meet since I have NO idea where things are or good times...but we will plan to show up too!
Laura

What time is everyone planning on getting to the port? Maybe we could meet at the port before boarding or on the ship earlier than 3? I didn't know the safety drill was at 4. What would we do with out you Tiffany?
Michele

We got our docs from Expedia today too! :cool1:

Yeah - maybe we should try to meet sooner than 3:00... We are HOPING to get to the port EARLY - I am thinking by 10:30. So meeting at the terminal might work fine for us - or I would think meeting on the ship a (earlier than 3:00) could work too - I'll wait to hear what everyone would rather do - either way sounds good!

So you've started packing Michele?? I'm jealous! I haven't even had time to think about it yet and I'm getting itchy! Hopefully I'll get started this weekend.

Jamie

We plan on getting to the port early as well....maybe if everyone is getting to the port early we could plan a 1:30 or 2 o'clock meeting since technically we cant get to our rooms until 2:30 that way everyone should be done getting lunch and running to make any reservations....I dont know, what do you all think ?

Maybe the second day would work better that way no one is rushed ?? I mean I hate to wait until the second day since its only a 4 day cruise but I dont want anyone to feel like they have to rush around...it is vacation afterall :rotfl:

Either way I want to get the kids together as soon as possible that way hopefully some friendships will be made and they will have a blast at the kids clubs

Jamie,
I havent even started to think about packing yet either...lol We are leaving in 2 weeks so I better get moving!

What time can we get on the ship? I want to get there as soon as possible...to get the most out of it!!!! Since it is my fiance'/son's first cruise, I want them to get acquainted and heck I want to relax!!!

Steph

We are planning to get to the port between 10:30-11. It depends on how long it takes to drive from Jacksonville to Port Canaveral. Meeting at 1:30 or 2 seems good since we can't get in our rooms yet. It sounds like that will give us all time to eat and do any running around we need to do. Robert thinks I'm nutty for starting to pack so early.

Tiffany one more question for the moment. What do you do on the documents where the kids are supposed to sign? Do we sign their names for them? TIA
Michele
