Dear DVC cruise thread,

Let me clear up some confusion: I never asked for personal info from any of you as we respect everyone's privacy and would never want to compromise that. I asked for the FE list from Hollywood Glitter after she adds us 'latecomers' so that we can give out the 100+ gifts I have made. I don't care if the whole list gives us a gift back or not. I want Cathie to have the fun in giving all the gifts I have made. We make gifts every year for Salvation Army, the Angel Tree, the church, etc. as we love giving gifts (we volunteer and give a lot back to the community). She thinks I've made extra gifts for Give Kids the World (they partner with WDW and Make A Wish for terminally ill children) which I have, but what she doesn't know is that I have extra gifts for everyone on the FE list (in whatever format you want to send it). Sorry for any misunderstanding, John

Since you don't need personal info and you don't care about getting gifts back, you really don't need a list
Just walk around and drop something in every FE you see. Makes things simple and easy and actually more in the spirit of the original idea of the FE.
It's what we do.

I vote for the Top of the World. As long as people are staying on points at a DVC villa, there should be no problem getting up. I love fireworks and they're at 8 that night, if I looked it up correctly. So, I would plan on a 7 or 7:30 start!

I vote for the Top of the World. As long as people are staying on points at a DVC villa, there should be no problem getting up. I love fireworks and they're at 8 that night, if I looked it up correctly. So, I would plan on a 7 or 7:30 start!

So DDD do you just drop gifts in FEs or are you on this DIS FE list too or Both?

My wife and I have cruised with people who have been on official FE lists. My wife said it looked like fun being in a group who are so creative. I had always said that it looked like too much work for my vacation. But for her birthday I want her to be part of this DIS DVC FE and the meets, etc. She has some medical issues and hasn't been able to work. She has been really lonely at home and I just wanted her to be 'included' in something fun.

If people can accommodate us that would be great, but I just didn't want some people to tell HG not to add themselves to the partial list since we have gifts for all of you regardless of whether you all can give gifts. I hope I'm explaining myself clearly

If we can't do ToTW and decide on the Grand Floridian there are great spots on the beach or on the dock by Narcoosies to see the fireworks and the same goes for the Poly. Or if we were told no by ToTW then we could meet up at the food court of the Contemporary as a back up meeting spot then go out side to the fireworks viewing area outside the door by the gift shops and the bridge that goes to BLT.

We drop them in all unless we run out. We have been a part of FE lists and not. You have posted your cabin assignment, folks will be able to add you if they can. Since you have gifts for all would a list really be necessary?

I'm sure the meets times and places will be on the first post of the thread. You are included in those activities.

one thing to remember on the Dream you can get quite a workout handing out FE gifts. On the Maiden voyage there were over 80 rooms in our group and it was time consuming luckily my son did most of the running around. We are ok with adding any late comers.

Does anyone think Monsters Inc 3D will be shown on the ship? I'd rather not pay to see it at home if I can catch it on the cruise like we did with Nemo.

I know you can call 2 weeks prior but I don't know if it applies for a charter.

Most likely... Nemo was on the cruise in September and Avengers was on the cruise in May.
