Did anyone with a Yahoo email account....

wake up this morning to find most of your emails in the trash? What happened? Was I hacked? I tried to call customer service, but was told that's a paid feature. Then I looked online and saw an article from 8/27 saying Yahoo email users are going to have to pay to get more storage. Was I hacked? Just in case, I changed my password. But it was very unpleasant to wake up and find my Disneyland reservations, etc..not in my inbox.

Yahoo runs my email, no issues. But my email address does not include Yahoo in the address. I am with one of the umpteen defunct email services that Yahoo operates now.

I use a yahoo address for a small organization I volunteer with, so I checked. Apparently, we got more storage:

"Your Yahoo Mail free storage has been increased to 20 GB..."

Yahoo runs my email, no issues. But my email address does not include Yahoo in the address. I am with one of the umpteen defunct email services that Yahoo operates now.

That is the only email about storage I have gotten.

About a week ago my DH noticed he hasn’t gotten emails for several days. We went to t moble who said technically it’s yahoo that’s runs it. So she do a search and talk to them. Unfortunately I guess this went a 3 rd party and we we’re told there would be a 5$ charge. So then when I checked the bank statement we got charged 48$ for a maintenance plan which we didn’t ask for want or were told about. It was impossible to get a hold of this 3rd party I did finally find a chat but they wanted me to fill out the form but they kept asking for a password which we don’t have since we never set up account
So I called the bank and they did a dispute and about half hr later we got a message saying they cancelled the account and we’ll get a refund.
Not sure if having the bank do a dispute had anything to getting a refund.
