Our reservation is like yours, 2 rooms at Pop for the first 6 nights, then we're switchng resorts to AKL, but only one room. Depending on what package/and/or discount comes out, may change our plans. 2 rooms is great because we have an "adult only" room, but AKL is a deluxe so that's pretty awesome. Still waiting patiently...anyone ever been in february? I know they say that the parks are EMPTY and I can't wait because I first experience was during the heat wave at the end of Aug with crazy crazy crowds, we were in MK for 2 hours and the Heat knocked us out of the park ... which was terrible. But I'm so looking forward to low crowds!! Anyone else book this time for that reason?

I was in WDW February 24 - March 2005 and didn't think that the parks were that "empty" I guess that President's Day had an effect on my visit.

For 2006 I am going Feb 10th to Feb 18th (hoping that prior to President's Day will be better?)

The weather was changeable this past February, we had 70's to 80's some days, rain and mid to high 60's on other days.

We didn't really mind, after all we were at Disney

We don't go at that time of year because of crowds but because of tempurature....never again will I go between April and November. It is still so hot I can't tolerate it. I don't know how people do!

Crowds I can get away from....the heat just follows you everywhere!

We're planning for FEB 10-17, the week BEFORE President's Week, but touring plans.com has that week as 7 and 8 crowd levels!!! But I don't quite know why...
Has anyone been that week in the past? How are the crowds? I'm really stressing about this! Should we move the trip up to the week of January 28 to avoid the crowds? I'm freakin' out over this!

hlauburn: The week maybe higher because it is speed week at daytona. !!).

Last year we were there over superbowl the beginning of speedweek (and this time frame included madri gras, too) so it was busy, but bearable...we have been down there for much busier times.


We are going to be down there the week before this year (at least that's what I've booked so far 2/3- 2/12 at WL)

Based on last years Jan/Feb discounts, they came out Oct 30/31.
BUT, this years fall dscounts came out Sept 29ish (last year they came out Aug 28)....So I wonder if Jan/Feb discounts come out they will be released a month later as well (end of November)???
Any one have any thoughts?

I just got off the phone with Disney and was told that a new promotion started today. It was for a new package deal from Jan.1 through March 8th, but it was a post card only deal! Rats!! He said to keep waiting for room only discounts. For all of you people wanting Jan. packages keep on eye on that e-mail!

Thanks for the info. I kind of figured that there would be NO discounts for the first week of Jan. but since they are putting out post cards that include the first week of Jan., I have a little hope that there may be something for the general public for that week.

I am so going to upgrade from a value to a mod if I can get a good room only discount!!!
