Jan/Feb 06 - We're next!

Am I the only one that would be disappointed if that was the only discount offered?

Probably not. I think the days of the 7 for 4 are over. The best we can hope for are discount packages, and maybe free dining, which is what everyone wants. i doubt we'll see free dining for this time frame. i think Disney's still trying to see if that was a good idea. The restaurants seemed to suffer because of it.

In my secret heart of hearts, I'm hoping for free dining. Luckily I somehow convinced DH to do it anyway! :)

It's funny someone above mentioned 11/3 for a start of package discount. I was told to call back on 11/3 for a room discount!! HMMMMM! I need room only!! :wizard: DH, princess: Me, :earsgirl:DD :earsgirl: DD :earsgirl: DD from Brazil

mainewmn,

I think for a while atleast, the only discounts that you will see are AAA and BRP with an occational package discount.

Well, count me in hoping for a room-only code. We already have our MYW tickets so a pkg isn't much use - although free dining would be tempting. Fingers crossed for a nice little discount. :teeth:

This is the rumor---

January-March Magic Your Way Package Special
Coming Soon: a special offer on Magic Your Way packages will be offered for check-ins January 1-March 8, 2006. The special packages will include FREE Park Hopper and Water Parks & More features on your tickets (a value of $80 plus tax per person). I don't have details yet on whether the packages will be discounted in any other way, though the sample rates that have been floated suggest some type of discounting. Booking dates will be 11/3/05-12/18/05. Check back here on November 3 for full booking details. ( This is from mousesavers)

This will save us at least $240.00 on the hoppers alone!!!! I'm happy, happy, happy!!!!!

I would venture to say there will be a discount off of the room. I could be wrong, but I honestly don't believe that giving people a free hopper option on their tickets is going to entice anyone to take a trip that wasn't already planned.

oh, i so hope it's not a hopper/water park perk 'cause we're doing a four day mini-trip and are not planning on hopping or water parking (esp in JANUARY! it can get COLD there in january... not prime water park season! LOL!)... i reallllllllllllly want free dining!

That's a very good point - Didn't even think of that. No interest in waterparks for me either in February.

Yeah - There's gotta be a room discount as well.

My thoughts:
For a Jan trip: If it does include the water park option/hopping (which sounds like this deal will):

Upgrade to a 10 day MYW non -expire ticket for next trip, an extra $114 for kids, $116 for adults.
This Jan. trip if I use 7 park days, then I will have 3 park days plus 5 water park days for next trip. And just make sure I go when it is suitable water park weather. Like maybe during October and do MNNSHP (therefore, one extra half park day for the party).
Therefore, next trip won't have to buy any tickets (except the Halloween party tickets).
Does this make any sense?

I think (and hope) it's going to be very similar to the current pin code going around for the same time.

I don't recall there ever being a promotion without a discount at a Disney Resort.

honestly, i hope it is that because my friend and i might be going for 7 days but we cant afford any tickets but a 4 day base and we would just spend a whole day at each park. so if we could get park hopping for free... god thatd be awesome! Because then on the day we'd go to AK we could go to a park that night. so for me personally, itd be great.

I"m hoping for more of a discount as well. As my earlier post stated I'd be saving $240.00 based on the amount on mousesavers, which I didn't read clearly, I was WRONG........... we didn't book the water park portion to the hoppers, so we'll actually only be saving about $85.00, which is better than nothing, but I agree with boomhauer, that really isn't enough to make someone plan a trip, if they weren't going already.

I mean every little bit helps, but, I'm waiting and hoping it's more!!!!

I just posted this in the resort section but I think I should have checked here first, Oh well, sorry about that:

I would like to start this thread for any type of resort discounts offered that would be effective for the months of January and February. Looking specifically for February 15 – February 20, 2006 but would be interested in anything for January also. I found by checking a similar thread similar to this that we saves some money this past year.

Thanks everyone!

Jan/Feb 2006 people - we're finally next in line for discounts! :cool1: Anyone else anxiously waiting for the next batch of codes? I'm hoping that since it's "value" season, some great package or room-only deals will be released.

So how long do you think we'll have to wait? Any guesses on what kind of specials are going to be released? I'll take just about anything at this point! :flower:

I am also planning our WDW trip - 2/2 - 2/12. Already booked for the CBR with MYW tickets. I didn't have any special codes, etc. so I am also anxiously awaiting any special discounts. DH and I went in 1996 so it's been awhile. This will be DD's 1st trip - she'll be celebrating her 5th birthday during the trip (2/7). She is soooooo excited. :earsgirl:

Hi kathyh, welcome to the DIS! :sunny: I justed wanted to say that 5 is such a great age to take your child to WDW. My DD was 6 when she first went and it was so great because she still believed the characters were real. She had the most wonderful interactions with both Belle and Snow White, magical. She still really enjoys the Princesses (she's 13) but nothing quite matches that first trip! :cloud9:
