You know, I wonder if this can be right about the crowd level, a lot of schools have their vacations until January 9th (we used to have our christmas vacation the 17th of December until Jan.2 but it has been changed this year along with a lot of other schools in our area) I'm tempted to go at this time, but not sure yet. Anyone else have a school vacation change this year ??

Our school district (plus a lot of Ontario) does not go back until Jan 9th this year. We already had a FL trip planned for Dec 17-Dec 31 based on last years holiday schd. But due to not going back until Jan 9, we have added a week (Dec 31 - Jan 8) at Disney. IMHO, crowd levels will be higher then usual for the first week of January. But hopefully, I am wrong. I also don't know if any discounts will be offered for the first week of January due to school going back late plus Marathon weekend.

NY Schools are only out from 12/23 to 1/2... very short break this year compared to past years...

All Wisconsin schools go back Jan. 2, or 3rd so no snowbirds unless parents pulling kids out of school.

We live in SC. Christmas breaks vary by school district, but are generally about the same. Our break this year is December 22 to January 10. Yes that's right ... January 10. But keep in mind that our school started August 9!
We're booked at POFQ January 1 thru 8 and hoping for decent weather.

This is our 1st trip to Disney with our children. Going Feb 13-21, 8 nights, I've read up alot and it was worth my while to get an AP, I got a much better rate than AAA and now will also get DDE to save on food. Depending on the lenght of your stay it may be owrth it

many colleges are off in january atleast in the northeast. thats why my friend and i are going. he doesnt go back until the 17th, i dont go back until the 27th!
