Jan 3, 2004 Magic Cruise

Is everyone else not seeing the countdowns in the last 4 posts that have included them? I saw this at work today when I posted my previous and now at home I see the same thing.

If it continues, I guess I'll have to check with the Forum moderator.

I think they're back on now. They weren't showing up on this thread.. but I could see the countdown on other threads... I like to see how close we are to leaving!!

Hi Jeanny, Just checked back to page 8 of the thread and the last 4 still don't show the countdown. The others on the page do have the information in the countdown box.

So far page 9 is OK.

jolly tammy, I don't think that it is too early to make the non-Disney shore ressies. I just reserved Capt Marvin's. They sent a reply the next day. They seemed very nice.

On a related note, does anyone know when the shops in Grand Cayman open? Trying to line out our options for the rest of the day there. Has any one seen the blow holes there-- are they worth getting a cab to see?

I don't think that we will book any Disney excursions. We will wander Key West. The must dos for us there include Hemingway's house, the Southernmost Point, and Key Lime Pie. very touristy.

In Cozumel, we are totally open. We are considering Chankanaab on our own and shopping. We probably won't decide til the last minute! I would love to see the Tulum ruins, but my hubbie and girls decided that that would be too much travel time ... Maybe next trip.

Also, another stupid question.... I have been gathering silly little things for the girls (20 and 18) stockings since Santa won't bring anything to adults! I was thinking it would be fun to put a few pesos in the stockings, but when I checked with our bank they said that they would have to order foreign currency and the smallest bill would be the equivalent of a $20 and they would charge me $10 to do that!! Anybody have any other ideas?
Kathy

Kathy,

We are also looking at booking Capt. Marvin's. Key West - deep sea fishing. Cozumel - maybe Mr. Sancho's.

What about getting some Disney Dollars for the stockings?

right there in TEXAS where I got my money for my trip to Africa, they only charged me $20 for $1000 in African money.

I don't remember the name I looked them up on MSN search under curriency exchange.

Do you think the boat will be light with passengers this week? I know WDW parks are light attendence wise that week.

Hello everyone! looks like we will be joining ya'll for the Jan 3 cruise!:Pinkbounc We where orig. going on the Jan 31 but a few things came up and we ended up changing dates.

princess:

Hope to meet and talk to you all soon!!

So excited to open the mailbox this afternoon to find the Shore Excursions Guide from Disney today. For one wild moment, I couldn't imagine what the cruise line would be sending me but our documents!!!

Even though we weren't planning on booking the Disney excursions, I am having fun just flipping thru the brochure. Who knows, maybe they will talk us into one!

Hope everyone else got theirs today too!
Kathy

princessdaisy

I am glad to see you joining us. My DGD is 11 also. Maybe they can get together and have a good time.

From the previous posts, looks like your DS will have some company also.

67 days to go

Anyone doing Capt Marvin's snorkel trip? If so, which one?

MarkLem,

We are planning on using Capt. Marvin for the snorkel tour. It will be me, DH, DFIL, DMIL, DDalmost11, DS9. Sandiedvc also mentioned she is going on this tour. I'm not sure what time we will pick yet but I am leaning towards the half-day at 10am.

:bounce: LV Travel, thanks for the welcome! My ds (11) is so excited about the cruise but also a little worried that she won't find too many friends her age to "hang out" with! lol! I am sure would love to meet your daughter.

We are paid in Full! and can't wait to go!! Hurry Jan 3rd!

Is anyone staying in a hotel at MCO the day before cruise? we will be arriving on the 2nd and still need to find a place to stay. Any advice? we also need transportation.

Take care!:wave2:

Welcome onboard princessdaisy!!

We have a DD2 who might be a potential play mate for your DS2. We're also flying into Orlando on January 1 and staying for 2 nights at the Marriott Residence Inn at Seaworld...thought we'd show our DD2 some marine life since there's not a whole lot of that out here in Wisconsin. We thought we would give ourselves 2 days to get down to MCO just in case the weather doesn't cooperate!!

We booked a van with Cartier Town Car for all our transfers since we're bringing my parents as well.

We're so excited since it'll be our first cruise!!
