That is so nice of you to offer! We are actually flying in from San Diego the day before the cruise but will most likely stay somewhere near the airport...we are planning on staying at Disney resorts for a few nights after the cruise.

I noticed your post is from Ventura, CA! I grew up in the LA area and used to visit friends in Ventura all the time..great city!

princessdaisy, sorry for the slow posts but I have been out of town and away from my computer since Monday (just slight time online the first part of the week.)

I am sure that my granddaughter (not daughter) will love to find a person the same age to hang with.

If you read the previous pages of the thread you will see what we are doing upon arrival in Orlando on the 2nd of Jan. (the day before the cruise) and the transportation arrangements we have made.

Hi princessdaisy....we are also flying in the night before from Seattle. We will be staying at the Hyatt Airport Hotel and catch the Disney Bus from there. As with you we will be staying until the 14th and doing WDW. We are staying at our favorite, Caribbean Beach Resort. I am so happy Alaska Airlines is doing the direct-nonstop flights from Seattle to Orlando now. That way you don't have to worry about missing a connection.

Actually I got this cruise mixed up with my Dec 4th. Cruise. lol
too many cruises to keep track of.

I flying in at 530am on the morning of Jan 3rd, I have also rented a car for that day too, to drop off at the port. I was planning on going by to see Shirley from the perfect gift and then see the manatees before hitting the ship, but the offer still stands, only if you want to be up and ready to go at the crack of dawn.
Or maybe I'll come by your room and crash on your floor before hand for a few hours .

Hopefully the red-eye will be empty and I can sleep all the way.

Dianedisney- We are arriving around 8:30 and I might check into the Hyatt...are they offering good rates by anychance? might be move convienent since we are traveling with a 22 month old. We are also staying a few days after cruise..at my husband's fav. resort AKL.

Wow! the red eye We will hopefully be leaving around 10:30 to Port Canaveral but you can come by and take a rest at our hotel anytime! if you don't mind changing the baby's diaper! LOL! just kidding!! Looking forward to meeting all you fun people!

That's a tough one, I'm getting soooo excited about the cruise .

I leave Thanksgiving for 2 weeks at WDW and a 3 day Wonder then I go home and leave again 3 weeks 3 days later for the 7 day Magic. That will make going back to work after the 1t trip not so bad, knowing I will be right back.

Carolyn, will you adopt me so that I can use the Florida cruise rates? Us poor people who have to live "up North" suffer all winter and have to pay these high prices just to have a little sun and warmth. Those fortunate to live in Fla. get the warmth and sun all year long and cheaper rates for the cruises. Boo Hoo Hoo.

LVTravel, I'll be happy to adopt you!!!! That was one of the big bonus' about moving to Florida from Long Island alittle over 4 years ago, we were closer to Disney! I'm sure that my husband would love if I wasn't so addicted to the disney cruise line, but I can't help myself.
I haven't read the whole thread since we just made the final decision to take this cruise and not the 4 night one, any meets planned?

no meets planned as of yet, but we still have plenty of time...

How about if we plan on Sunday morning?? Saturday may be too crazy, maybe we can meet up on deck 9 after breakfast/brunch==before we dock at Key West? How's that sound for a beginning thought any way??

I like your idea about a Sunday meet! Does anyone have any ideas about putting together a database of DIS children sailing? I will have DS9 and DD10 (1 month shy of 11). My kids would love to email any others interested that are excited about the upcoming cruise.

Rachael, in re-reading your post from the 31st, you sure are racking up those frequent flyer miles. I guess you can't make it a 7 week vacation huh? I would hate to have to "double back" on the flights like that.

Jeanny, I agree with the Sunday morning meet on Deck 9. Will someone bang on my door to wake me up though, I wouldn't want to miss it. As they say, opposites attract. I'm a night person while the DW is a morning person.

If you will email first and last name, age, cabin & email address (if you want to receive emails from others directly), I will hold all information until the meet on the day after sailing. It will not be posted on a web site. If you want a completed copy for emailing back and forth specify in your email.

Brack We haven't heard from you for a while. Hope everything is OK. How's the eyes after the workout the doctor gave them?

I believe we arrived into the Orlando Airport about 4:30pm but not sure will have to check out my ticket for exact time. I bought these tickets when they had a cheap price and that was in July. Haven't really looked at the tickets sense then, they are at the travel agency, plus I think I have had a schedule change or two. But I am pretty sure the time is very close. We ought to try to meet for some wine or something if you don't have "jet-lag" too bad . Once we get checked into the hotel and straighten out our clothes we head across the way to the Disney Store at the airport. Nothing like having Disney on the Brain . I will be traveling with my Disney Mother in Law who is my "partner in crime" when it comes to Disney anything. My husband and family just don't get it so I drag my DMiL around with me. Better run for now.....if we don't meet up at the hotel we will have to all get together on the ship somehow. Here's hoping the time flies by, see you soon "matey".
