UPS just came, it's time for the "Document Dance"
:cool1:

My wife is an art teacher I hope I can convince her to make an extender.:rolleyes1

We are driving down from NC on Wednesday so we can start really early :yay:
Is anyone else coming in to the port the night before?

Hopefully this will work...

As for jobs, my wife and I both work as admin assistants for the Dept. of Mental Health in Massachusetts for 14 years. That's where I met her. I'm also an army reservist...

ok I dont know my room number yet LOL I dont have docs
also what a fish extender and I wanna play to

Kelly,
you should be able to go online now on the DCL website and type in your reservation number and get your room number. Most guarantee rooms should even be listed by now. You might want to check it out. If not it will be in your docs when they come.

If you dont want to make a regular fish extender just go to the dollar store or a party store where they have nice gift bags. Get one that is medium sized so the handle will go over the fish.
Draw your name on it if you want and decorate it with disney stickers or ribbons and such. There is no right or wrong to them. That is the fast way to do it.
I did post a photo of a more traditional fish extender a few posts back.
Be sure and let us know your room number as soon as you get it.

well if she wont make one, you can make one, right??? After she sees yours , it may convince her to make one to keep yours from being hung up for all to see:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We should be at the port right at 10 when it opens up.
I love to get there early and people watch, so if anyone arrives before the boarding starts look around for me in my shirt with my name in it . I will be there some where.

everyone who is doing externders remember to post your room numbers and then write down peoples room numbers if you plan on leaving them a surprize because you wont find them other wise.

We plan on doing a Fish Extender. I still am not doing my doc dance:sad1: But I have hope it will be here on Monday. I close on monday night and UPS usually comes in the morning. Oh it would be so excting to go to work with my documents sitting by my computer at home. It would really help with my internal count down. After the weekend I only have 1 day off before our cruise so I plan on packing this weekend. Oh won't that be exciting.:cheer2: I feel sort of guilty I am shipping my DS's off to Grandma's house Sat night because this is the first weekend I have had off since before Thanksgiving. My husband and I have only had 2 days off together since Thanksgiving I declared a date night and I really need to get caught up on some things around my house.
Thats one of the many reasons I am so excited for this cruise I really want to spend some fun time with my kids and my DH. We are off work for a total of 9 days. It will kill me to go back to work. Oh well at least it helps pay for wonderful vacations!!!

Morning all,
Sara, maybe your docs will come today, we get UPS delivery on saturday so I'm sure you will have it too. That would be better than Monday.
A date night sounds great:love: Every marriage needs one of those once in awhile, hope you have a wonderful evening.
Dont feel guilty sending DS to grandma, he will be having a blast getting spoiled all evening and grandma will love every minute of it.:cloud9: I know, I am a grandma and I love it when the grandkids can come over.

2 weeks from now we will be pulling into Castaway Cay and we will be getting ready to have an awesome day:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Catch everyone a bit later this morning,

Kathy

Kathy,
Do the fish extenders have to be a certain size? I don't want to make it too big, or small:confused3
Thanks for any help for this fish extender rookie:thumbsup2

mine is about 24 inches long and 6 to 8 inches wide which just fits the area it hangs from. You can make it a bit smaller but I wouldnt go larger.

I tried to make the pockets almost as wide as the extender just to make room for things like cards which are larger but for just goodies they dont have to be that wide.

the ribbon at the top or handle you will have needs to be long enough to fit over the fish. The fish is about 5 inches long and only 3 inches at its widest from top to bottom.

Hope that helps you. I only guessed when I did mine and it did work. If you want 2 pockets not three you can make it a bit shorter.

where is everyone today:confused:

Hope your all having a good day and I hope to hear from someone later today,

Kathy

I'm here:wave2: :wave2: My DS turned 6 :scared1: years old on the 10th, so we are having a party today. He is beyond excited. I am just puttering about the house trying to get things done...thinking about working on my fish extender, but I don't have any material. I feel like I must have something I could use!:wizard:

Anyhow, I'll be back late this afternoon and this evening during the Patriots game.

Tell Jake Happy Birthday!!

Hope you have a great time at his party. That means so much to the kids.
I only had one party growing up when I turned 13 and I still remember it.
Hope you take lots of pictures and will post a couple to show us:thumbsup2

Howdy everyone,
just thought I would stop by and say hello.
Greg and Randy have gone to a Whitmans / Russell Stovers candy distribution store we live near. Randy has never been there before. It has awesome buys all year around.
He has $25 on him, I bet he spends most of it on sugar free chocolate covered coconut patties, they are his favorite:dance3: I probably shouldnt of trusted those two to go alone:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am dog sitting. Randy has a 90 pound lab. I didnt dare leave all 3 dogs home alone, :rolleyes1
Of course all I have to do for his dog is to take down the child safety fence around the pool and he will swim until we make him come out. I've never seen a dog who loves the water as much as he does.
Once I watched him for Randy before we had our dogs and I had to be gone for a few minutes so we left Poncho outside in case he needed to "GO" before I got back.
When I returned I looked out back and he was just swimming laps around the pool. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He loves to jump in after balls and frisbees and such.

well I guess I will relax and watch the cooking network for a bit. They're making cookies today. I love to bake cookies!!!

Kathy

I told you guys I was a chatter box, but you guys really rallied for the cause and now look at us.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
