Gosh everyone is starting to post good again so i guess I wont get to post the rest of my fantastic jokes:lmao:

I will try to check back once more before bedtime and hopefully there will be a couple more posts here:goodvibes

Kathy

Occupations for us:

husband is a firefighter with a large county in Northern Virginia--he drives a ladder truck

I am unbelievably fortunate to be a stay at home Mom (former life I worked for a county library: bookmobile, nursing home visits, bks for people with difficulty seeing to read, etc.)

DS 10 year old 4th grade student

DD 8 yr old (in 3 days) 2nd grade student

I see we are still finding more and more cruisers!

Ok if you dont get your docs, go online to the DCL web sites and click on my reservatons and go from there to check in on line.
you will need to print off just 2 pages and they will need to be signed
contract and authorization to use your on board credit. Bring those with you to the terminal to check in with.
Once you go up the escalators at the terminal there are a few tables where people will check over your docs to make sure they are all there. Tell them you need a Bahamas form to fill out for each member of your family. explain you docs didnt arrive before you left. They have tojs of extra ones.

The only other thing you will need to do is when you pull up to drop off your luggage at the port ask the porters for luggage tags. explain your docs didnt arrive before you left. They have lots of extras. make sure they get the correct room number and name on them and your all set.

we have had to do this before when we booked a few days before the cruise, we didnt have time to receive all we needed either. You wont be the only one needing stuff.

kathy

Kathy, thank you so much! Its so nice to have someone so knowledgeable about DCL posting...its a big help.:yay:

Hi George and family,
godsh I'm glad you responded to the PM and decided to post some more.
I am a chatter box and i am an expert at nagging, just ask my husband:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is the best way to get people motivated of course threatening to post bad, dumb jokes helps too:lmao: I am good at that.

I know you asked about the shows, did you see my answer?
If your son like characters he will LOVE Disney Dreams and The Golden Mickeys. They have a ton of them, and dont worry about a young child making noise during the show. this is Disney and it is expected:thumbsup2 Anyone who cant deal with that is on the wrong cruise:rotfl:

Happy to hear your going to make it to the meet. So far everyone seem to want to be there, so hopefully we will have a good size meet.;)
I promise not to talk your ears off:flower3:

well at least I will try not to:rolleyes1

catch everyone in the morning. It is almost my bedtime. I am an early riser so I also turn in by 9 to 9:30. But not on the ship. I will be everywhere all 3 days looking to see what kind of trouble i can get into:upsidedow

George
I for got to say you'll love the aquarium at Atlantis.
The tour does move fast but after wards you can go back through at your own speed, just leave your wrist band on as proof you paid admission.

If you have a stroller for DS make it an umbrella type or at least one that is light or folds easily. Unless they have changed it part of the outside part of the tour has some steps. Not too many but you dont want to pull a stroller up them, you will want to fold and carry it.

The windows in the aquarium are almost floor to ceiling so it will be easy for your son to see everything without you holding him up high, it is great for kids.

If you think he will need a snack I would bring it with you because the prices of food and snacks at Atlantis is very expensive!! Worse than at Disney World even!! Just remember if he doesnt eat it throw it away before re-boarding the ship because it is illegal to bering opened food back on the ship even if it came off the ship.

only sealed packages from the stores are allowed and only if they are not opened.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 2050 Condition: 5
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Mid
Sail Date: 11/15/07
Notes: Room was very convenient. Small amt. of noise due to being right under Guest Services at night. Nothing to any great extent. Large porthole window to see everything. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 child
