Jan 2009 Code Watch

There is a new post on the resort board that flickwizard just posted - sounds like tomorrow morning a GP code will be out.

Also, there's a new option at the top of the Disney HP for Special Offers - up by the Tickets & Reservations.

My biggest pet peeve is people who decide to be the morality police in a thread where I am trying to get information and I have to wade through 3 pages of lectures but that didn't stop you from posting just like you aren't going to stop her from making 2 reservations. It happens, people pool hop, tell Disney their kid is 2 and not 3, share a photopass and reuse their refillable mugs and no lecture from the DIS is going to change their minds.

People didn't just decide to be the morality police. They were responding directly to a question that a PP asked. She was considering booking two ressies and cancelling one later. As you can see, our discussion helped her to decide NOT to do that. So, it's not about lecturing but about providing people with accurate information.

can someone link me to the best page on mousesavers to find the code, when it comes out? I find the site a bit confusing, and am not sure where they're going to post it...thank you!

I just got my Poly nights!!! Yay! I saved $204.76!!! Yay! And with yesterday's savings at CSR of $135.03, that's a total savings of $339.79

Good luck to everyone else...

You know Tinkbyday you obviously have the $ to stay at the finest resorts on property. I have never even stayed on property and being able to save every little bit is very important to my family. It determines what we get to do and what we don't (Value resort). I'm not canceling my rooms and I'll bet you there are a bunch of others out here that just aren't saying anything.

I agree that there are many others who are doing this as well.... and I did cancel mine within an hour of booking.... because my TA was able to get me the code...

Tinkbyday....I am a very frequent traveler to WDW with well over 25 trips... and always willing to share advice and help someone to make their trip the best experience it could be...I have helped friends and family plan trips..... I may sit here and see some things that I roll my eyes at but to think you have the right to pass judgement on other people ...well that is just a little wrong... WOW.... I am really sorry I had to say that.... because I think that sometimes these board get so petty.... I think most people are good people and they do what is right.... maybe you shouldn't be so quick to pass judgement not knowing indivudual circumstances....

OK, can we now can the discussion of multiple bookings (or take it to a new thread the way the nice North Carolinians did) and get back to the matter at hand??

I WANT A CODE!!!!

Whew. We now return you to your regularly scheduled tantrum. :happytv:

but you don't get 20% the DP just because your an AP holder. .

Thank you, that answers my question. I know the diff between DDE (now TIW) and DDP. I just thought I read an AP-er's post that booked a package, and that they also recieved 20% of the DDP. It must have been a code or something else. I have contemplated getting an Annual pass, but for a 5 night stay, it's a wash. If I also got 20% of the DDP, then it would be worth it for us. I figured out what it would cost OOP with the TIW @ 20% off, and we'd get more bang for our buck with the DDP. I'm starting to get discouraged that there will be no code for us, as our dates are Jan 22-27, and we are locked in:headache:. I wish I hadn't planned so far ahead by buying airfare, but I did. Would have planned to go this fall if we had known then about free dinning, I guess we will all know in the next few days, if us January Dis-ers will get a break.

Can I ask why you are picking on Tinkbyday when there were several others of us who basically said the same thing she did? And again, it's not about passing judgement, it's about directly answering a question that a PP asked. That answer included the official rule that Disney has made: Multiple reservations are not to be made for the same travel dates by the same person. I won't lose sleep if you break it but it is the rule and that's what the PP asked about.

Back to the edge-of-your-seat suspense of code watching. :goodvibes

Yes, he looks handsome! But my english bulldog & shihtzu are pretty darn good lookin too!!!!!:rotfl: (Anything to kill some time waiting for a code huh!)

Ok I did it - I started off with an offsite villa rental and Undercover tourist tickets..... now that I've become addicted to reading DIS.... I had recently switched from offsite to two-rooms at Pop.

Well, today I returned the UCT tickets, phoned and switched my reservations to a MYW package with dining.....

And now.... I WANT A CODE!!!!!!!!!!! Preferably a room discount or free dining (lol!) but I'd even take park hoppers!!!! I just want something for the general public!!!! Bring it on!!!!!!!!

P.S. - now that we've agreed upon the $$$ - if a room code or free dining comes out I may even try and switch resorts.... ;)

What about the Florida residents! I hope the Contemporary has the Florida residents special!
