Jan 2009 Code Watch

If you are in your 45 day window though, I don't think they will issue refunds.

Yes they will.

However, they will charge you a $50 change fee once you are inside 45 days. So if after the discount is applied, you are owed say $500, they will only refund you $450.

Oh for the love of Mickey Mouse! Please let me get a code!!!! Or let some discounts come out!!! I just want to book this. I want to have something to look forward to!!
I am waiting and waiting and waiting.popcorn::

Somebody save me 55 pages of reading...last year's discount was park hopper upgrades and room discount, right? Does anyone know what % the room discount was? 10%? 15%? More?

Last year I paid in full when I booked in August w/ my Disney Visa Card. When I applied the code, they just credited the difference to my credit card.

Do you mind if I ask - what are the dates?

We are going from January 12th - 16th. However, the particular code that I received is good for all of the following dates.

Jan. 4–Jan. 15, 2009
Jan. 25–Feb. 12, 2009
Mar. 1–Mar. 14, 2009
May 31–Jun. 6, 2009
Aug. 23–Oct. 3, 2009
Oct. 25–Oct. 31, 2009
Nov. 15–Nov. 21, 2009
Nov. 29–Dec. 5, 2009
Dec. 13–Dec. 24, 2009

Gotcha! Thanks for explaining how it works.

Speaking of changes, (and this might be a silly question), will they charge me the $50 fee if I ADD someone to my package? In other words, is the fee for any change or just if you apply a discount?

Nope. If you are within 45 days of travel and you UPgrade your package (add a person, upgrade park ticket etc.) there is no change fee.

If however, you DOWNgrade your package (apply a discount, go from park hopper to base ticket etc.) you will be charged $50 before the refund.

Usually, I believe, they don't charge you to upgrade your package. In other words, if you are spending more money it is ok. If you are taking away something is only time they charge a fee.

Just a question -- So this code is just for Candians, right?? How long after until they usually offer the Disney Visa or Public codes??

Our trip is Jan 9 - 16. Would I be able to use the code since the one offered now is until the 15th?

Melinda

Sorry, but am I missing something? Is there a code for Canadians for January 2009? And if so, what is it?

Thank you

I belive that some Canadian's have been selected to receive a PIN code, and of course this is totally random! I have not received one either, but I am hoping for a code, ( or a Pin) waiting along with you all!

From previous post in this thread and some other threads , I assumed that there was a code released.

No, there has not been a Canadian code released or any other public code as far as I know.

Sorry. I thought I had explained clearly that I had received an e-mail PIN.

Hi piglet (that's funny to type),
There is not a public code out right now, as you may have figured out. That is from an email one Canadian got with a PIN code. Someone was just asking the dates from the eamil. Kind of disappointing! We are all on pins and needles waiting to hear!

Is anyone else spending way too much time thinking about this...

btw, I got a pin, and it dosen't cover 2 of the days I'm on vacation. Do I have to book two seprate reservations? (using the DDP) or can it just apply for 8 out of the 10 nights on my reservation?

Sorry, I am sure you had made it clear. I am new to this code thing and would love to get some type of discount or free dining for our trip.
