The market place has all kind of neat things. I didnt see jewelery but I am sure they have some there. The place is really big and has alot of authentic things from Africa. My nephew bought one of those surfer neclaces with the beads so I know they do have some stuff there. I have a toddler so the my pal mickey was a hit along with some cool t-shirst for mom with AKL embroidered on them not the iron on type. We also bought some African wine and had it shipped home. I am sure you will love the place. I spent way to many hours in there.koobs said:Okay, I'm starting to get a complex here.My questions seem to get passed by or lost in the shuffle but that's okay. I'll try try again with another one...
I've heard Zawadi Marketplace is really good. What kind of things can you buy there? Is there anything a 16 year old girl would like? Any interesting African jewelry? My daughter likes wearing jewelry. Anything else that you would consider a must have?
Only 75 more days to go!!![]()

No fair! That post wasn't up when I asked you about your pictures!wendypooh said:SOOOOOOOOOOO That tells me you didn't READ my trip report!!!!! LOL
I'm only kidding, it was the Mickey's Magical Milestones tour. I give more details about it in the report. But, it's 2 hours, $25 per person, basically it tells you about how Walt & Mickey got their start!!
The wine might not be appropriate for her but I sure would like it.....MY personal fave is the African wine (I suppose that THAT'S not appropriate for a 16-y-o, tho'.... ! ) They have some really great carved statues - I like the giraffes...mebbe she can redcorate her room - perhaps with an 'African theme'.....there are so many 'hand-made' items [just too many to mention] but I do believe that there is a selection of jewelry...
That's sound like a great idea too, Wendypooh. I might even like to do that one myself! Thanks.Koobs -- Kimmar is right, there is a jewelry section. There is also a lot of art, paintings, statues, carvings, etc.... ect.... One thing I did that was great your DD might like, the pick a pearl. In Japan at Epcot you pick a pearl and can have it put into a setting, necklace, earrings, ring, you decide. My DS picked my pearl and I had it set in a silver setting for a necklace. I'll post the pics later, but that may be something she'd enjoy!
That all sounds great! I'm trying to convince her that this trip will be different from our other two and it won't be the same old same old. I'm sure she's going to love shopping there. (She's 16, she's going to love shopping anywhereThe market place has all kind of neat things. I didnt see jewelery but I am sure they have some there. My mom and sister loved the flowers, bags, and gift basket from Peggy. I will post some flower pics here one of these days as well. I highly reccomend the Disney Florist. The flowers lasted the entire trip...I felt guilty leaving them behind.
Wendy were you on the Dining Plan? We were and it was so much food I couldn't believe it!
