If any fans are going in early August, you could do this... downtown disney Jake/Sharkey/Bones

Wondering if there is word on this being extended to September? We will arrive Sep 9 staying to 14th -- daughter would LOVE this!!!

Also, anyone been on the Pirate and Pals fireworks cruise? We booked for our first night, hoping that this would secure an evasive meeting with Captain Hook (my daughter's favourite character).

Thanks for input and opinions!!!

I hope so too. We arrive August 19th so we are just a little too late. :sad2:

I already have a breakfast ADR booked for December for H and V and have finally been able to book Pirates and Pals, but would love Izzy to appear! My DD would be so happy :goodvibes

And the neverland pirates band - why can't they still be there in December!!

Claire :)

My son LOVES Jake and the neverland pirates when the show or song comes on he gets so happy! He's 20 mo and doesn't talk much but he sings "and me" when he sees them. I really hope its true!!

I hope they do this! I have no kids, but I am at the age where many friends have young kids that I go to Disney with. Even though they LOVE Disney junior, their moms and I just can't justify the character meal for them when they are still young and we wouldn't be too interested in the characters. But if Captain Hook and Smee where there, would be much more justifiable! Disney likes to be as cross generation as possible, and I can't think of a better way to do that than a Jake and the Neverland Pirates/Peter Pan crossover meal!

I have a very girly daughter, but everything listed as "boy" things also appeals to her very much. I think aside from the two Princess meals, everything else is pretty gender neutral. H&V has 3/4 boy-centric characters as it is, the only exception being June, but she loved it (and Jake kissed her six times, which helped with that, ha). Crystal Palace is Pooh, which is gender-neutral, same with Tusker House and the Donald and friends safari characters. A Toy Story meal is not, in my mind, a boy thing, but another gender neutral thing.

As long as it is acceptable for girls to be into boy stuff like pirates but not as acceptable for the other way around, it's going to seem like there are gender neutral things and girl things, but not a ton of boy things. That isn't Disney's issue, but a societal issue. And as someone already mentioned, there are a lot of "boy" rides (that girls totally love), but I can't really think of any girly rides, so while character dining may lean slighty toward more girl appeal due to the princess meals, the parks as a whole do not, in my opinion.

For those wanting to see Capt Hook, Smee and Peter Pan, they are available now on the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise. You have to book via WDW-PLAY. Although it's not a chararcter meal per se, they do have snack food and the meet-n-greet. It leaves from the CR and is an extra cost, but so is a meal. I found it's not marketed much, which I don't get, but it fills up.

OMG i need to rearrange my ADR's Jake is a must. Does anybody know if Izzy and/or Cubby are also there?

The current characters appearing at Holywood & Vine at DHS at Jake, Oso, Handy Manny, and June (Little Einsteins). They appear for breakfast and lunch and have so since October 2011.

This thread is about a rumor of a possible change in the future that would bring in other characters from Jake and the Neverland Pirates to make this meal a Jake and the Neverland Pirates meal instead of the current Disney Junior Play n' Dine.

If you have little kids who enjoy Disney Junior, this meal is a must. It is a great time and they get to get up and dance with the characters. They play songs from the Disney Junior shows and interact with the kids about every 20 minutes.

We'll be going no matter what, but my daughter is a huge Izzy fan.:cheer2:

Izzy is not appearing there....yet... maybe sometime in the future.

According to some posters here, there is no Izzy costume in existance yet and one is not currently in development, so it would be a while before a possible Izzy sighting at the parks.

One of my favorite character interactions was doing the Limbo with Hook:
