Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

I'm on my phone right now, so I'm not commenting on you updates. Lol on the edited pics from Randy...I don't remember receiving any of those snazzy pics from him either when we 1st got them. I sent him an email asking if we were going to get a website posting, because I wanted to send the link to Tanis. He sent me an email back saying that he had been super busy (which we all understand), and he would get that done as soon as possible. I can't remember how many he edited in all, but he posted them to his blog and sent another disk with those images on it. Hope that helps. Sorry if any of this is running together..you know how the phone is. <3

My sweet Jackie - Loving all the newly posted pics!!! It really was a glorious wedding!!! So sorry you became another victim of the bad service sometimes delivered by DPS. I am glad you were more than happy with Regina though!!
Sorry that you found some fault with Randy. I cannot understand the editing thing at all!! We got plenty of photos edited (and copies of any edited photos in their unedited form), and a sneak peek posted on his blog. We didn't ask for, or pay extra for any of these things. I did tell Randy to take his time with our photos, and didn't rush him at all (not that I think you did), but I think it all depends how much time he feels he has to work on the photos. I have heard him say that sometimes he feels under great pressure to get photos out to brides. Maybe his editing all depends on how busy things are for him. This is no excuse, of course, and he should maybe firm up with brides what they want, maybe explaining that if they want their photos quickly, less editing may get done.
I loved having so many shots to choose from (even the bad ones - which gave us a bit of a laugh) and I am glad Randy sends all of them. I believe that sometimes, what a photographer thinks is a bad shot, would actually be one you would treasure, so I am glad I got to make my own decisions about this. I agree, though it is exhausting going through them all (nice exhausting though!!)

Yeah, I guess it must be luck of the draw or something? I don't know! I didn't mention anything about wanting my pictures very quickly or anything. Maybe a passing "can't wait to see them!"--- but I am sure every bride says that, no?! Oh well.

And I think I wish there was a happy medium: somewhere between everrrryyy single shot and only the good ones. I don't know what that would be though!

I'm so sorry to hear that you paid for 7 hours and didn't get edited pictures. I know everyone raves about Randy but this turns me off entirely.

Regardless, you did get some gorgeous pictures and that's all that matters in the end!

Right! I mean, I still LOVE all of my pictures: I just would have been happy with, say, 10 enhanced shots or so. I don't think that's much to ask.

I got a little behind somehow, all caught up now!

-Both of your cakes are incredible. Brandon and I were both LOSTies. I told him you had a Dharma Initiative groom’s cake, and he acted like I had betrayed him by not suggesting the idea to him.

-I love the picture of you and your dad on the couch. Maybe it’s because you two are relaxed, but it just looks so genuine. (Well, the first picture—that second one could be a Godfather poster. Wedding or not, you’ve got some hits to plan…)

-Cute picture with the enchanted rose. Glad I’m not the only one that was super into my props ;)

-Woah, what was with your DPS photographer? That is beyond inappropriate. He really doesn’t need to be talking about his personal life. If he couldn’t resist, how about “You like Disney princesses? My girlfriend likes them too.” There. And no profanity. I think most people feel that if you curse at work, you get fired. (I hope you reported his behavior in your feedback survery.) I hate reading stories like this. I had such an amazing experience with DPS that I want to recommend them to others, but I just can’t in good conscience. There’s too great a risk you might end up with a bizarre man that takes just okay pictures. They should keep Regina, Amy, and Stephanie and clean out the rest. That boys club they have always seems to disappoint.

-No editing on your Randy pics? From what I've seen from other brides, I thought that was his calling card. I love some of ours where the colors or lighting has been manipulated, they make beautiful art pieces. Maybe you could talk to him about having some editing done?

-I’m so excited to read about the honeymoon! :yay:

Oh I had no idea you were a LOSTie! That makes me <3 you even more. What did you think of the finale, if you don't mind me asking?

LOL! I am sure if my dad and I had been planning a hit, it would have been against my mother. :lmao:

And I agree: DPS is just SO hit or miss. I did wonder if perhaps I offended him by squealing with delight once I found out I had Regina? Either way, he was a bit too casual for my liking. And I actually totally forgot to send back that survey: gah!

I'm probably going to be the only cuckoo one here, but I've never been a fan of Randy's editing choices. :confused3 I think some of them take away from the beauty and overall quality of the picture. He does have a great eye for composition, though.

I am in love with your pictures and wouldn't have ever known they were from Randy, because he gave them to you in a clean and pure style.

However, since you paid him a service to take photos and edit them--that's what you should have gotten, which is really upsetting to hear.

I know you said that Chris could play around with them, but if you ever want any additional tweaking, I'd be happy to help! ;)

Actually... I'm not gonna lie, Danielle, I kind of agree with you about Randy's editing/enhancements. BUT, sometimes they're so pretty: like the one Joanne has up there in her siggie. And thank you so much for your offer: I might take you up on that. :)

OH! I had a question. Where are you getting the window clingy materials for your kissing pictures? I kinda sorta wanna steal your idea.

I'm on my phone right now, so I'm not commenting on you updates. Lol on the edited pics from Randy...I don't remember receiving any of those snazzy pics from him either when we 1st got them. You haven't commented in FOREVER, Jennifer. I'm kinda sorta thinking you don't love me anymore. :rolleyes1 And good to know about the website posting! I am going to ask him about that at some point!

All right, just a few notes before I start the Trip Report:

*First, I totally forgot to give Beaute Speciale a review! I had both Jessicas, and they were both sweet and lovely. My hair and makeup was fabulous, although I was a little annoyed that my eye makeup ran a bit. I'm over it though. I still love them, and I wish they could do my makeup every day. (Jessica even gave me a little makeup lesson on my second appointment! So cute!)

* I hope I didn't offend anyone with my Randy review: I was really just trying to be honest!

*Today, I got a check from my bank. Apparently, my other grandfather (my mom's dad, the ones I talk about all the time are my dad's parents) closed the account that the check he gave me for my wedding was drawn out from. I can only assume he did this so I couldn't get to the money. Thankfully, I haven't spent that $500 yet, but I did get walloped with a $19 fee because of it.

*I've been sort of dreading writing about this day, but I need to. I wrote a companion piece in my blog today: if you want to hear about the sad side of the story, please check it out. If not, well, that's why I put it in the blog!

Honeymoon, Day 1, Part 1

We woke up early because we had to pack all of our stuff, as we were switching from BCV to GF for one night. And, well, after the wedding (and Becky actually brought me a ton of presents too because she loves me!), we had SO much stuff. We actually made my Gaga help us carry it down to Bell Services; there was just too much. We also had to hustle, as we had a 9:55 reservation at Chef Mickey's. We met up with my dad, and we shared a cab over. (I was a nice daughter though and paid for the cab. My dad, however, referred to it as a "$10,000 cab ride.")

We were really early to CM because we anticipated everyone else would be late, but Becky, her mom, and her friend who is a CM were already there! Becky is really good at being early. :goodvibes Chris's family sent him a text that they weren't going to come, which sort of annoyed me on behalf of Chris, as we didn't know when he would get to see them again. Oh well, their loss!

And then, we started The Wait. And Wait. And Wait. Our reservation was for 9:55, but the groomsmen decided not to leave Pop Century until 9:40 or so, and there were many traffic problems because of a little thing called the Half Marathon. All of our other guests were there, but Disney told us we had to wait for everyone to be present before we could be seated. I kept telling people this, but people kept saying things like "When are we going to be seated?!" "What's the point of making a reservation if you have to wait for an hour and a half?!?!" etc etc. I was SUPER stressed, tired, and annoyed and I just wanted my family to go away!!! After James and Luis finally showed up, we had to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes or so before we had a table because our party was so big. Sigh. We didn't get in until after 11!

We had three different tables or so for our party of 16, and Chris and I sat with the groomsmen and my MOH and her BF--- it was nice just being able to spend some time with them. The food was excellent, as usual, but the character interaction was just so-so.

I am also a terrible DisBride, and forgot to take pictures! (Or maybe I was just too tired to take any.) Thankfully, my grandparents took some: and these are total grandparent pics.

Mom and dad, do you REALLY need to be taking pictures right now?

The character interaction at CMs was really just so-so, or it is also highly possible that I was way too spoiled by my interaction at the wedding.

LOL I just realized we all have our thumbs up!

During the little celebration, they brought over cupcakes for Chris and me, complete with unlit candles. Naturally, we had to try and blow them out anyway.

It was sometime during this that I told one of my Classic Jackie Jokes. I love corny jokes. Like, LOVE them. And I come up with corny jokes all of the time, and then I laugh at them when no one else does. I am pretty much a Jungle Skipper, set loose into the real world. Thankfully, Richelle the MOH is the same way! So, Richelle started telling this story. She mis-spoke, and said "I went into the bathroom... I mean, the restaurant!" And we started giggling. Then, I said "Wow. That sounds like I real s**thole!!!" And then we laughed for a GOOD five minutes. I just couldn't stop!! (It's really a "you had to be there" thing, but it was super funny. Just trust me. I'm giggling now.)

Anywho, some more character pictures...

(Look in between my head and Chris's head!)

As breakfast wound up, somehow I ended up with the check. Somehow, no one remembered that I am, indeed, a very typical English student who has no concept of Numbers. I sent the bill over to my dad, and everyone figured out what they owed. People started asking me questions again, and I was getting annoyed. I don't think I would do a morning after breakfast if I could do it again: I was just SO tired and people seemed even more irritating because of it!

Before he left, my dad fist bumped me goodbye. We didn't hug. And that was the last time I saw him. It was 2 months ago today.

And, as Forrest Gump would say, that's all I have to say about that.

We said our goodbyes to everyone else, and went to go check into the Grand Floridian.

I'm trying to stretch my arms to reach to give you a hug but their go-go-Gadget-ness isn't working!

Aww, you're wearing that dress that I adore! And I love your dad sneaking in between you and Chris. :goodvibes

If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here if you need me. Most of my weekdays are spent online, so I'm super quick to reply. (And I'll work on the go-go-Gadget-arms ;))

Omg, I can't keep up!! We're starting the honeymoon, and I haven't even cut the cake yet!!! haha I'm sorry I'm such a slack *** friend! I have good excuses...I promise!

Part 13
-Ahhh Mickey & Pluto!
-Isn't it so exciting?! They came just for you!!!
-Mickey looked like he was telling you that he liked your giant, poofy dress!! lol
-Love the group pics.
-Did Pluto have fleas?
-I wonder if the characters ever feel awkward? lol I would SO dress up and be a character. I'm the perfect shrimpy size to fit in those outfits!!!
-Is it wrong that I want a VR so I can have MORE characters!!! I keep telling Charley that it's happening for our 5 yr anniversary. I just get the stank eye!!
-You better be glad that Minnie wasn't there. She might have tried to whoop up on you girl!
-It looks like Pluto is trying to lick your arm... that makes the threesome pic a little more XXX...
-I'm glad you decided to let Chris back in the pics. That was very nice of you. ;)
-Did the people down on the BW see you up there sparkling? I bet you were blinding people left and right! lmao
-I think Pluto was in love with you.. just sayin!
-Don't you just hate leaving your baby behind?! I hate it when we leave ours. My shih-tzu Ginger loves going on vacation with us. We don't take her now that we have Bentley (our English cocker spaniel). That's just too much.. and he's crazy. We'd be attacked in the car!!! (I'm not kidding lol) But that's not all of our kids.. but that's another story. Did you show Smokey the pics with Pluto in them? Was he totally jealous?!
-Maybe you should've accidentally ran into Lacy while she was standing near the rail.... It's not THAT far to the ground.
-Yes, the kissy pic with Mickey is cute.. but still..
-Your Dad looked really happy when Pluto was hugging him!
-He seriously looks like he's about to bust somebody's face in. I have this whole dialogue in my head that I say when you post pics of your Dad... it's kind of mafia related. And I may or may not sound slightly psychotic to myself while these conversations are taking place. haha!
-Yay! The pics with your gals in them on the balcony are fab!!! Everyone looks so excited to be there! That's the kind of people you want at your wedding!!
-Maybe you should've pushed the character handler off the balcony! Ours was actually pretty good. I didn't have a watch on or anything, but we got a TON of character pics.
-LMAO! I love the combover!!!
-Twirling is fun, because it is. I do it sometimes...
-$580 is ridiculous!!! We stayed at BWV for the first 4 nights of our wedding/honeymoon stay, but we rented points!
-Because you are sneaky?
-You look like you want to smack Chris' mom.
-Butt pics! You know those are my fav! ;)
-The bridal party and character pic is CUTE!
-Yes, the pics of yall up close and the characters in the background are adorable!!!
-That was inappropriate behavior with all of that kissing in front of them!
-It sucked something big when they had to leave.
-I would've punched Lacy... just saying! I didn't take my anxiety meds before the wedding, so I was on the brink... so she would've gotten punched! LOL

Part 14
-Yay, cake!!! I want some cake.. :(
-I really hated to cut the cake, but it's just so yummy!
-I wish I had a glowing castle pic. :(
-I'm glad he didn't smash it in your face. I told Charley NO! And he minds me! ;)
-Why do they tell you to kiss as soon as you put cake in each others mouths?! It's like.. DUDE, let me swallow! haha (That's what she said!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist.)
-Your cake really was fan-freakin-tastic!
-I'm sorry, I still don't understand the Lost cake. ABC wasn't offered with our satellite company then. Thank the Lord, we now have ABC. You can all calm down. I can now watch Modern Family in peace! hahaha

Part 15
-Becky sounds like my kind of gal!!! ;)
-I still like your centerpieces, and I'm sorry you didn't get to take them. I would've made a trip down there to get them. LOL
-I think your Dad was taking a nap on that couch!! It's nice that yall got that time together though.. even if he was trying to $$ details out of you!
-Then... Off with their heads!! Yall look lethal!
-Why oh why is James so depressed? And is that Becky napping at that back table?! LOL!!!
-I think your Belle pic is cute!!!
-That's pretty crappy of BW to leave your stuff outside.
-Merry Christmas! lol!!
-I LOVE that Christy referenced HIMYM.
-Boo to not owning your pics!

Part 16
-Yay, desserts!!
-We were pretty amazed at the GF lobby too. I'm not dying to stay there or anything. Is it wrong that I'd rather stay at AKL?! I just love the giraffes and zebras!!
-Why can't people be on time?? I can't stand that! I'm early for everything. I'm supposed to be at work at 6am. I get there 5:30-5:40am every morning.
-Use your teacher voice.. sometimes you have to! I would've been using my ugly voice, which isn't so nice at Disney! lol
-Your desserts are making me hungry! Sounds sooo tasty.
-We should get jobs at Disney together!!!
-Dean sounds kind of strange. Maybe he thought you and his gf would get along.
-Yay Regina! Oh well if you hurt his feelings!
-What's so hard to understand about a wish box?
-Why do you care what he makes? lol
-I think you should've had Randy too! Just sayin! lol But I like your fireworks pics. It's just so hard to take good fireworks pics.
-LOL I'm glad you took brownies with your Dad after your beef.
-I'm so sad your day is over... but I still have the honeymoon to look forward to.. and get behind on! ;)
-Aww... raccoon eyes! lol

-I'm so glad you were happy with everything overall. I felt like we had an excellent experience with our Disney wedding and honeymoon. I wouldn't hesitate to tell people to have a Disney wedding. (I tell my mom all of the time that she needs to get married there)
-Now about the editing. Now that I'm home, I can look at our pics. We did get some edited pics when we received the disks. They were NOT the fancy, stylish ones you were referring to from his blog. Just the blurring of edges and some color pops. I will admit that I expected to see more. I don't know if it's because I saw that pics on his blog or what. But I emailed him, and he did some of the "highly stylized" ones and posted those.

Now stop being crazy!! You know I heart you!! :)

Now on to HM!
-Aww, nice Becky!
-Chef Mickey's Woohoo!
-See, now I want to slap his entire family!
-Now that's a long wait!
-Your Dad looked like he wanted to go serial killer on the parents! lol
-That looks tasty to me!
-You're my kind of gal! I tell random jokes and stories all of the time.. but nobody usually laughs at them.. it's usually me they're laughing at. :(
-I must say, your gramps sure know how to work a camera!!! hahaha
-*** was your Dad doing?! LOL
-Aww I <3 you!!! I'm thinking about you today! not that I don't EVERYday!! ;)

I was SO stressed out for you and your Dress Dilemma. Like, OMG I can't believe you had to go through that. I was so sad for you--- but I am so happy you get it. Did you get to keep Cindy? They should have let you.

No I gave it back when I picked up my dress. She was a very beautiful dress but I was so happy my dress finally arrived.:yay::yay:

Yes, you MUST have them re-create your wedding cake for your first anniversary! :thumbsup2
I'm also happy to learn that I'm not the only person who doesn't like chocolate cake.
Your pictures are beautiful, but I don't blame you for being upset about the lack of editing. I would be, too.
Reading this has made me realize how much I'm going to miss Christy after our wedding is over. You're right, she is WONDERFUL!
I'm soooo happy that you got Regina for your Epcot pictures!! I :lovestruc them!
It looks like the breakfast at Chef Mickey's was so much fun! My Chris has the same Prince Philip shirt your Chris is wearing! Love it!

-You were so behind! This is going to be such a long comment.
-PLUTO DID NOT HAVE FLEAS! Maybe you have fleas, huh?!?
-Omigosh, Jennifer, you would make the perfect character. Like, perfect. You need to do this.
-LOL! I want a 5 year VR too. Chris said no. I think we should just have a giant Disbride Vow Renewal Extravaganza.
-LOL!!!! You have such a dirty mind.
-Pluto was most certainly in love with me. We’re BFFs.
-You used to bring your doggie on vacation with you?! That’s adorable. Smokey LOVES the place where he gets boarded. Like, loves. The first time we left him there he was terrified and cried and howled. Now we bring him there, and he just goes up to the people who work there and he wags his tail and doesn’t even look at us when we leave. It’s heartbreaking.
-LOL! I could have caused a major accident if I had pushed Lacy over. Oops….
-Oh gosh, Jennifer, I am cracking up picturing your Mafia dialogue. I really am.
-I am too afraid to rent points. I don’t trust people. Also, we’re being given my grandparents’ DVC in a few years, so we’ve decided not to waste our money on any DVC hotels knowing that we will be able to stay in them whenever we want in the future. (And, well, kind of now too. I feel bad. I kind of used up like a year and half worth of points on my wedding stay and Kidani. Oops.)
-I am actually surprised no one at your wedding got attacked! Now THAT would have been a good headline. It could have gone viral.
-I want cake too. I had 3 cupcakes yesterday. No judgment.
-LOL! I think I swallowed first. (giggle giggle) I can’t remember. We’re all turning into 15 year old boys between this and Dick Hardman.
-Ummmm you should go watch all 6 seasons of LOST now. I’ll wait here. I’ll bet Charley would like it.
-I really wish I had known my mom was going to be psycho prior to my wedding: you and Charley could have had her seats! I had to pay for them anyway. And then you could have had my CPs too!
-LOL! Yes, that WAS Becky napping in the background. She was dead tired. I didn’t even notice it in that picture hahaha.
-And I wish we owned our pictures. But the disc is $1,000! A THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Do you know what I could do with 1k?!?! A lot. I stayed at Pop Century for a week in September for $1200 and that included room, tickets, and dining! Just saying.
-I am going to take SO many pictures of giraffes and zebras for you in May!
-I’ve encountered a lot of Disney people who complain about their wages. It’s odd.
-Ooohh you did email Randy about the editing? That’s good. I kind of want to, but I hate confrontation and awkward situations.
-My dad almost always wanted to go serial killer on his parents. Whenever they would call him, he would hold the phone away from his ear as they talked and say “MAN! They’re SO ANNOYING!!!”
-People laugh at me telling my stories too. Except Richelle. She laughs with me. Sometimes, I lay in bed thinking about something funny I have said and just start laughing. Chris will then say “You really don’t even need me here, do you? You have so much fun by yourself.” Yes, yes I do.
-And thank you. <3 <3 <3
-And wow. This reply is over a page long!!!

No I gave it back when I picked up my dress. She was a very beautiful dress but I was so happy my dress finally arrived.:yay::yay:

Oh no, I was also SO happy when your dress arrived too! I just think they should have let you have both. You could have, I don't know, used Cindy as a Halloween costume!

Love it!

My mouth is watering thinking about re-creating my cake. I gave up chocolate for Lent, and I realllly want red velvet cake! And I miss Christy so much. She's so awesome. And YAY! Our Chrises have the same shirt! I bought it for Chris in 2010 on our proposal trip, and I made him wear it to breakfast that day. I felt it was fitting!

Such cute character pictures! Ahh!!

Thanks, Faith!!

All right, I have a little bit of time before class today, so I suppose I can do another update! Woohoo!

Honeymoon Day 1, Part 2

I was so excited to stay at the Grand Floridian. It had been my dream hotel since I was 8 years old, probably because it was also my Grammy's dream hotel. (We always stayed at mods when I was younger, my Gaga tried to convince her to stay at the GF, but Grammy is a frugal gal.) When I found out that we got a free room night, I knew I had to use it on the GF: even though Chris wanted to use it at BLT. I reminded him that we were already spending 7 (free!) nights there, and so we got to stay at the GF.

When we checked into the GF, I heard the woman checking in next to us being told that she received a free upgrade to MK view. This made my heart all a-flutter: we were a wedding couple! Maybe we'd get the free upgrade too! But, our CM handed us our room keys... and nope, no upgrade. Just your standard room. Boo. Still, it was a free night at the GF so I wasn't about to complain.

We got settled into our room, and I took the standard pictures.

I suppose we got two beds in case we wanted to be like Lucy and Ricky Ricardo on our honeymoon?

Now, while I thought the room was certainly pretty, I just did not think it was worth the rack rate of $650 a night, which was the going price for marathon weekend. And, honestly, even though the bathroom area was gorgeous, I preferred BCV to this room, especially because there weren't two beds. I really think DVC has spoiled me!!

We decided to go explore, and when we realized Gasparilla's had the house made chips, we decided to have a snack too! (Have you ever had those fresh Disney chips? They're amazing!) From there, we got on a bus to the Animal Kingdom, as that was the only park we hadn't been to yet and we wanted to ride Everest...

...but Everest was down! We were also on a search for a hat we had seen earlier: you know those cute little round Yeti stuffed animals? We had seen a girl wearing a ski hat that looked just like them, and we WANTED THAT HAT! But, alas, the hat could not be found. (Does anyone here have it? If so, I'll pay you big bucks for it!)

At the park entrance, I took some pictures of this cute little baby pig. His yawn reminded me of Smokey's. Yes, I was missing my furbaby hardcore.

As we were wandering around, we found RUSSELL!!! I was so excited.

One thing I should mention: I wasn't going to make Chris wear the groom ears as I knew the mouse ears were uncomfortable. But, he said if I was wearing bride ears, then he NEEDED the groom ears and wore them every single day of our trip. He is such a trooper.

We decided to go catch the Finding Nemo show, and I cried as per usual. After Nemo, EE was still down, and there really wasn't anything else we wanted to do in AK, so we went back to the hotel.

We stopped at bell services to get our bags, and our bellhop from our DP, Jockey John, was assigned to help us bring them up! It was nice to see a familiar face. He got our bags and helped us bring them to the room, and he was more than displeased with our room. "They couldn't even get you a king bed?!?!? Usually, we try to at least do that for our brides! Let me see what I can do." John made a few phone calls, and he got us a new room! He tried to get us a suite with two balconies, but apparently there was a Disney Vice President in our suite and we weren't allowed to bump him.

Unfortunately, this whole process took about an hour, but we were touched that he went through all of this trouble for us. We found out that he had, unsurprisingly, been a jockey at one time in his life (hence the name) and had worked at Disney for 20 straight years, and 38 years on and off.

He brought us to our new room and told us room keys would be sent up in a bit.

What's that I see?!?! Is it a castle?!?

We could hear the Magic Kingdom from our room, even with the doors closed. It was just magical.

Unfortunately, not soon after we arrived in our new room, Chris got Sick. He had horrible stomach pains and was just keeled over on the floor. I was trying so hard not to be selfish, but I was rather disappointed: I didn't want to spend the first night of my honeymoon with a sick husband! We had to cancel our reservation at Citrico's because he just wasn't up to it. I was a dutiful wife and went to the gift shop to get him some medicine--- I picked up Alka Seltzer and some Tums. While in the main lobby, I saw a bride taking pictures and looking all pretty, and I became horribly jealous: it was not one of my finer moments, I'll tell you. I also got our new room keys because the ones that were promised never showed up.

Chris took the Alka-Seltzer (which I had never taken before, but decided to try it out) and was almost completely cured within 10 minutes. That stuff works FAST! We were very happy to learn that he didn't have appendicitis or something, but knowing he was safe, I was able to have a crying fit: I was tired, I was sad that I wasn't a bride anymore, and I was frustrated that we had to cancel our first romantic dinner. Chris consoled me, and after the tears were dry we had a knock on our door: the GF sent us up a bottle of champagne with a rose. Champagne definitely helped the tears.

We went back down to Gasparilla's and got some QS for dinner (it was unremarkable, as could be expected) and waited around for the fireworks to start. Because we had a MK view room, my goal for the night was to watch the fireworks from our balcony.

DSCN0414.jpg

I didn't take any pictures during the fireworks, but Wishes was fabulous as per usual. (It's one of my favorite things in WDW, as I have mentioned.) We sat on our balcony and watched as we sipped our champagne and, all in all, it was a terrific ending to our day.

However, we had to get to sleep right after the fireworks: Beaute Speciale was coming at 6:30 the next morning to do my hair and makeup for my Epcot photoshoot!

Jackie,

I love the first Honeymoon report. Sounds like you had ups and downs, but turned out perfect in the end.

I love your dress you wore to AK!! SO pretty

Can't wait to hear more.

Oh I had no idea you were a LOSTie! That makes me <3 you even more. What did you think of the finale, if you don't mind me asking?

OTHER DISERS: DON'T READ BELOW IF YOU PLAN ON WATCHING LOST

This is actually a point of contention in our household. I hated hated hated it, and Brandon really liked it. To me, it just felt like a writing cop out. I wanted some kind of explanation for why the island was so important, but I felt like they straddled the answer. They implied that it was purgatory, but then that the "life" that came after the island was purgatory. They also just dropped a lot of the little mystery plot lines, which makes me feel like they introduced plot elements without actually writing the backstory. They also did that thing where Jack was the protector, then Hurley was the protector, and they both held the post for, oh, 3 minutes. I'm a little bitter.

Ok, anyway...
-I would have been unbearable after waiting over an hour for people to show up. Ack.
-We went to Chef Mickey's on our HM too! The food there is so yummy.
-Donald's hat is looking pretty sad. Someone let all the air out.

I just tried to 'like' Michelle's post above mine, in regards to LOST. :lmao:

Love the pic of you and Russell. It looks like you're trying to figure out how to swipe a badge or two. Do you know if Dug's ever around? Because if he is, I think I need a pic of Doug with Dug. It'd be too perfect!

Yay for Jockey John! And all hail Alka-Seltzer! :worship: I'm so glad you guys got upgraded for the night and had such a fabulous view! :goodvibes

Eeek! Where have I been for the last few days, how could I have missed the updates!

Ugh Dean seems a bit strange! But you got to meet Russell :thumbsup2

Shame about the lateness of your guests at CM and I so wanted to reach out and hug you at the end

Am I being a snob or do the rooms at GF seem a bit blurgh and dated. Nice job though on scoring a king :cool1: and some champers.

Thank you so much! The dress was an AA bridesmaid dress that I bought just for funsies. :)

AGAIN: SPOILER WARNINGS!

I actually really liked the finale. I didn't see it as the island being purgatory, but rather as the Alternate Reality being the Purgatory: that everyone left the island, lived their lives, and then died whenever. The "Purgatory" was Jack's sort of inner monologue: the resolutions that he needed in order to move on. And Hurley was the protector for years! I got shivers when he told Ben he was a "great number 2." I think that Season 6 as a whole should have been better, but I loved the finale.

Awww, poor Donald's hat! And I'm not even that big on CMs, it was the only one that could accommodate my party size. My favorite CB is O'hana, but Chris doesn't eat eggs, which is the biggest aspect of their menu. Oh well.

I just tried to 'like' Michelle's post above mine, in regards to LOST. :lmao:

Russell was actually just out for that week--- and Carl was allegedly out too, but I couldn't find him. Dug WAS out in 2009, but I didn't wait in line to meet him and it's, like, my biggest regret. :(

Eeek! Where have I been for the last few days, how could I have missed the updates!

Awww, thank you. <3 And I do think the room at the GF was a bit dated... not a lot, but just a bit.

Just wishing for some pixie dust from my DisBrides: I am taking the Praxis 2 tomorrow! I am not too worried about the subject matter, but I get nervous when I have to take tests. But, after I finish grading these papers that came in today, and after the Praxis is finished, I am on spring break!!! :cool1::cool1:

Just caught up on your posts from yesterday and today! First of all, good luck on the Praxis 2! I remember having loads of fun taking the Praxis and I'm sure Praxis 2 is just as fun (I hope you know that I'm being sarcastic). And yay for spring break! I miss spring breaks...

I, too, want to give you hugs after reading your post from yesterday. My mom (in CT) has been ill for years and every time I say goodbye to her at the end of a trip (or even on the phone), I think what if this is the last time I see/talk to her. And we typically bicker so we don't usually end things in a nice manner which makes it even worse... Anyway, my point is it is so hard to have these thoughts when your KNOW your parent is ill and in a way it can somewhat prepare you for the future. I can't imagine how difficult it must be when it was so sudden. Brings tears to my eyes and I apologize if these thoughts bring you more sadness. I'm here girl!

Happier thoughts: I'm so glad Jockey John hooked you guys up. Yay JJ! And free champagne tastes even better, doesn't it?! ;)

I also wanted to mention (not to continue to hate on Randy) that I'm not really a fan of most of his editing. I love your pics and hopefully you can request the effects you really adore on some select pics?

Catherine, thank you so much for your thoughts. <3 I can't imagine dealing with illness of a parent either--- and thank you for sharing that with me. :)

I just wanted to say that three members of the disboards (and former IRL friends of mine) are reading my trip report and making fun of it on twitter. (As in "get it back to the Jungle Cruise!!")2 of their accounts are private, 1 is not, and that is how I was able to find out.

For the love of GOD, grow the eff up. You do realize you're making fun of someone whose father just died, right? I haven't spoken to or about any of you since the summer, and you're still reading my trip report?! Get lives, all of you.

Just catching up. Yay for getting a room upgrade, that was so nice of Mr. Jockey!

I'm sorry your H got sick, that stinks and I don't blame you for feeling sad. I'm glad you got to sip champagne and watch the fireworks anyway.

That is so lame that others are making fun of you, some people can be so cruel and childish. (((hugs)))
