Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

I don't have time to post tomorrow morning (I have to do a few things in the morning before class), so I decided to have a Sunday night update! That's right, I'm changing things around.

Wedding Day, Part 9

I forgot to post this picture earlier, but I wanted to share it with you girls. As soon as Chris and I got to the car after the REAL exit, I started doing the shotgun pose. Chris and I are obsessed with I Love You, Man, and it's a pose that Peter Klaven does when he's trying on tuxes. So, naturally, we had to do it together.

Anywho, so it's time for Bridal Portraits!

First, we took some around SBP.

JC04021-6-12.jpg

JC04091-6-12.jpg

JC04171-6-12.jpg

I love how we look SO much calmer than we did, oh, 20 minutes ago. We look relieved! (Still happy, but relieved.)

JC04231-6-12.jpg

I am in LOVE with this one.

JC04281-6-12.jpg

JC24061-6-12.jpg

JC24111-6-12.jpg

Then, we hopped in the car and went further down the Boardwalk.

JC04561-6-12.jpg

(Everyone was waving to us, so I had to wave back!)

We got out of the car, and a bunch more strangers took pictures. So surreal!

JC24801-6-12.jpg

JC25021-6-12.jpg

(I was laughing here.)

JC25211-6-12.jpg

Look at my handsome hubs!

JC25231-6-12.jpg

JC25411-6-12.jpg

Randy jumped up onto a chair for these and did oh, I don't know, something fancy. I feel like we look like we're in an old movie.

JC25511-6-12.jpg

JC25571-6-12.jpg

JC25631-6-12.jpg

We said goodbye to our BFF Dick sometime after this. I felt bad that I didn't have his tip envelope for him: it was with my bridesmaids. But, Becky ended up giving it to Christy, who I am sure gave it to our BFF.

JC13391-6-12.jpg

We walked up Carrie's famous staircase

JC04611-6-12.jpg

He had Chris stand up a stair higher for me, and I was CONVINCED I was going to fall. Thankfully, no brides were harmed during this photoshoot.

JC04791-6-12.jpg

Randy, are you REALLY making me do this?! You know I'm gonna fall, right?!

JC04911-6-12.jpg

We walked to the front of the hotel to get some pictures of the Boardwalk sign. (Where were we again?! I forget!)

JC05091-6-12.jpg

Cars kept trying to cross our path, but our wedding assistant, Kelly, was having none of that. I think Disney Fairy Tale Wedding's new slogan should be "Disney: Where We Stop Traffic For You, No Matter What the Cost."

JC13711-6-12.jpg

I truly have no idea where these were taken. By the staircase, maybe? A balcony outside? I don't remember!

JC13751-6-12.jpg

JC13851-6-12.jpg

I am unsure how I feel about this series. It's just so ME up in your face! I might get a print of it for Chris to put on his desk though.

JC24311-6-12.jpg

JC24451-6-12.jpg

We went inside and got some pictures too. I love these: I remember looking in the mirror and not recognizing myself for a second!

JC05281-6-12.jpg

JC05391-6-12.jpg

JC13151-6-12.jpg

Then, we headed up the elevator and up the neverending hallway. We finally got to The Attic...

JC05441-6-12.jpg

and I couldn't wait to see it again! It was time for our Reception to begin.

JC05471-6-12.jpg

(I know you all LOVE it when I end with a cliffhanger...)

Uggh, ok, so I swear I'm still here!!! I was sick and my parents are in town visiting, so I have been a silent participant! I guess I'm just a bad friend like, Jennifer. :lmao: ;) J/k, j/k.

•I saw the pony pic on Facebook--too cute! I love weird pet names. I call Chris 'Doodle Bear' (he's an illustrator) and he calls me 'Shutter Bug' (I am a photographer). Uber losers, I know.
•Your vows are so sweet and special. I have chills.
•Major Domo saves the day! I love the guests' reactions.
•They really should give you a glass slipper…what the crap?!
•The staged exit is sooo pretty. I love bubbles.
•And of course, that car is just sexy.
•I love your Aunt Margie--My mother wears her makeup like that too! LOL.
•I adore that you can get so many different backdrops at SBP. Versatile pictures!!!
•Awww, look at your hubs!
•Those oval pictures are so cool.
•HAHA, Kelly looks like a great traffic conductor! Glad you were in safe hands.
•I wanna steal that chandelier from the Boardwalk…it's just so cool.
•The Attic…why must you be so far away?! (That IS the longest walk in the world.)
•Thanks for that cliffhanger. You are the best. ;)

YAY. I'm caught up and ready for more!

I was about to come on here and add my dress pictures, but then saw that you updated and had to stop everything to come look. :rotfl:

That second one of just you - in the most recent post - is seriously stunning.

The ones by the stairs came out so fantastic. I don't blame you for being nervous. Even without a dress on balance is an issue!

The expression on Kelly's face is hilarious!

And, ya know, even 'Lost' at least did previews for the next week ;)

LOVING your updates. You both look so happy, and I think your dress is perfect on you!!! You were glowing and so beautiful!!

I love your bridesmaids dresses and the colors of the flowers...really popped nice against your dress!!

Your dad looks like he was having a great time, I'm so happy that you have these lovely memories of him to add to your collection.

I love the guns pose by the car, looks like you guys stayed true to yourselves even with photographers and guests vying for your attention!!!

Please keep sharing, I'm loving all of it!!

Brooke

Well, gorgeous girl, more beautiful pictures!!!! I haven't seen a bad one yet. I don't expect to though, you are such a photogenic couple and Randy is such a genius!!! What a combination!!!!

Love the pictures around the Boardwalk and especially on the stairs. With each new picture I keep thinking, oooh, I'm going to have that shot, and that shot, and that shot...

YAY I'm glad you're back! (Although, Jennifer hasn't commented yet because she's a horrible friend still... :rolleyes1) I hope you're feeling better and that you had a good visit with your parents. :D

Those nicknames are ADORBS, Danielle! I'm glad I'm not the only one with a makeup-heavy family member: it must be their age group. That car was SO sexy, but not as secksy as Dick Hardman. And you're right--- I never thought about how versatile SBP was!

Do you think they would notice if we stole that chandelier? I mean, it's not TOO big... right?

I was about to come on here and add my dress pictures, but then saw that you updated and had to stop everything to come look. :rotfl:

I was SO excited to see your dress pictures, by the way! :D Thank you for all of the lovely compliments. And I was SO scared of falling: I seriously fall all the time. All. The. Time.

AND NO SPOILERS!

Pictures look fabulous!

Thank youuu!

I'm loving your recaps. I think SBP is soooooo pretty.

I love SBP. It was a dream come true getting married there.

Thanks, Brooke! I was obsessed with my dress, and I would give anything to be able to wear it again. (I had a dream about it the other night; apparently, I am one of THOSE girls.) And I have an inability to remain serious for too long, no matter how dressed up I am!

Well, gorgeous girl, more beautiful pictures!!!! I haven't seen a bad one yet. I don't expect to though, you are such a photogenic couple and Randy is such a genius!!! What a combination!!!!

Ha! Chalk it up to Randy's genius more than Chris and I being photogenic! :lmao: (Well, I think he is. I don't think I am!) Thank you, Jo. <3

Love the pictures around the Boardwalk and especially on the stairs. With each new picture I keep thinking, oooh, I'm going to have that shot, and that shot, and that shot...

Yay! I'm glad I could give you inspiration.

Thanks, Teresa! I think taking pictures around the resorts is a GREAT idea: I kind of wish I had thought of it. :goodvibes

Wedding Day, Part 10

...On a side note, I can't believe this is the tenth entry about my wedding day and I am not even at the reception yet! Craziness.

As we were waiting to go into the reception, Kelly asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We both asked for a lemonade, and Kelly walky-talkyed over our request: which we both thought was absolutely hilarious. I felt like Mia in Princess Diaries. They brought us out two lemonades and fruit cups.

JC05531-6-12.jpg

The lemonade was freshly squeezed and delicious. I thought that the lemonade was just going to be that Minute Maid Lite crap that you get in the parks, but it was so much better than that. I was also told that the coffee at our wedding was excellent too, but I didn't try any because I was terrified of getting some on my dress. (Which is very sad, as I am a hugeee coffee fan.) I was also pleasantly surprised to realize that they had put our coffee out for our pre-reception, even though I was told they didn't do that.

Anyway, our guestbook was also set up right outside.

JC07031-6-12.jpg

JC07051-6-12.jpg

You can somewhat see the Coach pen we bought from DFTW too.

As we were waiting to go inside, Randy went into The Attic and took some pictures of the room.

JC05571-6-12.jpg

This is all of our pre-reception food: we had the Mickey fruit cups and the cheese display. Sadly, all I was able to eat of any of this was a single bite of a Watermelon Mickey ear. Everyone told me that the cheese was absolutely delicious though, and after looking at pictures, I was glad to see that everything looked pretty too.

JC05581-6-12.jpg

People DID keep saying to me "Did you know the watermelon was shaped like Mickey?!?!" Um, I spent a year planning this wedding: of COURSE I knew the watermelon was shaped like Mickey!

Our sweetheart table, with my lovely Beauty and the Beast rose:

JC05601-6-12.jpg

JC05621-6-12.jpg

Disney Floral put rose petals on each one of the tables, which I thought was a nice touch, and it was nice touch I didn't pay for!

Our placecards, with the new CM nametag design:

JC05661-6-12.jpg

Our toasting flutes that I stole from my grandparents:

JC05711-6-12.jpg

It was FINALLY time for us to be announced, and this is where I was really glad to have Major Domo. Seeing as we didn't have a DJ (and you can't have a DJ at The Attic), he made our announcement fluid: I feel like it would have been somewhat awkward without him there. We didn't have the bridal party announced because we had such a small wedding, and because I wanted them to go eat!

JC05771-6-12.jpg

Major Domo announced the new Mr. and Mrs. Dunn

JC05821-6-12.jpg

He told us that, unfortunately, he had to go back to the castle before Cinderella started missing him, but he declared us the Honorary Cinderella and Prince Charming of the Day.

JC05921-6-12.jpg

After his exit, we went right into our first dance, which was "Then" by Brad Paisley.

JC05961-6-12.jpg

Chris and I had choreographed a routine--- but we hadn't practiced in over a month, and I was far too nervous to do any of our more complicated steps. Instead, we just did a simple rumba, but it was still sweet.

So, um, this is kind of awkward with all of these people watching us dance, huh?!

JC06021-6-12.jpg

I love these shots. I don't know if it's a standard Randy Picture, but I've never seen it before if it is!

JC06201-6-12.jpg

JC06231-6-12.jpg

JC06361-6-12.jpg

The "dancing area" at The Attic was so small. I kind of wish we had done it on the patio outside, but the ipod dock was hooked up inside. Oh well!

We ended our dance with a curtsy and a bow.

JC06531-6-12.jpg

(On a side note, I noticed that Chris's mom wasn't even watching our first dance--- like, really!?! I was too happy to be annoyed at the time though.)

We had a seat, and we went right into the speeches. Luis, the Best Man, went first.

JC14321-6-12.jpg

Some fun facts about Luis: His hair is usually longer, but he recently shaved it to support his sister who is undergoing chemo for breast cancer (she's all clear right now though!); he's from Paraguay but lives in New York City; and Chris met him online through a video game message board website years ago. I used to tease Chris incessantly for having online friends: but now that I have all of you girls, I have bitten my tongue!

JC14341-6-12.jpg

Luis's toast began with "Ever since I have known Chris, he has been searching for a princess..." but then he went into a discussion of how he tried to find princesses in various Mario and Legend of Zelda games. The speech ended with "Chris has found his princess: and she is NOT in another castle." Sweet and funny.

(See? We're laughing.)

JC06581-6-12.jpg

After Luis came my MOH, Richelle. Randy, unfortunately, didn't get a good picture of her giving her speech, but we all know she's lovely.

JC14411-6-12.jpg

Some fun facts about Richelle: we met at a sleepover at Becky's house when we were 14 and she "sneak attacked" me by jumping on my butt; she really wants to be a film maker; and she has been obsessed with Stitch since high school but she didn't get to meet him when she was in Disney.

JC14421-6-12.jpg

Richelle's speech mentioned how long she has known Chris and me (she mentioned that she never thought her best friend and "that kid who went to my middle school" would get married!), and she also mentioned a lot of the same things I wrote about in my letter to her. She concluded her speech with a quote from Pride and Prejudice, my favorite book. (She actually gave me her speech to write in here, but I am not 100 percent unpacked yet. Don't judge me.)

We toasted, and Randy had us do some more posed toasts. (You can tell how silly I think this is.)

JC06631-6-12.jpg

JC06691-6-12.jpg

We had apple cider, by the way, not champagne. The apple cider was pretty good, but I don't think it was $37 a bottle good. $37 a bottle!!!

After toasts, it was time to eat! I was pretty hungry by then. Chris and I were guided around by someone-or-other from Disney, which was nice.

JC06751-6-12.jpg

JC06771-6-12.jpg

It felt really awkward just pointing at food and having someone give it to me.

I had cheddar cheese soup with some pretzel breadsticks, parmesan crusted chicken, french toast with apple and cinnamon filling, a mickey waffle, and some greens with mango poppyseed dressing. It was all SO delicious: people kept talking about how good the chicken was. (My dad even liked it, and he doesn't like anything.) I really wanted to have more food--- I was craving an omelet--- but I got full a lot quicker than usual. I think it was just nerves, exhaustion, and relief, to be honest!

After we ate, Chris and I got up and mingled, and this was probably the only negative thing I have to say about my wedding day: Chris and I seemed to spend most of the wedding day apart, as he went to go talk with his family and friends, and I went to talk with mine. Living in Wisconsin, we only see our families 2 or 3 times a year now, and we hadn't seen them since September so it was understandable, but it still made me kind of sad. Did any of you find that this happened on your wedding days too? I did eventually wind up at Chris's family's table, butttt as I was conversing with them my cake FINALLY arrived! (And I had been looking forward to seeing that thing all day.) Oh well...

I think that's a good place to end, don't you?! :goodvibes

Love the shot of you 2 dancing through the cake server.

Damn you, for leaving your report just before cake pics LOL. I will try to wait patiently for the next update.........is it up yet? LOL

Your pictures are amazing Jackie! And that food! OMG!!!!!

Mickey watermelon... fantastic, I need to make that happen!! xxx

•The fruit and cheese spread looked so yummy! (And cute!)
•I'm so happy you had the Beauty and the Beast rose, yay!
•I freaking love those name tag chocolates.
•Omg, I laughed so hard when I read the part about Luis being Chris' online friend…and then us being your online friends.
•The food looks soooo good. I want 1 of everything, please! :)

Jackie, I love all of your pictures! I had no idea they would do Mickey head-shaped watermelon! :goodvibes Watermelon is one of the fruits we're having on our brunch buffet, so I will have to ask for that!

I absolutely  your guest book! Where did you find it at? I remember seeing it earlier in your PJ, but I can't remember where you got it.

I also love your Beauty & the Beast rose centerpiece on your sweetheart table! :lovestruc

Day 3
-I love your face when you were talking to Belle. Isn’t it strange how we sometimes feel like we are talking to the real characters?
-That Belle is sooo pretty!
-I’ve always had a thing for Gaston. He is sexy! (and yes, the beast should be worried!)
-The store in Japan is like the coolest store in all of World Showcase! Peter went crazy when he saw all the Godzilla stuff. I need to see your pony bag and stickers!!!!!!!!!!!
-That is a really pretty picture of the Boardwalk. Disney Art is nice to look at when Disney withdraws are taking place.
-Mmmmmmm CUPCAKE PARTY! Everyone seems to really like the cupcakes!
-I can’t believe your mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to kick her!!!! I mean who does that!
-The mashed potatoes at 1900 Park Fare are the BEST!!!!!
-That Price Charming is a bit blah.
- That Lady Tremaine ROCKS! We had her too! She plays her part so well.
-You look so pretty in your dress! And the sparkly cardigan is magical! :goodvibes
-GHETTO SPA LOL! :rotfl:
-I can’t believe that you mom acted like that at your dads wake! I swear some people do not know how to act like decent human beings!
Wedding day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bride:
-You have some great friends, especially Richelle, for being on the lookout for Cindy.
-$80 for breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But this wasn’t just normal breakfast it was WEDDING BREAKFAST!
-Why did she put on the Backstreet Boys? *N’SYNC would have really set the mood! :thumbsup2Jk In all honesty though you have some great friends. They seem to have made your experience so fun.
-HAHAHAHA about the hookers! :rotfl2:That seems like a logical response!
- I am so happy that you wore the hoodie!!!!!!
-I love! Love! Love! your flowers!!!! Don’t you think it was such a special feeling when they arrived?
-Jackie you look gorgeous!
-What is it with boys and not taking pictures of themselves! Ugh! I would have love to have seen Peter getting ready.
-Randy took some amazing pictures of the boys, what the hell am I saying, all of the pictures Randy took of your wedding were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-You know they ran for the birds on their own. Lol
-I think my favorite picture is the one where your dad is choking Chris.
-AWWWWW Jackie you just look so beautiful and happy as a bride!:bride:
-I can soooo picture you letting out a loud f-bomb. That’s funny, and classy!
-That was nice of Chris to keep the Christmas decorations a secret.
-The pictures of your dad when he saw you for the first time make my heart melt. Those are some wonderful photos. You should frame them because that is a magical moment.
-The Model A was a great choice!
-Randy does such a good job with the reflection shots.
-You should have gone on the beach!!! But I do understand the Kate Spade dilemma.
-I am so happy that you felt like a princess!!!! princess:
-Becky has some cool tattoos! I noticed she is a hello kitty fan. (I have the same pink gloves as her) It’s so nice when someone shares the obsession. That was so nice of her to go on the hunt for the veil.
- Did you feel like you were running out of time? I did. I remember I asked Randy for the time and he told me, “Do you have somewhere you need to be?” I just busted out laughing because when you think about it, why are we asking, they have it under control, and where else could I possibly need to be? But the control freak in me needs to know!
-I am now on Part 5 YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am leaving work so I will continue the update later. I am determined to catch up!!!!

ok, FDD (Future Disney Daughter), I fell behind (again) and now I am caught up (again)...The good thing about falling so far behind is that there are fewer "hey, there's a hatch" kinda cliffhangers. :lmao:

*Sadly for us there will be no special transport. I am already afraid of our budget with 7 events, so no money for it. Also, don't really think it works for UK. No one will see it for most of the time.
* I will definitely be stealing the ribbon and flower idea. Awesome!!
* So glad you get to go for NYE. I really want to some year, but Paul is resistant. :confused3

on to the important stuff....

Part 6

* The picture of Dad kissing you made me tear up. It's absolutely beautiful.
* I really love SBP. Perfect spot for a ceremony.
* I know all that she did leading up to the wedding, but I am kinda happy that Lacy made it.
* Love the vows! Both sets were beautiful. Paul is threatening to say "Ditto" to mine, knowing that mine are done. :rotfl2:
* Love, love, love the Major Domo. Very fitting for a Princess. :bride:
* What do you mean you don't get to keep the slipper???? That should be a keepsake and engraved even!!! Piffle!

Part 7

* Awesome photos! You both look fabulous and happy.
* The staged exit pic is gorgeous. I am so torn on petals, bubbles or ribbons.
* Great shot in the car!!

Part 8
* You have to be the center of attention on wedding day. Silly!!!
* Love the shots with Dad. Smile, please???
* Your Grammy's dress is lovely.
* With both Dad and Chris looking like serial killers. Does that mean you like serial killers?? ;)
* Lacy's dress is very nice. You really look thrilled to be standing next to her. :rolleyes1
* Glad you got shots with everyone too. We want that as well.

Part 9
* Love the Bridal portraits.
* Great job not falling on the stairs. I am so bad at that too. No balance.
* Love the photo of your asst. stopping traffic. Don't mess with her!!! :scared1:

Part 10
* I love the guest book, but you already know I planning on stealing it for November. :rolleyes1
* OMG! Mickey Watermelon!!! So cool!
* Food looks amazing! We are definitely doing the parmesan chicken and the cheese soup too. I think at the Welcome Dinner. YUM!
* The Attic looks fabulous. Stupid DJ rule. :headache:
* Cool shot with the cake cutter. I haven't seen it before.
* Speeches looked fun. Glad you enjoyed them.
* I hate posed toasts too. Soooo awkward.

Okay....all caught up. "It's not Penny's boat" and all. :happytv:

:hug::hug:
