Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

Haha even more a like. I've only bought 2 designer purses... And 1 at the for market in Jacksonville, FL.. I'm pretty sure it's a fake!! :lmao:

I think I'll just decide about the slip at the last minute.. Like that morning. Lol

Good luck with your floral land all of that. I know you'll def be under budget!!

I love the dress!!!

This year, for a period of time around the Princess Half Marathon, Disney had a sale on a few of the Dooney and Bourke bags, but I don't think it was all of them. I think if you really want one of those, you have to get it when you see the right pattern in the right bag. But, if there's anyone out there who feels the bag is out of their price range, you may want to wait until the PHM and if they have another sale. It was in store and on line last year. I bought my daughter a small bag after the PHM discount ended, and she just loves it.

I'm looking forward to seeing more photos of your trip.

I just caught up!! I looks like a great mini-trip you guys had!! Your wedding food looks AMAZING! And those ice cream sandwiches you had for dinner one night....I am adding that to my list of "Things I Must Eat" on my next trip!! YUM!

Your dress is amazing by the way! Perfect for a Disney Wedding!

Jackie, I just read your entire TR, and let me just say that it made me so happy!!! :goodvibes You made me giggle several times, hahaha. :rotfl:

I also want to say that I am sorry that your family doesn't seem to be very supportive. :sad2: You are such a sweet person and you don't deserve that!

Oh, and that dress!!! It's BEAUTIFUL, and you look so pretty in it!!!

Hi! So I told you on my page I'm trying to get through your PJ as fast as I can to get caught up to the current stuff. :surfweb: (Yes I'm drinking coffee as I read. But hopefully my eyes don't look as droopy as the smilies!) I'm so behind! I'm on page 11, but I hopefully will finish in the next hour if I don't have too many interruptions!
Anyway, I had to stop and say something. Since I'm so far behind, I don't know if you've done this or not already:

You need to report those Alfred Angelo B*t*hes to coporate. I am appalled at the way they treated you. :furious: There is NO excuse for their behavior- first the very rude and unhelpful one when you tried on the dress at home, then the very nasty one when you went to buy your RD dress. I know it was awhile back but I'm sure coporate wants to know that their employees are not giving them a good name. If you're not one to complain, think of it this way- you could save a future bride from enduring the same bad experience.

So I will hop off my soapbox now and say that I'm so sorry that happened to you. You deserve better!

*And I almost bought the Cindy dress too but it was just too much for a 5'5" girl. I swam in it. But it is absolutely STUNNING on you!!!!!! You look like a PRINCESS!!!!!! princess:

Whew! finished! :woohoo: I did see that you emailed a compplaint about the dress shop. Disregard last post LOL. Glad to see everything is moving along smoothly. your dress is still as beautiful as ever. princess:
I got my Floral BOE about an hour ago(!) and it came to $4K, and we have a decent amount of flowers. Yours should be waaaay cheaper.
As you saw on my PJ we're serving the French Cut Tanglewood Farms Chicken with Blackberry Demi. Everyone LOVED it, but I had always wondered about the Parmesean Crusted Chicken. Now I'm kinda wishing we had tried that. Oh well. I'll live vicariously through you! ;) But we both have the Beer Cheddar Soup!!!!! My god I dream about that stuff. I can't wait to have more! :cloud9:

I love your dress!! So sorry you are dealing with all that drama! There must be something in the air lately ... too much drama all around!! Sending you some good vibes and happy thoughts! :goodvibes :flower3:

LOVE the dress!! You look like a princess! princess:

Thank you! I -feel- like a princess! It's just so pretty. :)

haha! Actually, I lied. I found a coach purse at TJ Maxx once for $40 (eeek!) and I -did- get a real one for my 21st birthday. So I guess I have 4, but the TJ Maxx one doesn't count and it's tiny and useless.

Do you have a slip already?! Just wondering :)

I love the dress!!!

I wish I had more pictures of my trip, Susan! And I did at least get the AP discount on the 40th anniv bag--- I don't think they're really discounted yet because they're new and REALLY popular. Every little bit helps though!

My wedding food was SO good, Christen, OMG! And the ice cream sandwiches... delish! They're better for dinner than a snack though; I don't think I could have eaten them if I hadn't eaten in 8 hours!

And thank you for the dress compliment! :)

I am so glad I made you giggle! I have a rather dry sense of humor... could you tell? My family has never been overly supportive... but I'm used to it. :) (I hope that doesn't sound pity-party! I just am!) And thank you for calling me sweet... Chris would disagree!!! :lmao:

And again, thank you for the dress compliment!

Whew! finished! :woohoo: I did see that you emailed a compplaint about the dress shop. Disregard last post LOL. Glad to see everything is moving along smoothly. your dress is still as beautiful as ever. princess:

haha--- yes, I DID contact AA, but I never heard from them. That actually really ticks me off; I gave their company about $2,000. My girls also had a rough time with them, AND, not to mention, I was sent the incorrect wedding dress! Worst day EVER! Oh well. NEVER again!

Oohh, I LOVE Tanglewood Farms chicken! That actually sounds really good too... Chris wouldn't like the demi, but that sounds reallllly good. Too bad we can't just attend each other's weddings! :lmao: And I want some soup now SO badly!!!

I love your dress!! So sorry you are dealing with all that drama! There must be something in the air lately ... too much drama all around!! Sending you some good vibes and happy thoughts! :goodvibes :flower3:

Thank you, Nichole! There is so much drama going around these here disboards (said in a creepy voice... what is into me today?) Thank GOODNESS we all have each other!

I know I promised the BEO right away, but I figured you guys needed a little Jackie Break. But, here it is!

There have already been a few changes made to this budget; namely, the $75 charge at the top was taken off (that was for the rehearsal, but we're not doing a rehearsal); and we also added 3 more bottles of cider and a town car for Chris and me to get to the DP at the GF.

However, I am SUPER stoked about this budget! Even though our wedding cake isn't on it yet (just the groom's cake), and no floral yet, we have roughly $1800 to play with before we reach our $10,000 pre-tax minimum. (And the Epcot photoshoot doesn't count towards our minimum.)

All of these food numbers are also based on 30 people, and we will most likely be having 25 guests, including ourselves, so that number could go down a bit.

All in all, it looks like we should be under budget. My dad gave me a budget of $12,000, and Chris's mom agreed to pay for the DP, which we told her would be $2,000, give or take a few hundred, and she was fine with that number. I am SO happy I get to keep our DP music AND photography! So, in other words, in my mind, I've been operating with a $15k budget, and we should be coming way under that--- which is great!!

I know some people don't like to discuss budgets, but I hope this really helps out a smaller Wishes wedding like us! (Or, really, anyone who is nosy and likes to see where money is being spent.)

As always, thanks for reading, lovelies!

Jackie sweetie - it looks like you have done an excellent job with your budget and I am sure that it will prove to other brides that it can be done!!! Well done hun!!!

Thanks for sharing! Even though I won't be having a Disney wedding, it is still helpful to see how everything breaks down and I imagine that if I were planning a Wishes Wedding this would be immensely helpful. Plus, I still have the dream of a vow renewal someday so by looking at this I can already start planning in my head ;)

That's so awesome that you are coming under budget!!! And while getting what you want!

On behalf of the nosey people ;) I thank you for sharing!!!

you budget looks amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!!! great job so far!!! thanks for sharing!!

I'm really glad you were able to keep to your budget! It looks really good, thanks for sharing!!! :thumbsup2

Yes I already have a slip... and it's not a small slip. :lmao: That's why I say we'll see. I'll try it on when I go for my dress fitting. If I feel like I just stepped out of my travel trailer as the new gypsy bride to be... I will def NOT be wearing it!! :rotfl2:

BTW, your budget is amazing!! I knew you could keep it under. I'm sure your floral will be reasonable. It's not like you have a whole lot things you need. Right? lol

Thanks, honey! I also wanted to let you know I read through all 5,000,000 pages of your PJ because I realized I hadn't. :D And I loved it! <3

Ha! I've already told Chris we're doing a DCL vow renewal! :lmao: I'm already thinking about it... no extras, nothing!

No problem! The only thing I'm not getting that I want is the coach... but I just don't think I can justify the price of it. I love it so much, but it's SO much money. I could get two WDW vacations out of $2850!

you budget looks amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!!! great job so far!!! thanks for sharing!!

Oohhh I want to see the slip! PICS! And I don't need too much floral, and luckily daisies are cheap, so it shouldn't be horrendous. But we shall see!

Oh, your dress :lovestruc So beautiful!

Oh thank you! <3

******************
So this is just a small, non-major update. School started again yesterday, and I'm already busy and stressed--- but I think I'm one of those people that gives myself stress. So it's manageable stress at least!

I've been getting stuff done for the wedding though. Awhile ago, Southwest Visa had a deal where if you sign up for their credit card, you got 50,000 rewards points--- so I jumped on it. My rewards points finally came through, and I was able to book my flight, Chris's flight, and my dad's flight for the wedding! Woohoo! :cool1: I always feel like it's not official until flights are booked, so now we're REALLY going.

I also just made an appointment for my first dress fitting--- September 24th! Hopefully I can lose a couple pounds before then... gotta get to the gym! I'm paranoid that the dress won't zip up. (I couldn't zip it on my own, so I put it over my head like a little kid would and it fit fine and all that--- no back fat!!! but I'm always nervous.)

And, I went to the Disney store over the weekend, and I picked up these little beauties:

I'm going to use the clutch as a wedding day purse, and I'm going to use the notecards for thank you cards for my bridal shower! I'm in love with all of the princess designer stuff, and I REALLY want the Ariel and Belle dolls, but I'm kind of 23 years old? So we will see...

Speaking of my bridal shower--- I'm going to CT for my shower on Friday night! All I know is the shower is Sunday; I don't know where it is or what time, or even who's going. I have a feeling they have something planned for Saturday too, but they're being all sneaky about it. And, thankfully, my dad is one of the seemingly few people in CT with power!

Hope you're all having a good week!

Love the clutch! I was thinking about buying that to use for my wedding day purse, but I decided I just don't wanna fuss with anything--but it's really great!!! I love how sparkly it is!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, and...you can't put an age limit on dolls. You're looking at the 23 year old with the LE Rapunzel doll, Cinderella Wedding Doll, Tiana singing doll, and Mulan and Shang classic dolls... :rolleyes1 (Let's just say I went a little carried away when my store closed...:lmao:)

I say if you have the money for them--buy the Designer Dolls you like! I'm SO buying the Mulan one!!! :lovestruc

I love that new stuff at the Disney Store! All of the dolls are beautiful - I wish I had the space to display one! When I saw them all displayed at my Disney Store I actually thought Pocahontas was one of the most beautiful ones. And the clutch is just too cute!

I'm new to the boards, and JUST starting to plan our DFTW. I just read your entire PJ and I wanted to say how much I love everything you have planned! Your dress looks amazing on you, truly gorgeous, I can't wait to see it after alterations! Your centerpieces are adorable too! I can't wait to see everything you have planned become real! Congrats and great job!

Sabrina

OMG I just had to wipe my drool off the floor that clutch is amazing!!! So vintage looking too, my total fav :)
