What time do Jack and Sally start their meet and greet, 700pm or 730pm? What time should we get in line so we don't spend so much party time waiting in line?

Last year was 7, though our night they came out around 7:15. We got in line about 5:00 and I think once they came out I waited 45 minutes. We brought a towel, sat and got to know our neighbors. They were great with guests and worth the wait! We left when the party was over, they were still there and line, while closed, looked to be 45 minutes more.

Smart to get to know the people in line with you. That's what we did at last year's Christmas party while waiting for the seven dwarves. My wife and I took turns taking our daughter to something while the other waited in line. When one got back with her, the other left to do something else with her. No issues getting back in line either.

You were in line at 5pm and still waited 45 min? How many people were in line ahead of you at 5 PM?

The line started at about 2 hours on our party night and stayed that way most of the night. We hopped in at 11:40 and didn't meet them until 1ish.

That is NOT good to hear... I got tickets for the party on Sept 9th, my daughter is a NBC fiend! I hate the thought of spending that much time on line, are all the party's that busy for this meeting? I'm hoping a Tues in early Sept won't be so busy....

Their line was that long at pretty much every party. Your best bet is to hop in line by 5 and be one of the first in the M&G. The late-night line is iffy because they closed the line at different times depending on the night.

It really doesn't help that their M&G is at the front of the park so everyone who enters sees them.

Or, that Jack & Sally just recently started appearing at MNSSHP, so even those who'd attended parties in the past will likely be waiting in line to meet them as well.

The lines for Jack and Sally get long, fast. We went to MNSSHP October of 2013 (20th maybe?) and the line was already forming around 4:30. There were even people already lined up for the parade. By 9:00 pm, the line for Jack and Sally was about a 4-hour wait. :/ If you're desperate to meet them for pictures, best to get in line early.
My DS 5 is a NBC fan, we hope to catch Jack and Sally this year. We missed out last year due to the long wait.

The line is the M&G between Guest Relations and Package pickup. The line queued strange right before characters around a planter and then zig zag left and right between the two buildings. Beyond the planter line we were in about the 5th zig ;). One of the issues is the characters talk and are great with people, it's actually fun to watch them with the people in front of you. So it's not a quick hello! Was well worth it to us.

Well ............ our wait was a Tuesday in early September.

Well, it is our last night in the parks, so I guess we will just line up when we get there and hope to be close to the front of the line, then maybe we will be done and free to enjoy everything else by 8 or so. Thanks for the info, I would not have imagined we'd need to line up so early!

So wish there was a way to see Jack and Sally during the normal park times, my daughter LOVES them! With the amount of NBC merchandise that is sold in WDW it seems there should be SOME sort of character presence!

Maybe I'll just get a pic of them either walking in or walking out. No way am I waiting that long for any character, especially during precious party time.

When i went in early October last year they were already people lining up at 4pm.

We went in October last year and my wife and I got on line just after 4. Yes, we were first in line (she LOVES J & S and seeing them was all she wanted to do the whole trip). However, we were not in line by ourselves for long. We sat and talked with some pretty awesome people while waiting. By about 6, the line was down to the sidewalk and by 7... well, it was much much longer.

We did spend the day in MK (the lines tend to be shorter). So by the time our BOG FP+ was ready we were pretty much done with the park. Sitting for those 3 or so hours (ok, I made 2 trips to Starbucks in that time) was a nice way to relax after touring all day and be rested enough for the night. It sounds crazy, but it was worth missing the 3 hours of park time in exchange for the 60-180 minutes of party time.

The night we went last year in early October, they came out right at 7:00 p.m. We got in line right at 5:30, and were at least 10 groups back. We had about a 20 minute wait once they came out. Our photopass photos indicated that we saw them at 7:22. By 6:00 the line was a lot longer and by 7:00 it was absolutely huge. I would recommend getting in line as close to 5:00 p.m. as you can. People with a kid or two were using place holders for the first hour and no one seemed to mind. I took DD to do some stuff while DH stayed there until about 6:30 when we joined him in line.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a pic of them walking in our out. They are in the covered area right next to guest services, and if I remember right they came out directly back there, so they were never out in the open. Again if I remember right, the line covers up most of the area in front of them.

I got in line right at 4 o'clock and was second in line. Going to start to get really long until 5 o'clock. My husband and son went on rides and ate dinner between four and seven, and they brought me food and relieved me once or twice for bathroom breaks. No one in line had a problem with them rejoining me at 6:50. We were done by 705 and on our way for the rest of the night.

If you don't mind staying up late... we went last year and they let us in line at 11:55pm. I was surprised they hadn't shut the line down yet. We were in line until 1:10am but well worth it just to see the happiness on my daughter's face when she finally met them!
