Ok, so everytime I go to download a song on iTunes it tells me i have to update iTunes. So i was like hey mom, i'm gonna update itunes (I usually have to tell my parents if i'm downloading something or uploading it). And my mom like flipped out, she thinks that I'm gonna end up deleting all of her songs and mine. So my question is, when you update iTunes does it keep all of your songs on there or what? I'm just a little confused.

Is it the same one that says that version x.xx is available do you want to download it? If so just press no. It has worked for me for about two years. I don't think that you songs will be deleted but better safe than sorry.

No, it's like telling me to upgrade to iTunes 7. But when i click upgrade it takes me to the ipod site and wants me to download it.

Yea that is what I was talking about. Just click no. Unless you want it.

Download iTunes 7, it's a lot better then the previous iTunes. Your songs will still be there. There are more features in iTunes 7.

iTunes 7 has alot of problems. Wait a bit until they fix them.

I literally just updated to itunes 7. I was afraid that it would delete my songs too, because one other time it wanted me to update, it told me that it would clear out my ipod and itunes. But this was fine, all my songs were still there..

I had to update to itunes 7 because i wanted to buy a song and it wouldnt let me unless i did update but i didnt loose any of my songs so you shouldnt either :thumbsup2
