It's the Spirit of the Season! You Can Feel it in the Air!

I am going to guess that my CRT outfit will be the same as most every other Disney day outfit - a cheap t-shirt, some cheap capris, and a pair of Crocs. I am one of the 'stylingist' ones around, as you know. ;)

Who knows if we will ever see Mingo again? I hope he is having fun wherever he is, and if he makes it home to us, I hope we are not too boring in comparison to living in Disney World, but I am not holding out much hope. He may escape again as soon as he gets a chance.

No, Trent would not give up his current job situation. We could all find our niches in Disney World, if it paid enough and if everyone could move down there. I would miss the Tennessee seasons, though. I love the fall, and even though I do not like winter after New Year's Day, I guess I better stick it out here. I have a job I hope to retire from in about five years, and then maybe I'll be moving to Alabama to spend more time with my girls. We'll keep Disney a fun thing rather than a work thing. It is a great experience as far as the College Program, so I hope that works out for your budding photographer. :thumbsup2
Not as exciting, but still stylin'. :cool1::goodvibes
I think Mingo knew that Disney is more fun than Bella's house and Bella will come to visit.
It's already spring down here. Being closer to the girls will be nice. I love having my mom and grandmother down here half the year. Disney would lose its magic, I think, if I worked there. If Emily worked there and tried to ruin the magic, I think I would just cover my ears.

It was 2:30 at this point and so we started making our way toward Main street for the 3:00 Christmas Parade. Did I mention it was really, really hot?! Starting to see a problem? A CM told me that the parade didn't come to Main Street until 3:30 that this one starts in Fronteir Land. Ugh! I made a mental note of that when planning but completely forgot. The girls wanted to go to the pool. We decided to have a snack and use a FP and then see what time it is.
Oh, and we stopped for Photopass Pics and had some magical shots done. Of course, the card was lost.:headache:

I bought fat free Klondike bars at Walmart yesterday. Not the same thing, but if you close your eyes, it works. But you're not in Disney, so it's not negative calories.
We had FPs for Mickey to use, but both the princesses and Mickey had a 10 minute line. I was willing to wait for princesses, but the girls weren't feeling it. (Mich went back to the hotel!)
At first the Mickey CMs didn't know where to put us with our FP but then we got to cut the whole line.
We were first in line and standing behind a closed door. A CM came out of the door and then there was a knock. The CM instructed us to ask who it is.

Mickey jumped out

AND

Grabbed MY hand and walked me to his meet and greet. I felt like I was 5 again. Priceless!
4632.jpg

More pixie dust! Minnie must of decided not to go shoe shopping with the Christmas Eve eve crowds because she was there too. Yay!

I like to go up with the girls, but then I hand my camera to the CM and don't get the best pictures. Oh well! Can't have your cake and eat it too. It was 3 at this point and the girls really wanted to leave. Fine, we can leave. Compromise. We had 3 more full days. I could make it back for the Christmas Parade, right?!
Bye MK! See ya later.

A YC/BC bus was waiting so we hopped on that and walked to the Dolphin. Emily and I went through the side and Amy went out through the BW and got back much faster. The whole way E was making a video about how guilty we should feel and how bad we are. :rotfl:
Back at the resort:

4654.jpg

Amy and I went to the pool while Emily and Mitch napped. E came down towards the end right as we were packing up and was annoyed. Then we all went upstairs and napped for our big night out. Everyone, except for Amy, who was doing a little art project kit they were handing out in the lobby. She had a growing collection of them. Cute little things like making a picture frame or a little scratch art stocking. We had a surprise when we came back up waiting in the room for us.
Coming up next:
What's the surprise? How do we spend our night? Is Amy o.k with out a nap.

I hope you ended up seeing the parade before you left.

OOH! What a great cliffhanger... need another update right now! =)

I hope you ended up seeing the parade before you left.
Unfortunately, we never saw the parade. I did see things that I wasn't planning on seeing, however. I really just went with the flow this trip and it ended up being the best trip ever. I'm not too sad that I missed it because it's not that long and I can always it on Youtube.
OOH! What a great cliffhanger... need another update right now! =)
Pictures are uploading to Photobucket right now!

On our way up to the room from the pool, we decorated cookies.

I'm not sure who the artist of this is, but don't judge a book by its cover.
When Emily and I were in the shower, (Having 2 showers was just magical)there was a knock on the door.
A surprise for the birthday girl.
5794.jpg

5793.jpg

So sweet of the Dolphin. Emily was on cloud nine.
We weren't sure about what we wanted to do on this evening. We could go to Epcot for EMH, DTD, DHS for Fantasmic, mini golf, go back to MK to our FPs. The possibilities were endless.
It was 5:15 when we left the room and we went down to the boat dock.
4656.jpg

We hopped on an Epcot boat and got off here.
4659.jpg

Amy really wanted to do the campfire and we all wanted to see the Beach Club, so this was perfect.
The campfire is on the BC beach, right under the slide. The campfire is complementary and there is no limit to the amount of marshmallows you could have. We weren't really hungry, just wanted to roast them.
5796.jpg

After the smores, we went into the Beach Club lobby to wash our hands from the marshmallow sticky-ness.
Then we went into the marketplace.
4661.jpg

4660.jpg

Amy has always been afraid to talk to strangers. She needed a new pin back and I read on the DIS that you can ask at the cash registers that they have them there. Amy wanted me to ask, but I made her do it. She was timid at first, but then her and the CM talked for about 10 minutes.

4668.jpg

We were in BC for about half an hour and then we decided from there to take a bus to the MK. It was about 6:10 at this point. The bus stop was crowded. People had been waiting for a while. After about 15 minutes, a MK bus came, but it was stuck at the gate. Two more buses came behind it. They were stuck for about a good 5 minutes. The MK bus finally made it's way in, dropped its guests off, and then left. The MK bus behind it was the one going to the MK.
4669.jpg

Hope Cindy wasn't late to the ball.
Finally at the MK:

Oh, and this was my first time EVER going bag-less. I used a Vera Bradley tech case, but other than that, tengo nada. I never used a bag at night, but brought it during the day and it was only used for autograph books.
It felt good to skip bag check.
Hello, my pretty.

Main Street was busy. It was around 7:00 and people had already parked themselves down for the 9:00 parade and there was an 8:15 Christmas Castle Show. I wanted to see that. I couldn't believe the crowds-- it had been empty during the day.
4676.jpg

4681.jpg

4684.jpg

We went to go use FPs for Pooh and waited a while even in the FP line. Maybe you wait now with the new-ish queue.

I had to go back and look at it! It is a good picture of her. She got braces since Disney.
********
I haven't been on the DIS lately as much as I would like to. Real life gets in the way. Mitch got home the other day after being gone on business for two weeks. I have been subbing a lot. Also, I am in the process of selling some of my art work. The kids activities keep me busy as well. Emily is on the school softball team. They had their first two games this past weekend and won both 21-1 and 13-2. She also just finished Driver's Ed! Thank goodness! Driving her there on time every Saturday morning at 8 was beginning to be the end of me. Amy had ortho surgery last week and made a great recovery. She is doing color guard for her school. Their choreographer is fantastic! All of the shows the choreographer does comes in first every week. Amy's school is no exception. My mom, her cousin, and Amy are going to Disney on Thursday and staying until Sunday. They're staying at Pop! I'm not sure what parks they're going to. My mom and her cousin are deciding because they never go. Amy has an AP and will be back many times so she is just tagging along. I am staying back and babysitting my 102 year old grandmother. It's the only way my mom can go and she does so much for me. E has too much going on with school and such to go. IK they're going to have a lot of fun. Today we booked our Chicago trip! We're going June 17-21. Mitch has a convention for work there and we're tagging along. Best part is we're flying for free with our miles. Then we'll come home for two weeks and Emily will have surgery during then before the girls go visit my mom in NJ for 3 weeks. I'm not sure about a summer Disney trip. It might be just too hot for me to enjoy. I'm looking at end of March, memorial weekend, summer, and end of september. We'll go for one or two of those and then of course Thanksgiving. Going to work on an update right now!

After Pooh, we hopped in line for Small World! I had been in Disney for over 24 hours and hadn't taken a ride on this happy cruise yet. Some people don't do IASW. I, on the other hand, have to. I am not in Disney World until I am on this. In 2008, when we returned to Disney after 6 years we were originally going to do dare I say Universal. It was half the price and we thought the kids might be too old for Disney. One night, I took a peak on the Disney website and the home page had a video of IASW. I was in tears and knew there was no way we were going to that other place. We might of also came to the MK just for IASW when we found out Emily was on the way. Hey, we were locals back then.
Back to the present, well the TR, anyway. The wait was about 5 minutes, but that was long enough for a meltdown. Amy felt that she was being dictated. (Remember, no nap for her!) She had a specific order in which she wanted to go on the rides, but it didn't make any sense. It was hopping around the park like a maniac and everyone's feet were tired. I told her that we're going to do the attractions based on where we are, but she could choose where we wanted to eat dinner. She then said she wanted to go around by herself. Not happening! She was unhappy for a little while. She really is such a sweet girl, just the day had caught up to her.
I think Mitch made her happy again by letting her record the ride on his new 4S. I apologize in advance for the amount of IASW pics.

Mitch and Amy were going to ride Space with FPs and Emily and I were going to use PP FPs, I think and get Big Thunder FPs. We were to meet up at Casey's for dinner.
You can't walk and not take pictures.

4738.jpg

After obtaining FPs, we went to Casey's where we ran into the crowds. It's 8:00 and there was a Celebrate the Season at 8:15 and Main Street Electrical at 9.
Hints of Christmas were everywhere.
5806.jpg

5805.jpg

I understand a little line for Casey's goodness, but 40 minutes? Nu-ugh. When half of your family is stuck on Space? No thank you! Each line had about 8 people in it. I hopped in a line and when I was second to next, the CM's register breaks and she says we have to get in the back of line for a different aisle. Casey's does not have a good system. They need to have a place where you order and then a separate place to wait, but they don't, so the order process is slow. I almost left, but I had waited so long and I had read about how good those corn dog nuggets were. I wasn't leaving with out them. Oh, and I stepped in gum! I thought gum and Disney didn't stick together. I ordered two nuggets and two fries. Went outside and yup, you guessed it, no tables. After waiting for 40 minutes! I was getting pretty annoyed. An older, local couple were resting their legs and they told us we could sit with them. We talked to them for half an hour. They were so sweet. They have APs and come about 20 times a year. We talked about where they live (used to live right by there) and Disney. Mitch and Amy finally got off Space and ate at Cosmic Ray's, so we had too much food.. The castle show started, but I couldn't see anything only hear. So much for the vision I had imagined. After, we met up with Mitch and Amy and started walking to Liberty Square where we noticed something special and it was only the beginning of the most magical night ever!
Amy is going to Disney in 12 hours!

Yay for Amy going to Disney World today! :woohoo:

I always love seeing lots of Small World pictures. :goodvibes

That was nice of the couple to let you share their table. I bet they make new Disney friends many times when they are there.

Love all your photos! Christmas at Disney is the best! How Fun!!!
Thanks for joining in! I love Christmas at Disney

They're having a great time! They're in Pop at the 80s. They checked in yesterday and had dinner at the Poly took a bus to the BW, walked around, and then took a boat to Hollywood to get back to Pop. Amy called me and asked me how to get back because a CM told them to go to DTD. They went to the MK today and got there 45 minutes after 8 AM rope drop. Not sure how their day went because we keep playing phone tag. Tomorrow they are headed to Epcot. I always love talking to people at Disney. They're always so nice and it makes the time go by faster. While in line for Soarin', we were talking to for half an hour and then the mom tried to set her son up with Emily. :lmao:

I'm guessing E took these.

4738.jpg

There was 10 minutes before the start of the parade. We knew it was too late to get seats, we were just trying to get out of the way of the parade path. We cut through Liberty Square and to my surprise it was pretty much empty. The area was layered with one row across. There was a family sitting on a bench and there were a few yards of empty floor in front of them. I asked if they mind if we sit there and they said it was ours if we agreed to stay seated. YAY! Guess we're seeing the parade. I was filming with the iPhone with one hand and taking pics on my camera with the other. I'm sure I was a sight.

Peter and Elliot came by and a little girl yelled really loudly "Who are you?" LOL. Peter explained himself and then said "Elliot, the last time you rang that bell, those people thought you were ringing their door bell. I know it's a nice bell, but you can't ring it."
4793.jpg

This was my first time seeing the parade. I enjoyed, but I'd rather Spectro come back. It's just more Disney to me. Oh, and if Hollywood wanted to have a parade with Mickey in it then that would be nice. RIP Stars and Motor Cars.
We had about 20 more minutes before the fireworks and the we were right in front of Country Bear Jamboree, so we went inside.
These folks must like it.
4798.jpg

When we went out for the night, we were planning on coming back at around 9:30 because we were all tired. Then it became let's see the fireworks at 10.
I have to say these are the most talented bears I have ever seen.

Country Bear was empty. On our way out, we had Picos to ourselves and yup, there was blood again. There was blood everywhere. On our trip two years ago, there was blood everywhere and my family felt obligated to sing that information through an empty Liberty Square. They did not forget about their song and sang it again. Looks like we're making this a tradition. Note to self: see CBJ alone.
We got out and Christmas Wishes had just started, we had a perfect view, and there was only two other families there wish us. Truly magical. I had watched Christmas Wishes every night since November 1st, so I was ecstatic to see it in person.

There was one thing stopping us from leaving.......

AN EMPTY PARK! Everything was walk-on. We weren't too tired to enjoy an empty theme park. We split up and DH and I did Haunted Mansion, Peter, and Pooh. Emily and Amy did Splash twice (crazies! It was in the 60s!) and Big Thunder three times. They stayed on Splash and they said that for Big Thunder, you get off and then you quickly walk back to the front again. They made friends doing this. We met back up and did IASW again.
We befriended a CM and she was saying this is her first Christmas because she is doing CP, but her friends were saying they have never seen Christmas crowds so low. It feels like September.
These have to be Emily's. Only she takes reflections.

4849.jpg

We now only had 10 minutes until closing. We walked with passion over to Buzz and got done at 11:56. 4 minutes until closing. Amy and Mitch walked on Space. I was going to meet them in the front of the park, but Emily said she was craving some Jungle Cruise. We REALLY walked with passion and my daughter might of been jogging at one point to get to our destination. Good thing we're both in shape. Two years ago on our last night with our Season Passes, we got off of Buzz and walked quickly to something else and we were too late. I can't even begin to explain the feeling of walking through an empty Magic Kingdom. We didn't pass a soul. I felt like I was in the Kingdom Keepers. We got to JC as the CM was counting down from 10. We made it! Our cruise consisted of me, Emily, and a young couple. That was it. So fun and magical. Before we could leave, the boat behind us had to be dropped. It was interesting to see the CM actually drive the boat and make it go backwards. Our empty cruise was so much fun. The CM relied on me to complete his lines. He said if you don't believe me you're in.....?
Denial.
Nope, disbelief. Stick to your lines, buddy. He did that at another point too. It was so funny. We really enjoyed it. It was our favorite cruise ever. We got off JC and the park was officially closed. We had such a magical night. There was Epcot EMH on this night and it was super crowded. I'm glad we decided to come to MK--12:00 is late enough for me.

Leaving the Magic Kingdom or anything Disney related, for that matter, is always a process.

You and me both know you can't just walk out.

You have to take pictures or shop. You might even have to say goodbye to a Disney friend, but I guess Mickey and the gang were long out. It was almost 12:30. Yes, I know, we're crazy.
Speaking of crazy, I was watching the news the other morning and I became inspired. A couple did everything at both MKs on One More Disney Day! Don't you want to be just like them? :rotfl:
It honestly got me thinking to when and how I'm going to do both Magic Kingdoms in one day. Come on, kids. Between the two of you, one HAS to go college in Orlando.
:flower3:

I highly doubt Emily wants this picture of her on the internet, but I think it's hysterical. In her defense, I was trying to take a picture of her jumping in the air.
4861.jpg

Emily still had plenty of energy and the park closed too early for her, while Amy, on the other hand, I thought we were going to have to carry her out of the park. Remember, she was too cool for a nap on this day.

The bus stops were pretty empty and the buses were just taking whoever had people. The people in front of us had gotten MS bakery to go. Smart people. I'll have to remember that for leaving on late nights.
Not even 2 minutes after we got to the room
5830.jpg

She stayed like this until morning.
It was 1:00 and we had an 8 AM rope drop planned for the next morning.
Coming up next: What do ya mean you don't want to go to Hollywood?!

Great update! I love the jumping picture of Emily, she looks so happy! The picture of Amy on the bed is hysterical. Can't wait to hear about the next morning, though!

Loving your TR so far, can't wait to see all the Christmas Magic in person!
I will tell you tho, that my DD knows the original Christopher Robin and Pooh. We own both movies but she loves the original :lovestruc The new one she'll watch for about 5 minutes then grab the other DVD case and go "Pooh, Pooh, Pooh" while handing it to me.

The 'dead on the bed' picture is funny. That's us some nights, too. ::yes::

I would love for them to bring back Stars and Cars!

And Spectro is supposedly coming back later this year! :cool1:
