It's the Spirit of the Season! You Can Feel it in the Air!

5326.jpg

We enjoyed it as always. Did anybody see the Muppets on the Bachelorette this week? We are big Bachelor watchers. Well, we as in the kids and I, not Mitch. LOL. We just rented the Muppets and LOVED it. We all fell in love with them again. Great movie and I heard they are making another one. I like that they brought the Muppets back.

5328.jpg

Amy made a pin trade. Somebody went to go get FPs for the Little Mermaid.
5329.jpg

5330.jpg

5331.jpg

It wasn't quite cold enough for snow, but we managed to make a snow man.
5334.jpg

This must be what Santa does the day after Christmas.
5335.jpg

5336.jpg

We went to one of our favorite CSs for lunch.
5337.jpg

5339.jpg

5340.jpg

The whole restaurant was empty. Granted, it wasn't even 11 yet. We split some pizzas and meatball subs. The CM let Amy order hot chocolate as her drink that come with the kids meal. While we were eating, she managed to knock it over and it spilled all over Mitch's arm. I dove my hand into the ice water to put on his arm. The girls didn't help because they were too busy laughing. A CM came to clean it up and brought Amy ANOTHER hot chocolate. She had to move away to drink it. LOL.
5342.jpg

5343.jpg

5344.jpg

We used our FPS for the Little Mermaid.
We got out at exactly 11:56 discussed what we should do next. I suggested the 12:00 American Idol. Mitch and Amy did not want to do it, so I said we could split up. We then talked about for a minute and they decided they would come, too. When we got there, the doors had JUST closed. We decided to stay for the 1:00 show. Let's see, what to do for the next hour?
We had TSM FPs that were just burning holes in our pockets.
5346.jpg

5347.jpg

Mitch and Amy went to go use FPs for TOT and RNRC. Amy chickened out of RNRC again.
Meanwhile, Emily and I went to One Man's Dream.

5352.jpg

5353.jpg

My camera died while I was in there. Thank goodness for the iPhone.
We left OMD and did some shopping and watched the street entertainment. SO funny! I could watch them all day. We then met back up with Mitch and Amy for American Idol.

One girl had plenty of experience singing as she is usually the star of the school plays back home. The other two singers had their background music really loud to tune them out.
We went back to the resort after AEI where we took naps. I thought about going to AK for the parade, but I took one look at the wait times on my phone and saw how crazy it was there.
How would we spend the last night?

I went to go look at the tip boards and I saw the tips of MeMom and her crew's heads leaving Starring Rolls.

You should have texted us to stop in our tracks! Sorry we didn't get to meet.

I am looking forward to seeing the new Fantasyland display in One Man's Dream this time.

Hi Guys!
It's Emily! I've been lurking here on the DIS for a while and finally decided to make an account! Wow, my mom hasn't updated here TR in almost 2 months! (Thumbs down for her!) Once, I get 10 posts I'll do a couple updates and try to finish it up.

I thought I would register for the DIS as soon as finals have ended, but we've all been extremely busy. Amy and I are volunteering at a preschool and we love it. In fact, it's the same preschool Amy went to. It feels like she was there yesterday and now she's going to the same high school (I'm going to be a Junior and am so excited to be an upperclassmen finally!) as me. Where does time go! Oh, one day at the preschool, I was in the 4 room and they were watching Peter Pan while getting changed from Splash Day. I think I was a little more excited than the kids when Peter Pan came on! PP is my absolute favorite disney character. I think we both have a lot in common. I haven't met him before, but next trip, watch out! If Wendy is there, I might just have to ask her to get out the way so I can get a picture alone with Pan. Or I can just crop her out.

Also, I'm elgible for my driver's liscense tomorrow, but this has been a battle. My Dad is on team liscense, but my Mom is a little hisitant. Speaking of my parents, guess where they're on the road to as I speak! Did you guess Disney? Ding! Ding! Thumbs up for you! My Mom's birthday is Monday and she decided that waking up on the happiest place on Earth would be nice. They're only staying 3 nights at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. They were going to stay at Carribean Beach, but then my Mom found out the HBC has a lazy river and she was sold. No big deal because we're all going in the beginning of August!

Right now, Amy and I are at my grandmother's house in NJ. We go every year for about 2-3 weeks. We leave next week. So far, we've had a great time. We've been to the city a few times, saw some cousins, went to the mall, and we were also in the live audience for America's Got Talent.

Adios for now!

Here's my first update. My updates will be in green because my mom uses my favorite color, purple. Green is nice because Peter Pan wears green.
Tonight was our last night in Disney! Is there anything more depressing? I think not! I’m usually crying at some point on the last night but on this night it didn’t feel real. I couldn’t convince myself that I would be living this holy world the next day. I wanted to go wild this night. Go big or go home! After all, we did take long naps.

We went over possible scenarios about how to spend our evening. My Dad suggested we go over to Hollywood to use our TSM FPs and see the lights since he hadn’t seen him yet. I was for that bc DHS is my favorite park, but MK is my all-time favorite. I mean that castle- need I say more? Amy and my Mom wanted to start the party at DTD and they won, so we went there. We decided to take the car, so we wouldn’t be waiting around for the bus. This was our first time touching the car since we arrived. It started the transition to departure. We were going in our car, but we didn’t have to leave. I can handle that. I don’t want to hurt the car’s feelings, but I think she knows she’s no where near as wonderful as a Disney Bus. Oh well, she tries.

The carline to pull into the DTD parking lot was very long. This could not be a good sign. I like DTD, but I would of preferred to be in DHS, so I was going to let Amy and my Mom know their plan was a fail if it was. We finally found a parking space on the West Side and went in search of dinner. Rookie mistake! I suggested we have dinner at the resort, so we wouldn’t have to worry about it once we got to DTD. Listen learned: Emily knows best. Emily is always right. Even when I’m wrong, I’m still right.

Can’t you just picture Stacy walking through? I love her! She’s my hero.
5361.jpg

I’m sorry, but you could not pay me here to go up there. Soarin’ is about as high as I go.
5363.jpg

Look at these crowds!
5366.jpg

We were in search of food, but came up dry! I mean there was food, good food, and lots of it, but the lines were nuts. Earl of Sandwich (Those people sure know how to make a sandwich! Yum!) was out the door. It was hard to navigate around DTD. We were hungry, but decided to shop first, because, well ya know. We sure have our priorities straight!

World of Disney was wall to wall crowds. We got split up several times. Of course, WOD has no phone connection. My Mom would find Amy and tell her to stay at XYZ to go find me. Amy would see me and then go after me. It took a while until we were all united. I found a few goodies and I had a gift card from my birthday that was just burning a whole in my pocket and it was cold out, but the lines to pay were nuts. My dad insisted we leave. First we don’t use our TSM FPs and now I come home with money left on a Disney gift card. Isn’t that illegal?! I have since used the gift card the other day to order Amy and I each a pair of mickey ears online to wear in August. It’s my first pair! I know! I know! I was a deprived child. Oh, and I never had a Disney balloon either. Call the cops! Hehe!

We left DTD empty handed and with empty stomachs. I kept true to my word and let my Mom and Amy know their plan was a fail. We then went off site for dinner! Come arrest us, Mickey! We went to the Crossroads and ate a place called “Flippers.” It was a pizza place. My parents remembered eating there when we lived in Orlando and said the food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of things to share with the thought that we would have leftovers for the next day to eat for lunch before we left. The portions were very small and we left empty handed.

The service was slow too and I think I cook better. That is a HUGE insult to the food because my cooking is, well, interesting. Amy can school me in cooking any day. I think a rat can. I almost always forget about the food when it’s cooking. I can, however, make broccoli. I guess I’ll be living on broccoli when I move out. I need to marry a chef. Oh, and that chef needs to propose in Disney.
Amy and my Dad at dinner.
5369.jpg

We drove back to the holy world and we were laughing about how big of a fail the night was. It was only 9, so the night was still very young in my book. We went to the front desk and got all new room keys because most of them weren’t working. Amy and my Mom are queens at de-magnetizing their room keys and park tickets. They then mix up the good keys with the bad ones, so we had no idea which ones worked. My mom wanted to take a nap first before heading off to the Magic Kingdom, but I suggested we just go now. The MK was open until 3 AM with EMH and I planned on staying for the entirety of it. Go big or go home, baby! We waited a while for an MK bus. While waiting, many busses for DTD came. I almost wanted to warn the people not to go. Almost is the key word.

We pulled up to the MK right as Christmas Wishes was starting. Amy was content just watching it from outside the park. Umm, no, Amy! Go big or go home. I rushed into the park because I wanted to see it on Main Street. I then realized I had Amy’s ticket, so I had to leave and go give it to her.
5370.jpg

We were all a little grumpy because it our last night and it wasn’t going very well so far, but walking down MS fixed that. When you have a bad day don’t you just want to walk down MS? I know I do! That is reason 101 why I must go to college in Orlando.
Back to wishes! It was my first time seeing it on MS because, well… you know.
Ahh!
5371.jpg

5376.jpg

5377.jpg

5378.jpg

Yes, I did find it necessary to post all of those pictures. You’re welcome!
Coming up next: Will how the crowds die? Will we last all night?

Continuing on from Main Street.
I’m pretty sure this was my first time seeing the MK tree because we usually go for Thanksgiving and it goes up after. I mean I went for my first New Year’s Day, but I was just 5 weeks old. Yes, I love my parents. This baby did not disappoint.
5380.jpg

This , right here, my friends, is the reason we do not watch Wishes, parades, and sort of formal gathering on Main Street.
5381.jpg

Craziness, I tell ya.
We escaped to the gift shops to dodge the crowds and we um like our shopping.
5382.jpg

5383.jpg

5384.jpg

5386.jpg

These pics are from the MS Bakery but I left Disney again with MS virginity. I think the line was too long. We saw the treats but weren’t able to eat anything. Cruelty, I tell ya. MS bakery is high on my list for next time. As is Starring Rolls for the Red Velvet Cheesecape Cupcake. That’s 3 of my favorite things in one treat. Trouble dessert wammy.
5387.jpg

5388.jpg

Oh my goodness! It’s snowing on Main Street. It was still so crowded, though. I think I was the only one who gave two flying carpets about the snow. I guess everyone else was thinking “I need to get out of Emily’s way.” LOL. Well, I think their minds were preoccupied with that.
Pretty Disney flowers. Everything in Disney is pretty in my opinion.
5391.jpg

Crystal Palace is high on my list of buffets to go to. I think I want to go to Chef Mickey’s first though. It’s been a little too long since we’ve been there. Amy’s 4th birthday I think and she’s turning 14 in a few weeks. Yea, I know. Shame on us.
5392.jpg

Heading on into..
5394.jpg

Mom decided we needed to do Swiss Family Treehouse. It was still crowded and she thought this would be a good place to hang out until the crowds died down a little more. We hadn’t done this in years. If you’ve never done it before, it’s no big deal. You climb up, look down, climb back down. I personally think there should be an escalator. I’ll be o.k if I don’t do this again until I have kids and that’s going to be a little while since I’m only 16.
5396.jpg

5398.jpg

Looking down.
5400.jpg

5401.jpg

Next, we went flying with Aladdin and Jasmine. They are one of my favorite Disney Couples. They are just too cute. I always love when Aladdin says something like “Jasmine thinks I’m the brightest star in the sky. Now that’s a dream come true in the 3:00 parade. Swoon. Also, when Mickey tells Minnie “You’ve always been a princess to me, Minnie. So cute! Speaking of love, He needs to propose in Disney or else, I ain’t saying yes.
Moving on.

You should have texted us to stop in our tracks! Sorry we didn't get to meet.

I am looking forward to seeing the new Fantasyland display in One Man's Dream this time.
Hopefully our trips will overlap again some day! I never made it into One Man's Dream this trip. Next time for sure! I also still didn't see Beauty and the Beast. We did visit your POP, though. Amy was acting like our tour guide since she stayed there earlier this year.
Great family picture! :)

Can't believe how empty the park looks. Where are all the people?

Enjoy your birthday trip to Disney! :):)

Thank you! Everybody would be arriving the next day when it was time for us to leave. We had a great time. We spent a lot of time at the resort and only went to the parks for a few hours because we knew we would be back 10 days later.
**************
Sorry I've been MIA. I think I have a good reason thought- I was in Disney TWICE! DH and I went just the two of us July 21-24 and then with the girls August 3-8. We had a great time both trips! I need to finish this TR so I can start the August one! It already has a title, I think. "You guys are looking at me like I'm your executioner"! or maybe "This bathroom is so big you can get married in here!" Which one do you guys like better?

Thanks Emily for doing some updates. It's going to be fun writing the TRs together.
Mr. Camel was turned off on this night.
5410.jpg

We went on the JC for the third time in one trip. For once I didn't laugh at any of the corny jokes. I guess you start to lose your appreciation for them after so many times. It's still one of my faves, though!
5413.jpg

That guy on the bottom is Ohantus. I've been telling him all day he can't outrun a rhino. He'll get the point... in the end.
5424.jpg

You think it's water... It's snot.
5428.jpg

We saw the MSEP again.

Serpants and Ghoolies from last Halloween, awaken the spirits with your tambourine.
5452.jpg

It was now midnight and EMH had just started. We got the party started with IASW.
5455.jpg

5456.jpg

Getting a table overlooking IASW wasn't an issue at this hour.

We were all getting tired at this point, so we headed over to MS Bakery to refuel.

5475.jpg

5476.jpg

The line was long and Amy wanted to go back to the resort, so we decided to throw the towels in and call it a night.
Again I left without MS Bakery. And again this trip. Sigh. I did, however, try a dole whip and Starring Rolls. Yum!

Come on over! The party is just getting started!:goodvibes
What happened to finishing this TR first, Honey? :confused3:goodvibes
Thanks for starting it, though. Interesting title! I don't think any one is going to know where the title comes from.
********
For the record, the words "You guys are looking at me like I'm your executioner" did NOT come out of my mouth.:goodvibes
