IT'S OFFICIAL!!!****OCTOBER 2014****...ROLL CALL!! Join the party!

We're going October 18-24. This will be me and my husband's second time there. Going with two sisters and a brother-in-law. My eldest sister and her husband have been there 25+ times. Also meeting some cousins from back east who i have not seen in 20 years. It will be so nice. My eldest sister is in the DVC, so she is covering our rooms at the Boardwalk Villas.

All booked up at POP this October!! We'll be visiting from the 14th to the 21st!

Ok, I'm ready to jump in! We are going Octobet 11-15! Right now we are booked at Shades of Green but hoping to change that to on property.

Hi, this is my first post:wave2:

October 18-25th
Port Orleans-Riverside
First trip to the World for DH, DD9, and DD6 I am so excited for them:cheer2:

Welcome everyone!! Looking forward to reading your plans the next few months!! :goodvibes

So, we don't have any set plans yet except for the first day!

Tues 10/21:
Arrive Beach Club around noon or 1:00 (knock wood). Check in, go to room if ready, if not go to Boardwalk Bakery for a lobster roll! :hyper: If room is ready, still go to Boardwalk Bakery for a lobster roll! :rotfl: Then hit Epcot and ride Spaceship Earth, and then we plan to have an evening fast pass for Soarin', and then a late dinner at Via Napoli. Then back to the hotel for some cocktails.

Wed: I can't imagine it would be anything other than the Magic Kingdom, but it also depends on when we go to the Halloween Party...I'm hoping for that Thursday or Sunday. Then Food/Wine at night

Thurs: Animal Kingdom? I loove this park, will spend all day there. Then Food/Wine at night. :rotfl: (sensing a pattern?)

Fri: The Studios...then food/wine....you know the drill!

as for all the other days...no clue! and that's how we like it! :scratchin

Touringplans.com Has the predicted hours and crowd levels for each park, daily. ;)
Thanks... I have to buy a subscription though to see it, correct? (I know we talked about this before, lol, I just didn't know if I had to subscribe for the crowd cal/park hours part of the website too)

You know, while you are there you should really try the food & wine festival... I think ya just might like it! ;)

Yes, to get access to all the info you do have to buy the subscription, its about $12 a year. I used them last trip and found the crowd calender alone to be worth the money, I was able to decide which day to go to which park based off the low crowds and it worked perfectly. Every morning we'd be the only family in our bus line and the crowds would be lined up for the other parks! :thumbsup2

Actually, now that I think about it, we may avoid it Friday and Saturday night, too crowded. Hopefully one of the other parks will be open late those nights, or maybe we can do the Halloween party on the Friday and have a later dinner Saturday night at one of the resorts...we'll see!

All year to plan, change plans, go back to first plan, start all over! :lmao:

Looking good! If we were staying next to Epcot we would be doing the same thing. It will be so nice for you to pop over so easily for F&W! And just as easily to pop out if its too busy.

Since people are posting their plans so far, here is the first draft of mine :)

October 19th -Arrive at POP from Loew's RPR, probably around 4 or 5 pm. Unsure what we will do that night, either relax at the hotel, go to DTD, or use FP+ for our first taste of a park that evening.

October 20th- MK EMH AM, possibly using FP+ later in the morning/early pm

October 21-DHS EMH AM with FP+ and either lunch or dinner at Sci Fi Drive in theater, DTD in the evening

October 22-probably Busch Gardens today

October 23-EPCOT EMH AM, Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon, DTD evening

October 24- Shopping at mall/outlet, EPCOT late PM w FP+

October 25-Sleep in a little,Waterpark mid-am to early pm, then MK around 3:00 pm with FP+ to do a few favourites, but we will probably mostly concentrate on parades/character meets/getting scenic pictures

October 26: Sleep in, waterpark afternoon, DHS late pm with FP+

October 27:AK rope drop, waterpark afternoon, late entry to MK with FP+ and BOG dinner

October 28-Depart POP by approx 10:00 am to get to airport on time :(

The bolded items are set in stone, as we want to utilize morning EMH for each park except AK. Everything else is pretty much the right combination, but the days could change. Alot of it is based on park hours/crowd levels from Touring Plans.

Oh man, my schedule seems so tamed compared to yours! Never considered doing water parks in the am and parks in the pm. Hmmmm....

You can also look at undercovertourist.com and easywdw.com for free crowd calendars. Lots of good park planning advice at easywdw, and humorous blogs. One of my favorites. :thumbsup2

Not only are we going (me, husband and two sons) but we have recruited 9 more to go too. My Mom, Sister (maybe her husband), my brother, my mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law and one more sister-in-law and her two pre-teen children. We have tried to get everyone to go at the same time for over a decade and it is finally going to happen. The best part is that my husband's side of the family has never gone to WDW so this will be their first time. We are so excited for them (and for us). Only problem now is trying to make dining reservations for 13!!! :drive:
