I've been subscribed for a while, but its finally official!!! Dates : October 28-November 4th @ Beach Club. 2nd trip for DH and 1st trip for the kids who will be 8 and 4. I'm so excited!!!

We are heading to the World Oct 17-24th. Celebrating my birthday and our daughter's first trip, she isn't even born yet but we can't wait to bring her. Our son is 3 and this will be his third trip. Staying at CBR, looking forward to MNSSHP and Food and Wine.

New here! We're planning our first family trip October 19-25 and will be staying in the Nemo Suites at AOA.

So new first day thoughts...

We arrive Beach Club hopefully by 12:30 (knock wood). Originally I thought we would eat at Boardwalk, unpack, head to Epcot with a Soarin fast pass and then eat at Via Napoli.

Now I was thinking maybe we'd check in and relax for a bit, then head to Downtown Disney around 1 or 2 for a couple hours, take a boat ride to POR (check out resort), jump on bus to Epcot from there - possibly ride Spaceship Earth, single rider line for Test Track (if time before dinner) and then dinner at Via Napoli at around 8pm? We can fast pass Soarin another day.

I figure it would be a good time to hit Downtown Disney - a Tuesday afternoon, shouldn't be super crowded?

Thoughts? Suggestions welcome!!

So I'm a bit jealous of the September board members right now! How much longer do you think it will be before they officially release October hours?

Are they out now for September?! Thats exciting cause that means we're next but disappointing that its not us yet! lol I believe I've heard it'll be mid-marchish for October. Not sure though, I'm sure one of the lovely October peeps will post that its out and the stampede will occur. lol

Hmm...how early are you getting up that day? If you don't think you'll be tired to do DTD and then bit of Epcot that would work, especially if you don't have a DTD day planned elsewhere. Otherwise might be nice to not stress about getting from DTD to Epcot and just relax around the park and the room is only a hop away for a snooze/pool time.

We always fly out early, as long as we're back in room by 10 or so, we're good to go for the next day!

I'm sure we'll meander at DTD and sit for a drink (or two), so it won't be hectic, running around.

Who knows, I'll change my mind until the day I get there!

lol, well sounds like either plan will work out just fine either way! And you're right it will probably change a few times in the next 7 months (ugh), but thats part of the fun (I'm trying to enjoy the disney anticipation rather then wish it away cause it'll be a few years until i get to feel it again! )

I changed my res to arrive on OCt 11th and ASMo (not ASWo )

However, I posted in another thread, I am really thinking of moving it to a week later because of Columbus Day week crowds... I don't know it it would be less crowded a week later or to just keep what I have.... also a better chance at free DDP/discount.

If you are hoping for free dining, I would definitely push it back, but you can wait until the offers are released. The crowds should be lighter the later in October you go, too.

We go every October (and do MNSSHP once per trip). We have only gone once with hoppers out of the last 5 years, and always have a fabulous trip. It is a great time of year to go.
