It's Official...IT'S PALIN

If you didnt want the child, then you should not have went through the motions. Like a good little American, you want to pass the buck. Instead of taking responsibility and dealing with the consequences of your actions, you want to blame someone else.

Tell you what, if you get pregnant and are thinking of aborting, PM, I'll adopt that precious little bundle of joy.

I AM PREGNANT NOW AND IT'S PLANNED! I AM KEEPING THE BABY!

Amazing how people don't read posts. I just hope all caps is enough for those with poor reading comprehension skills.

If they win, I guess her husband us going to have to be Mr. Mom.
She has young children, and I feel sorry that their mother will not be around much. Being governor is a lot different that being VP, with all the traveling and being out of the home.

Patronize much?

Good thing for Obama and the people who support him that front page headlines aren't what we care about. We're thinking 5, 10 and 20 years into the future. Headlines don't make a country come back from financial ruin. Plans for the future that involve everyone working together as Americans do.

With this choice of a young mother of five who's only experience as a leader has been a one-term token woman governer of a cash-rich, low-population state, an Obama/Biden Administration is in the bag now.

A grateful country thanks you, John! :cheer2:

 Oh no you didn't!?!? I would bet the wheels would come off if someone said that about Obama. Not the women or the Govenor part...

Cash rich is bad? Who knew.

Do you know how many working moms there are in the world? How many high-powered working moms who have to travel there are in the world? That's the mindset that will keep the glass ceiling from ever breaking.

She's been MAYOR! And a governor for 18 months.

Hardly qualifications to be POTUS.

Even McCain's inside advisers are complaining!

She has more executive experience than Obama. Granted McCain could have picked someone with 15 years experience with Congress, but we want change in Washington - not the same old BS.

If being a governor doesn't qualify one to be POTUS their is no way being a mere senator qualifies one either don't you think? Using that logic none of the 4 are qualified then correct?

I agree. I don't like people criticizing Palin for being Gov. and wanting to be VP with young children. It's a non-issue.

Does that offer still stand if the precious little bundle of joy is coming from a homeless crack user? Or a 13 year old African American child who experimented with sex? Or an HIV-positive mother who's still using drugs so the precious little bundle of joy comes out addicted? Do you have the health insurance and finances to cover all those medical bills (not to mention the room in your house) for the thousands upon thousands of "precious little bundles of joy" you're going to be receiving?

Indeed.

You've got to wonder if a woman with small children was running on the Democratic ticket. She'd be hailed as a, wait for it...

MAVERICK!

:rotfl:

I was one of those people. A republican that knew abortion was not a choice for my family. But who was I to say what was the right choice for another family?

Then, at 30 weeks of gestation (3 weeks into the third trimester) my wife's water broke and she and was life-flighted to Denver where my DS was born. We spent 7 weeks in the NICU and I saw babies. Babies born as early as 25 weeks. Babies that could have been legally aborted. It was a life-altering, watershed time for me and my wife. It forced me to come to the realization that it's not about a "choice" It really is about a baby. And those babies deserve to be protected. The will to live by those fragile little babies is tremendous and inspiring. For me, it has nothing to do with religion. It has nothing to do with choice. It's a baby. And I have have seen them up close and personal. I challenge anyone to spend time in a NICU and still think it's OK to terminate those lives just because they are untimely or unwanted.

Your story has really touched me (and not in the creeping Chris Matthews sort of way). Thank you for sharing.

Yep. She's the ENEMY of women.

She's the ENEMY of women. Oh nuts, I guess I didn't get the memo when you were nominated to be the spokesperson for all women.

She's been a governor for about 20 minutes. in a state with little population.

It's hardly great experience.

I haven't read any of the other posts, but I just have to say....
BRILLIANT! I am now officially UNDECIDED again. I can't wait for the debates!!!!! :thumbsup2

People don't adopt those children, typically. I worked at an adoption agency that discounted black or bi-racial (one black parent) babies. Nobody wanted them, we were turning away black birth mothers. One adoptive couple even returned a biracial baby because it wasn't fully Caucasian. I spoke to the man the baby was placed with and at first I thought he was saying the child had some horrible disease or some physical disability. He kept saying "the baby looks all right to me." Of course he did, he was perfectly healthy and light-colored. He didn't "look" black yet.
