The McCain campaign has confirmed it's SARAH PALIN!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo:

I think he made a great choice.:thumbsup2

One way or another....history will be made in November. Wow!

wow you guys are fast. I agree great choice. i saw her on a news program the other day and thought...where the heck has she been all this time!

Five kids
Husband is a working slob (fisherman and oil fields)

Sounds like she can identify with us working people.

Palin is a good strong conservative pick, however I think if you would have asked half the country before the election if they had ever heard of her you would say no way. Bad choice for this reason. But I guess the same could be said of Messiah Barack except he has no experience to back it up.

Hmm, I believe this is the first smart choice McCain's made in regards to his campaign. A lot of Hillary supporters just want a woman in the white house, regardless of where they stand on the issues, unfortunately. It will give the impression that he actually "cares" about women's rights.

From Wikipedia-

On September 11, 2007, the Palin's son Track joined the Army. Eighteen years old at the time, he is the eldest of Palin's five children. Track now serves in an infantry brigade and will be deployed to Iraq in September.

I was so hoping that it would be Romney or Lieberman (I'm a democrat).

Palin is a very exciting pick and to me it indicates that McCain's campaign is cognizant that they have to take big risks if they want to win in this electoral environment. The combined ages of the democratic and republican tickets are now within 4 years of each other.

I am sure the four years she served as a City Council member will serve her well in the White House.

I was an undecided independent, but now I am leaning to McCain and Palin!

Beautiful play by the McCain camp... They kept things under wraps until the last minute and drove the press crazy. No leak, and Palin's spokesperson threw in a "she's going to the State Fair" head-fake. It's knocked Obama's speech off of the front page in a big way.

Seems like a good choice, and McCain's locked up the "Hockey Mom" vote big time!!! ;) The only question is: "House" or "Travel"?

My only hope is that McCain's team vetted her well enough and she doesn't turn into the GOP version of the last woman to get on a ticket: Geraldine Ferraro. I know that Alaska has a pretty big "political swamp".

Probably not as much as being a "community organizer" (i.e. protestor). It's something at least.

No, I don't believe that is a fair statment about women voters.
