It's Official...IT'S PALIN

You mean the right-to-kill-babies-vote?

You know, I'm a pregnant woman, and it's surprising to me how much MORE my condition makes me pro-CHOICE and how much I despise myself for being a pro-lifer at one time. I wasn't pro-life, I was anti-choice. Right-to-kill-babies, my left ovary.

It's my body, and I'm choosing to be pregnant. A few short weeks ago it would have been my legal right to have an abortion. My choice.

...........and Palin has a Down's baby.....she didn't kill it before or after it was born. I'm very prejudiced on this subject. I am blessed to have a Down's brother. She's going to get votes from disabled Americans and their families.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but may I ask you a question?

Will you be voting for her because she has a Downs syndrome child? That is how you make it sound.

BTW, I had my last child when I was 34. The doctor suggested testing for Downs syndrome and I said no. My baby is my baby no matter what.
Guess what? I'm an independant and voting for Barack. I still believe that if women want an abortion(even though I know I could not do it), they should be allowed legally to have it done.

I don't think the McCain/Palin ticket will be good for us. But, that is just my opinion in this big sea of the DISBOARDS.

Now the real fun begins...see you all at the polling stations come November.

I don't know, I'd rather take a chance with her as a VP than a guy who says that something is above his pay grade as the President of the United States.
Obviously you didn't catch the whole quote. Obama was referring that God is the only one who should making those decisions. So that decision is above his "pay grade" as God is the highest "rank" and is the only one qualified to make a decision of that nature.

Sarah has run a town of 5,000 and the State of Alaska for 1.5 years. Her Republican legislature recently agreed to pay $100,000 to launch an investigation into her firing of a Commissioner because he wouldn't fire her former brother-in-law. That's hardly executive experience.

Barack Obama has led grass roots organizations (in an executive capacity), formed coalitions and had exposure to International policy. Wasilla, Alaska doesn't have a lot of International or Terrorist threats. When I lived there, the biggest problem was when the town drunk left town and we had to find new talent. It's hardly executive experience.

BO was nothing more than a protestor sucking money out of taxpayers pockets in order to pad his resume.

Yeah, well I'm sure the terrorists will be quaking in their sandals to have to take on Palin.

Or they could deal with Obama "Gee I don't know what to do, it's over my pay grade".
At least Palin is a hunter, she knows that when you get the enemy in your sights you take the shot. Obama, well, he just wouldn't know what to do. He would probably try to tell the terrorists that what we need is change.

I am absolutely THRILLED with McCain's choice! I think now it's a HORSE RACE!!

I love drama, and I think she will bring an element of interest into the Republican race that was not there before. I will love watching this roll! :thumbsup2

Are you saying ....you are basing your belief that she isn't intelligent because....she's pretty? Wow! :scared1: Do you know anything about her or her accomplishments.....or are the democratic talking points already up?:confused3
I'm basing my beliefs on over eight years of witnessing Karl Rove campaign tactics and media manipulation. Die-hard Conservatives aren't known for their trust of women in power - ANY woman in power. Her being pretty appeals to that base of neanderthals and the kicker will be, "Look....she won't have any power anyway. But this is how we're going to win the election."

I'm basing her intelligence on her acquiescence in acceptance of the position offered. She's being willingly used.

You mean the right-to-kill-babies-vote?

You do know that there are millions of women who vote who dont want to kill babies, right?

You mean, the right of women to control their bodies? That's how I see it, and the majority of Americans see it.

Maybe YOU don't trust yourself to do the right thing. I don't need the government to dictate my behavoir or moral choices. But I darned sure want to hear the truth from my doctor if a pregnancy might kill me, or make me go blind, or cause other debilitating diseases.

MY BODY, MY CHOICE.

Just ask those orphans in Latin America whose moms have bled to death because of miscarriages that hospitals will no longer treat for fear of running afoul of the new draconian anti-abortion laws how they feel.

Oh, hunters are now all qualified to be Commander-in-Chief? :rotfl:

So, are the "McCain/Female" bumper stickers available yet?

Don't get this move confused with "women's rights." This is one of the most egregious stunts in the history of American politics. Do the Republicans even take this seriously? Are they that certain they are going to lose this race?

You're putting the oldest candidate for president (who is recovering from skin cancer, mind you) next to a governor of 600,000 people who has zero foreign policy experience.

I can't wait for the Biden/Palin debate. That should be fun.

its killin' you to huh? The left wing blogs are blowing up today! i am lmao!

But the President is the one who decides which laws get passed, and which legislation is presented to congress. And I for one would like to know that the man in charge at least has an idea of where he stands on this important issue. "Above my pay grade" just doesn't cut it.

She's no more a hero than I am. I'll be refusing testing as well. If my kid has Down syndrome, so be it.

Would there have even been a tenth of this amount of comments had the pick been Romney?

The lefties are apoplectic over this. Great theater indeed!

its killin' you to huh? The left wing blogs are blowing up today! i am lmao!

Even so it will take us MONTHs to catch up to the right wing angst of the past few months....

Now it's a real race. Let's see what happens!:cool1:

Its killin' you, too, huh?

But of course, BO is not being used.

Stunts always draw attention. That's what they are meant to do.

This tells you all you need to know about McCain's incredible lack of judgment.

that she is. Having someone in office who can relate to families with special needs is a big plus. Having someone who is NOT a career politician is a huge plus for her as well. I am listening to her speech now and so far I like what I hear.

I think that I have made my decision.

Umm no, the president can suggest legislation it doesn't have to be introduced that is congresses job they can also introduce stuff he is completely against. And he can veto a passed bill, which can be overturned, so your statement above is not

Oh, hunters are now all qualified to be Commander-in-Chief? :rotfl:

First of all we're talking about the VP, not the Commander in Chief. BUT, I would want a commander in chief who is decisive, who knows what needs to be done, and does the job. I believe that if Palin should ever have to take over the job of Commander in chief, that she would at least have an idea of what to do (and yes, I think that hunting is a good experience in helping you make a decision).
Whereas on the other hand, the Dems want a man who can't even ANSWER a simple question without hiding behind a ridiculous line like "it's above my paygrade"
Maybe Palin should take Obama out hunting, it couldn't hurt, it might even help him learn to make a real decision or two. Who knows.
