It's Official...IT'S PALIN

Do you really think Hillary Clinton wants a woman in the VP slot who does not believe in evolution and is extremely anti choice? If you do, then YOU do not know Hillary.

I'd say this choice TOTALLY plays to the neo-cons who re-elected Bush by coming out in 17 states to vote for constitutional amendments banning gay marriage. It stinks of Karl Rove.

Yep. It's a total pander.

A lot of VP choices have turned into a total disaster, and this has the mark of that.

She's completely unqualified to be POTUS, and it won't take long after the initial glow to prove it.

Are you serious??? Ok, I was already off to do my research... but WOW. That line stopped me in my tracks!

A senator is not an executive position in which a person "runs" things.

Sarah has run a town of 5,000 and the State of Alaska for 1.5 years. Her Republican legislature recently agreed to pay $100,000 to launch an investigation into her firing of a Commissioner because he wouldn't fire her former brother-in-law. That's hardly executive experience.

Barack Obama has led grass roots organizations (in an executive capacity), formed coalitions and had exposure to International policy. Wasilla, Alaska doesn't have a lot of International or Terrorist threats. When I lived there, the biggest problem was when the town drunk left town and we had to find new talent. It's hardly executive experience.

So the Obama supporters say "How can you be pro-choice and vote for Palin?"
If I use this same reasoning, I have to ask Obama supporters how can you vote for Obama when he voted no on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act? An act of which Hillary Clinton voted yes. Surely you do not fully align yourselves with Obama on this issue.

...........and Palin has a Down's baby.....she didn't kill it before or after it was born. I'm very prejudiced on this subject. I am blessed to have a Down's brother. She's going to get votes from disabled Americans and their families.

I don't know, I'd rather take a chance with her as a VP than a guy who says that something is above his pay grade as the President of the United States.

Nice -- real nice. What does this statement say about you? Also - you may want to run spell check before you start writing your insults.
Spelling or proof-reading aside, my ideas and thoughts are still sound.

She's a token. She's Alaska's way of saying, "Look! We finally got a woman in office and ain't she pretty!" Or, as I'm learning more and more about Palin, "Look! This woman helped us with our big oil deal. Let's reward her by making her Governor for two years and then we'll reward her with a VP nomination pick which will get voted down during our convention so we can say, 'Gosh darn it, we tried'."

Both are insulting to me as I'm an intelligent woman who recognizes the tactics being used as tactics that have been used for years in Corporate America. She's a token woman who fits the "pretty" mold but will have absolutely no responsibility or legislative rights whatsoever. She's only there to secure the disgruntled Hillary voters who want a woman in the White House no matter what.

How smart McCain was for running his commercial congratulating Obama on his nomination and accomplishments. Now, you have Obama's campaign coming out immediately spewing petty little comments. What classless, little people. Obama's proved again he's an empty suit.....and he's pouting too. He's not the only rock star now! Palin is wildly popular in Alaska. This has already knocked Obama off as the lead story.

Pretty powerful differences being shown. I agree. I knew last night that JM was setting up BHO. It's like a scene from "The Sting".

It has been said that the first important decision a candidate makes is his VP choice. McCain chose a political stunt. It will come back to haunt him.

Obama is running on change and chooses a 25+ year senator that has tried and failed to run for the presidency 4 times, dating back to 1988. Old Washington.

McCain is running on experience, reform and energy and chooses a state governor from an energy state who is a solid republican with a history of reform and is anti-corruption. She is not a hypocrite either. She supports the war on terror and her son is in the Army, deploying to Iraq (like McCain's son). She is pro-life and recently gave birth to a child with Downs Syndrome, rather than flush the life down the drain. She is solidly pro-2nd amendment and is an avid hunter.

I agree that the choice of VP is the first important decision for a candidate. BO should have picked Hillary and his road to the White House would have been paved with gold.

There are many Hillary supporters that want to set up a 2012 match between Palin and Clinton and many will cross over to achieve that. Their hatred for BO for playing the race card on a fellow democrat runs deep.

Umm Last I checked the VP is the president of the Senate Did you miss that part of the constition?

And there is no way she is going to be voted down by the convention, no way no how.

It's been well established for some time that McCain would reveal his VP pick the day after the DNC.
WHOEVER the pick was, they were going to take the headlines temporarily.

It's all timing.

Are you saying ....you are basing your belief that she isn't intelligent because....she's pretty? Wow! :scared1: Do you know anything about her or her accomplishments.....or are the democratic talking points already up?:confused3

Yeah, well I'm sure the terrorists will be quaking in their sandals to have to take on Palin.

So, are the "McCain/Female" bumper stickers available yet?

Don't get this move confused with "women's rights." This is one of the most egregious stunts in the history of American politics. Do the Republicans even take this seriously? Are they that certain they are going to lose this race?

You're putting the oldest candidate for president (who is recovering from skin cancer, mind you) next to a governor of 600,000 people who has zero foreign policy experience.

I can't wait for the Biden/Palin debate. That should be fun.
