It's Official...IT'S PALIN

Absolutely.

Thanks for agreeing with me - I think. ;)

Excuse me...but Sarah Palin has been my governor for 18 months and was my mayor for six years. How does that equal 4 years as a US Senator, eight years as a state legislator and 20 years as a community organizer? It's like taking the winning Pop Warner team quarterback and putting him in the starting position for an NFL Team.

That's what I'm thinking.

But the other side is saying that the Pop Warner QB is better qualified to be QB than an NFL running back, because he's been QB before. :confused3

This makes my head hurt. :headache:

Thank you for proving my point. McCain is trying to tap into that disgruntled Hillary supporter. Who will vote for him now, because there is a women on the ticket. Any women will do.

It doesn't really matter to these voters that Hillary and Sarah are polar opposites on the issues.

You can think this comment is sexist- but it really isn't. But, believe me there are women out there who think this way, and McCain is trying to tap into this. I agree it is a crafted stunt.

Now here's what I'm thinking - the Republicans have now identified their own woman to be president someday. Hillary supporters should see Palin as a threat, not as an option.

I am not sexist, but do think that a party that ignores a very qualified woman is. Without a doubt Hillary was the best qualified person to serve as VP. She had a huge following and was tossed aside for someone who couldn't even get a rise in the polls.

A senator is not an executive position in which a person "runs" things.

It has been said that the first important decision a candidate makes is his VP choice. McCain chose a political stunt. It will come back to haunt him.

How smart McCain was for running his commercial congratulating Obama on his nomination and accomplishments. Now, you have Obama's campaign coming out immediately spewing petty little comments. What classless, little people. Obama's proved again he's an empty suit.....and he's pouting too. He's not the only rock star now! Palin is wildly popular in Alaska. This has already knocked Obama off as the lead story.

Oh, and I forgot that 4 years on the "Committe on Foreign Relations" is nothing.

4 -- he spent at least 2 of them campaigning.

You mean he was elected four years ago.....and has spent three of those years running for President full-time.

He certainly does have a track record of accomplishments. But nice try on your part.

This pick makes McCain look like a hypocrite.

And Obama's pick of Biden really solidified his campaign mantra of change :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good grief...:sad1: She is not "a woman AGAINST women". She is a woman who perhaps holds a different set of values and political views than some other women.

Well - every woman I know shares her same values.

Good thing for Obama and the people who support him that front page headlines aren't what we care about. We're thinking 5, 10 and 20 years into the future. Headlines don't make a country come back from financial ruin. Plans for the future that involve everyone working together as Americans do.

With this choice of a young mother of five who's only experience as a leader has been a one-term token woman governer of a cash-rich, low-population state, an Obama/Biden Administration is in the bag now.

A grateful country thanks you, John! :cheer2:

Nice -- real nice. What does this statement say about you? Also - you may want to run spell check before you start writing your insults.

Sorry, I just cannot support Obama and after his selection of Biden as VP, my committment for McCain became solidified.

So as an ardent Hillary supporter. Someone you truly believed in. You will go 100% against her wishes? Makes sense.

It has been said that the first important decision a candidate makes is his VP choice. McCain chose a political stunt. It will come back to haunt him.

I don't think so. Everything politicians do are political stunts. I'm not a supporter of McCain but he made a genious move. He'll take the women's vote and he'll take the middle class now as well.

If you really believe Hillary wants Obama elected president.....you don't know Hillary.

With her right wing views, she won't taken the women's vote.

So the Obama supporters say "How can you be pro-choice and vote for Palin?"
If I use this same reasoning, I have to ask Obama supporters how can you vote for Obama when he voted no on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act? An act of which Hillary Clinton voted yes. Surely you do not fully align yourselves with Obama on this issue.

Me too.

We need someone who can identify with the working people. Barack and Biden aren't those people.

Oh yeah, McCain and his 7 houses really identify with the working people.

Hint: Working people tend to know how many houses they have.

Do you really think Hillary Clinton wants a woman in the VP slot who does not believe in evolution and is extremely anti choice? If you do, then YOU do not know Hillary.

I'd say this choice TOTALLY plays to the neo-cons who re-elected Bush by coming out in 17 states to vote for constitutional amendments banning gay marriage. It stinks of Karl Rove.
