It's Obama/Biden!

I figure whatever you say, the opposite is going to happen. Ya know?!
Hehe... I got the same feeling. :rotfl:
Take notice who doesn't like the Biden choice and making it known. Like they would vote for Obama if he chose J. Christ.
Well, let's be fair. Yes, the people bashing the Biden choice are generally just blowing smoke, of course. But what about me. I said, "I'm not impressed," and I'm not. That doesn't mean I'm not going to vote for Obama. I think there are a lot of us independents that are truly going to weigh both sides. But, as you alluded to, we're not the ones scathingly bashing the Biden choice.
This is the exact opposite that I see from most conservatives. I don't know one person that I have talked to that would not be happy with Romney and would run screaming from McCain.
I think it depends on what you mean by "conservative". Real conservatives are in favor of less government interference. Those conservatives wouldn't be impressed with Romney.

I thought BO was going to change Washington. Seems funny he would pick a 30 year Washington veteran. Just proves once again BHO speaks one thing and does another! :sad2:
This dosen't even make sense. People say he has no experience....so he is picking someone with a lot:idea:

The right is more important for McCain. It's the only part of the Republican base he could count on IF he plays his cards right.

As far as Obama choosing Biden, excellent choice.

Take notice who doesn't like the Biden choice and making it known. Like they would vote for Obama if he chose J. Christ.

Exactly.
I agree w/this. The conservative base has been enough to win the past 2 elections and I don't see McCain going away from that--of course, it's politics and anything can happen. I am very interested to see who McCain will pick.
McCain already has the conservatives....they don't like him....but they will NEVER vote for Obama....he shouldn't waste his time with that base....they are HIS already.
What it proves is that Barack Obama is flexible, interested in all opinions and will be a wonderful POTUS! Much better than George Rigid Bush who has no idea how to listen or learn from anyone who might have something to say. McCain is cut from the same cloth as Bush. While Obama and Biden will have a partnership the likes of Clinton/Gore, McCain and his running mate will likely have a very staid campaign, just like the old men before them with McCain being 'the Decider.' Uglch.
McCain's campaign slogan should be "Four more years!"

:rolleyes1 ;)

The Biden pick's a safe one. The polls are showing the candidates running close, so I wouldn't expect either candidate to make any wild moves. I think the Biden choice makes Tim Pawlenty a lock for McCain.
However, if it looks like the electoral map may be tight again, I would have picked a guy that could have thrown a historical red state your way. I know some Obama supporters think that the GOP's joy over the choice is only "false bravado", but it's not. At most this is a "neutral" choice. I would have been concerned if it had been Bayh or Kaine. I think Obama pretty much had Delaware locked up.

Biden's not a "bad" choice, but his mouth has been a real liability to him. On top of some shooting himself in the foot, he's also been caught as a Senator plagiarizing a speech.

This is not a "Change" ticket, biden has been in the senate for 20yrs. Now I have even more to worry about. I was at least hoping he picked a solid VP to help him make decisions. BIDEN???

Change my a##!

Anyone who undertakes change without someone along who is an expert on how things currently work is an idiot.

You sound biased. :rotfl:

Seriously, he is an expert on how government works today. Even the Republicans acknowledge that. I'm not impressed with him as a VP candidate, but we can't say he's not an expert.

Our media outlets are so screwed up!! They are all so bias. CNN is PRO Dem and FOX is Pro Republican. Look at the home pages for each site and contrast the pictures.

Let the spin begin!

Obviously, you've not followed Senator McCain's political career.

While Obama and Biden will have a partnership the likes of Clinton/Gore, McCain and his running mate will likely have a very staid campaign, just like the old men before them with McCain being 'the Decider.' Uglch.
McCain's campaign slogan should be "Four more years!" Again, not true

I think the choice of Biden - is great - for McCain. The choice of Biden goes against Obama's mantra of CHANGE and a different kind of leader who is outside Washington politics. Is Obama conceding that he isn't ready for the big chair - or is he doing what is politically expedient. . . . .again ;)

I am bias, I am voting for McCain. I refuse to vote for an extreme liberal like Obama.

I agree about CNN and Fox. By contrast, MSNBC is typically fair and balanced. They're showing the same photo as CNN.

I have a question for the Democrats (& this is a serious one, with no sarcasm intended or implied. Really)

Senator Biden has run for President (twice??) and has not even come close to getting nominated. Since he has not captured the imagination or the support of his party, how will he becoming Sen Obama's running mate help?

Like I said, no jokes intended. I'm just not sure I see how this pick as a running mate will really help his chances of election in the fall.

I am bias, I am voting for McCain. I refuse to vote for an extreme liberal like Obama.
Obama's extremism does disturb me. However, I'd be more concerned about McCain's extremism, should he choose a VP candidate indicating his willingness to placate the Christian Jihad. I really don't see much qualitative difference between the two sides with regard to the economy, the war, etc. Not that both will do the same things -- on the contrary, both sides will screw up these things in the same amount, in radically different ways. So it'll all come down to which side is going to protect my personal liberty. I have no reason to suspect Obama, in that regard. And McCain has a long history of respecting personal liberty. If McCain picked himself as his own VP, then I'd vote for McCain, absolutely. We'll see his true colors (for the next four years), on the matter of personal liberty, when he picks his VP next week.

I think something must be wrong with my monitor.
Have a good laugh. I would think that folks here would be intelligent enough to recognize liberal extremism (i.e., CNN) when the see it, and reactionary extremism (i.e., Fox News) when they see it, so they should recognize a moderate perspective (i.e., MSNBC) just as well, by recognizing that it is the perspective between the two actual extremes. :teacher:

True, but quite frankly, Obama's VP pick was never going to be very important. The whole election is going to come down to McCain's pick.

Historically, VP picks don't decide an election. McCain's pick is irrelevant.
