While not a fan of the dole whip, it does have ice cream. And while on vacation, ice cream can serve as breakfast, lunch or dessert.
Aladdin is much like the one at AK with the dinosaurs...a rip off of Dumbo. But you need something for the little ones. And it is always funny to see a parent get spit on by the camel.

Sorry Phil.
That was nice of the people on POTC to take a family picture.
I fully support your "Ice cream serving as a meal" concept. By the way, I think Wednesday was national "eat ice cream for dinner day" so I hope you participated
The really funny part was Olivia did not believe me that I got "spit" on so for half the ride time I was trying to convince her that it really happened
Very nice to get the family picture - though I wish Olivia had her eyes open more
Like you, I've read pros and cons of the Dessert Party. Unfortunatley, I've never been able to get an ADR for it.

But after reading your review and seeing your pictures, I will continue to try.
I think you would really like the dessert party. Many of the other families that were there were very friendly and it just had a good vibe to it (at least the night we went). It is an extra cost so not sure how often we will do it but I think it is definitely worth it to try it at least once
Great report so far.
We're getting ready to take our grandkids (ages 3 and 4) to DL for Halloween and I've enjoyed reading how your kids react to things.
I'd already pretty much ruled out PoTC and Haunted Mansion Holiday plus IASW is closed for refurb (which are big losses for that park). but seeing Peter's reaction to Pirates just re-confirmed that decision for me.

thanks for joining! And hope you have a great trip! We haven't fully done halloween at Disney yet as the kids don't seem into scary things yet and don't like the villians at all so I don't think we would fully get everything out of it - hopefully in the future though
Haven't gotten to that day yet but we did ride the Haunted Mansion our 2nd MK day and it was their second time and Olivia did much better. Peter was a little scared though. We tried to make it more that it was just silly and not scary and that seemed to help. In some ways I can see Pirates being scarier with the noise and gun shots and fire and stuff.
quick question: did Peter and Olivia boycott the stoller for the most part at the MK? I'm trying to decide on renting just 1 single at the park. (which is all they have in DL - no doubles)
So at times they did boycot the stroller but then at other times they really wanted in. So there were times that Judi was wearing Emma and both kids were walking so we had not kids in the stroller and then other times we had all three
Peter, more than Olivia, protested more and really wanted me to carry him on my shoulders so we probably looked silly at times with me carrying him on my shoulders and pushing a stroller than could fit 3 but had no kids actually in it
I would suggest getting some sort of stroller as I bet there will be times at least one of them wants to rest and even if they don't want to go in it you can put your "stuff" in and carry them
I'm still catching up on your beginning installments - but did any of the kids ride Test Track? Reason I'm asking: I want to take them on Radiator Springs - my grandson loves McQueen and is exactly 40" but after watching a few
youtube videos of parents recording their 3 yr olds, I'm not so sure!!
So, I am probably a bad DISer in that none of us have ever been on Test Track. I know. We just never have been able to get a fast pass for it as Soarin' was always a priority - so in the old days we would get the FP- for that and by the time it was up they were out of them for TT and then last time, with the tiering we could only get Soarin or TT (though, now they have gotten rid of the tiering).
From reading other TR's where they went on Radiator Springs I know that kids a little older than yours enjoyed it but that it does get pretty fast so probably depends on your kids and how they do with it. Sorry to not be more help with that one
