Walt Disney World Free Dining News - Fall 2014
As a Disney Destinations Specialist, I am asked everyday about whether or not I've heard any rumors about free dining in 2014. In fact, many of my Disney World veteran clients have already learned an important strategy - book now, and hope for free dining later.

Today, I was informed by a Cast Member at Central Reservations that free dining for Walt Disney World 2014 is definite! Official dates have not yet been released but I'm told to expect late August through December; similar to prior years.

So what's the strategy? Book your room and dining reservations now. When free dining is announced, have your Disney travel agent apply free dining to your reservation. If you wait until free dining is offered to book, you risk not being able to book the best restaurants and/or not getting the resort/room category you want.

Yay!!! That is exactly what I did. Based on historical discounts we booked 10/2014 as soon as it opened up last summer. ADR's done as of this past Monday. Now I just need the discount and all will be right with the world!! :-)

re: dacotix post 382

Does that mean that Oct - Dec will be announced along with Sept?

no usually dates are announced for September only sometime in May. Then around the end of July through the first couple weeks of August they extend the dates through the fall.

I have a question and apologize in advance if it has already been asked and answered.I am planning on going the week before Thanksgiving and hoping for FD I will not book my package ahead as advised not to on here(totally understand the logic in this) but is it ok to go ahead and book ADR's when they open up or should I also wait to do that? Will they see that they are able to fill the restaurants and not offer FD or is it more geared towards the resorts?Just don't want to do anything that will hurt the chances of a FD offer but also don't want to miss getting the places/times I really want if there is no reason to wait. One last question is the fp+ lunch for BOG available only 60 days out for onsite guests like all the other FP+'s? TIA!

First post on the dis boards! We are excitedly waiting for free dining in Nov! It'll be the first trip for our youngest baby boy - can't wait!

Yes, book your ADRs at first available chance. They offer promos based on hotel availability, not restaurants :)

Welcome to the Dis!!

Looks like this Thurs for Visa holders - booking all the way through Dec!
I'm stressing out because the rumor on dates is that mine won't be included :(

I just got the visa card. What's the website address to check for their Disney deals?

Looks like free dining is being released on Thursday for Visa holders and probably Monday to the general public. Good luck to all those hoping for November. The dates are really tight for November this year. Sadly, my dates are not flexible and are not included.

:cool1::cool1:Happy news is I'm going to Disney regardless.:cool1::cool1:

If you have never booked free dining please be prepared to wait on hold.....forever. Took me almost 3 hours last time. Don't lose your patience, though. It will work out eventually! Find a movie or something else to do while you listen to the music on speaker phone over and over and over again. It was worse than being stuck on It's A Small World!

I've posted the latest news in the first post of this thread. Any questions, give us a shout and I will try to answer for you.

The public release date is the 7th, not the 5th.

Wow they are releasing all the dates at the same time that would be great instead of having to wait all summer for November dates. Glad to see my dates are included seeing how there isn't alot of dates for the month. Hope everyone gets lucky with their dates:goodvibes
