JULY 27TH PART TWO: HONORARY PRINCESS OF THE DAY
My dear and loyal readers -
I've decided that I'm going to attempt to post a new installment of my glorious TR every Sunday from now until I finish this thing. Based on the amount of material I have left - and the fact that I'm quite good at rambling - I figure I'll be wrapping this up come late-May/early-June. Then, I'll (probably) start a quick PTR for my July trip, and before I know it, I'll be back in the World!

Of course, considering the fact that I
am a college student, these dates could change, updates could become irregular, and all that jazz, but I'm going to try REALLY hard to keep to a schedule. I've got a bad case of Spring Fever/Indian Fever(Go Tribe!)/"I'm Going to Disney World in Less Than 3 Months" Fever, so my Disney-lovin' is out in full-force.
Anyway, here's today's update! I apologize for its brevity, but I had to get all of the "not such a great story" stuff out of the way before I can get to the meat of our MK day.
After getting thoroughly soaked on Splash Mountain, we were in dire need of a quick breakfast detour. In all of the rushing around that morning to make it to Extra Magic Hours, I skipped breakfast, and after an hour in the park, I was STARVING. So we stopped at the stand in Liberty Square that sells fruit and stuff. I have no idea what its called, but its right across from the Liberty Belle dock, if that helps.
I got a delicious bowl of watermelon and a Sprite. Not exactly the greatest breakfast ever, but it worked. I didnt have that My stomach is so empty I think Im going to vomit feeling anymore, so it was a success.
I love these chairs, but I couldnt stay and eat there because my nemeses, those big white birds, were all over. It was terrifying. I just wanted to sit and eat my watermelon in peace without having to worry about their ugly beaks, and their ugly legs with backwards knees, and their creepy eyes, and their gross feathers, and their disturbingly long necks. So I found a bench as far away from those guys as possible and made Dad stand in front of me to shield me from their icky bird-ness.
Stomachs full, we headed back to Fantasyland. Katie and Dad headed to Mickeys PhilharMagic, and Mom and I headed to everyones favorite classic ride, Its a Small World.
OK. Its definitely not
everyones favorite ride, but its one of mine, so I absolutely had to get in another trip on the happiest cruise that ever sailed.
See? Its just so happy!
Hippos wink at you!
Giraffes have flower-shaped spots!
Dolls with sparkly eyes carry pineapples on their heads!
It rains shiny streamers!
Angry-looking platypuses throw eggs at you
What? Ok. Evidently this ride is a little creepier than I thought.
But who wouldnt want this little vocal group to sing to them? The girl has pink hair tied in a giant knot on her forehead! She could totally be a pop star in the real world. In July, Ill smuggle her out of the ride and into the recording studio.
Its all just so wonderful! I love you, Its a Small World
even if no one else does.
As we were walking out, Mom decided that I needed to make a wish. So I did. And she documented it. Ignore the mess on top of my head. My hair was pretty much shot after Splash Mountain, and I was too busy having fun to attempt to fix it.
Id tell you what I wished for, but Im pretty sure that means it wont come true, so youre just going to have to use your IMAAAAAAAAGINAAAAATION. /Figment
When we exited Its a Small World, this was the line for Peter Pan.
Thank goodness we got those Fastpasses earlier.
Katie and Dad were still in PhilharMagic, so Mom and I found a bench and waited. I took a pic of this lovely Fantasyland trash can. I love how well-themed even the place where we dump all our disgusting trash is.
We struck up a conversation with one of the custodial CMs who gave me this
An Honorary Princess of the Day sticker! Now, it didnt come with quite as many perks as the time Michelle Tanner was named Princess of the Day actually it didnt come with any perks but it made me feel special. Dad and Katie came over as we were talking to her, so Katie got a sticker too, which made me feel a little less special, but whatever. If I had to share my honorary crown with someone, I guess sharing it with her wasnt that bad.
After practicing my princess wave elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist, pearls we got in line for Peter Pan.
Pirate ships!
This is going to make me sound like the lamest person ever, but Im kinda, maybe, sorta, just a teensy bit scared of Peter Pans Flight. I dont like flying. I dont like being off the ground. I dont care that its only a few feet, it still makes me uncomfortable. I sit there the whole time with a death grip on the lapbar, praying that our pirate ship doesnt fall off the track. I cant help it. I worry about everything.
Anyway, I survived our trip to Neverland and back (though there was a bit of a close one with a crocodile) and we headed back out for more Fantasyland fun!
UP NEXT: "I see you drank your tea this morning."
