:sad2: Somehow that doesn't seem entirely fair. So, do you work from August through to Christmas with only Thanksgiving off? :sad1:

That is correct. We have Labor Day in September and Veteren's Day in November. Other than that, we wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas. (And Christmas break is getting shorter each year!)

Are you finding any time for yourself? I've just taken 2 weeks off as a staycation and it just seems to be really busy. I don't know how I fit it all in when I have to throw work into the mix.

I was supposed to work from 8:45-1:15 tomorrow... Then I got a call half an hour ago asking if I can come in any earlier. I agreed to come in at 7, since I found another route on the bus... One that'll take an hour and 40 minutes (at bare minimum) and require me to be up at 4am and out the door no later than 5am. I mentioned this to my parents and my dad said he'd drive me as long as I make him breakfast.

Yay for your dad not being a jerk tomorrow! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Back from an evening bike ride. And now making a late dinner.

Fran promised to cut up veggies for a steak salad, but it's after 7 and she hasn't made any motions towards dinner. I hope we order Thai food! :lmao:

:moped:................................. LTP!
No you're NOT seeing things!! It's me...

Wow! I was thinking about you the other day and considered stealing your moped wondering if it would bring you back. Ness and Kimmar with a couple days! :woohoo:

Sounds like a fun trip with your DD. I don't think we heard from you since you came back from your trip on the Dream.

I thought that first week in October coincided with a school break? Bobbi and Kitty are also in the education system and we checked calendars....

No pressure. You know it's on and if there is even a remote chance, that would be great to meet in 3D.

Bobbi is going to be retiring and Kitty might be in NJ. They have "Jersey week" in early October for some reason all the teachers have the time off, or some sort of seminar in Orlando, so they talk about how the teachers from Jersey all go down there.

Sadly in the US we don't value our time off like other countries. Some stupid puritan work ethic.

OK, I'm in for the night. Got a cool black dress for tomorrow and it meets all my criteria, and it didn't even break the bank! :thumbsup2

Rarely during the school year. I barely did anything over the summer. I just relaxed non-stop and left the house if I had to. I was so exhausted from the school year. I have no extra time for much of anything when I'm working.

Hey!!

Step away from the moped! :rotfl:

:moped:........................

You're right! I've been M.I.A. since disembarkation! I don't think I ever said a word. Bad Ness!!

Well....the Dis has become my (in)sanity spot.

How was the cruise?

The cruise was wonderful!! I love cruising. The ship was beautiful and Castaway Cay is just so relaxing (in Serenity Bay of course which is for adults only). Only issue- My back went out on night one! I could barely make it around. I thought I'd be in bed the entire cruise. Thank God I had some prescription strength motrin. It helped take the edge off and I made it through.

I can't wait to board the Fantasy. I was booked for next June, but decided to wait until 2013 instead.

I just realized... I said I'm planning Disney in June 2013. I meant 2012!!

I cancelled since next year will be two years since Disney. So once the new cruise dates come out, I'll transfer my booking to June 2013.

Well....2012 is a lot closer than 2013. I'm envious. It's going to be a while between visits to the World for me.

I'm trying to scam a trip to Hong Kong next year....we'll see how the finances pan out.

Hopefully it will all work out. I love surprising my DD! :lovestruc

I don't know how you folks all do it. I'd go nuts if we didn't get to go often, but I guess that's because I've been trained to it now for 20+ years. However, I remember my first girlfriend hated Disney and my biggest regret as I thought about if things got serious with her was that I would never go back to WDW. :rotfl2: Then I met Fran and all we talked about was Disney, (well not everything, but it was a big part of our conversations). I dropped the psycho beatch like a hot potato and never looked back! :lmao:

We're now planning into 2013 (obviously), but the Tokyo Disney trip is now out because our reason for going is transferring back to DCA sooner rather than later to manage the new restaurant and Food & Beverage in 2012 so our reason to go to Tokyo Disney in 2013 is gone. Good thing because I didn't feel too safe going to Japan. We were talking about going to Paris, but now, I think I've got her on Aulani in 2013 and Paris in 2014.

No, I'm not obsessed. At least I'm not planning as far in advance as Iger. :rotfl:

Iger practically has short term plans til 2015.

With me, it's a question of distance. I wish I lived closer but I love it here in Oz.

I'd be there at least twice a year if I could. I love WDW!!! One day I'll make it DL. My DD is dreaming of that big trip as well. We live on the East coast so that trip will take a WHOLE LOT of planning out. Maybe I'll put that in the works for 2017 when she graduates HS...

Nighty night, All! I have to sing in the morning, so I must get some sleep. See Ya Real Soon!!

:moped:................. There's no place like LTP!!

DL in 2017? Definitely something to aim for! :lmao:
