I've seen the projection/music they have on It's a Small World during the holidays but I have a question for the rest of the year. Every time we've been IASM has been in refurb. I know, so sad!

So now for the question. During non-holiday periods do they do projections/music on the facade of IASW?

Well before the big refurb, it's a no. It's just the same gong/doll parade/15 min. time clock. Nothing special afterwards.
But since they did refurb it, who knows now. But I'm guessing that everything on the outside will just be the same.

Although I've never really paid that much attention to it during our previous trips, I thought there were projections on IASW during the "Remember" fireworks show.

I *think* you're right. I've never seen RDCT from IASW, but I think I've heard they do projections on the facade just like they do projections on the castle and the Matterhorn.

yes, I really enjoyed watching that show from IASW plaza. The projections were cool.

There were, we made a point to watch from there a couple of times because it's so neat!!

We were there from the 18th through, hmm, the 21st of September last year (so only one day was into Halloweentime), and there were projections during the normal fireworks. That was the first place we watched the fireworks from, and it was great!

They do close down the area early...toontown will already be closed, and they close IASW and rope it all off. They let everyone sit on the ground, which was lovely. Then at the end of it, the fire marshall has to sign off on the area where the fireworks can touch down, which includes IASW. After that happens, the CMs will open a line in their rope, and you will be walked into IASW, if you wish to ride it after.

People can get VERY cranky as the area is roped off, even though there's NOWHERE to go, but then they are cranky b/c TT is closed and so is IASW in preparation, so be patient with others b/c you'll see ridiculous adult behaviour. :)
