So if this is true...my four cards will hold approx. 1,342 pictures. Hmmm. I am still worried. I know that is nuts but there you have it.

Last trip I took > 1500 pictures. I uploaded the pictures I took to our laptop every night so I didn't notice how many there were until I went to decide which I would print to put in our album.

I actually only printed 800.

Last trip I took > 1500 pictures. I uploaded the pictures I took to our laptop every night so I didn't notice how many there were until I went to decide which I would print to put in our album.

I actually only printed 800.

See! That makes me feel like I am not so crazy! I am going to buy them and not feel bad about my compulsive picture taking. Though, Gustuv better not ruin my grand plan for pictures!!

Also want to second the vote to take your laptop (and a USB flash drive) and dump your pictures on that every night. That is what I'm doing. I have learned from the Photography Board that memory cards sometimes FAIL (never happened to me and I never thought about it) but I do NOT want to lose all my Disney pics. So I will be saving a backup every night. Yes, I'm that crazy

Me neither...so I'm guessing its really rare but it can happen. That's why they suggest that you have multiple smaller (1 or 2 gig) memory cards instead of using an 8G one.

I brought a memory card for the trip (to add to the small one I had). I download to the laptop everynight but now I wonderful if I need another one because DH likes to take videos. Maybe I can borrow one from my dad or someone. Thanks for making me think about it some more

Glad to have someone join my crazy chatter about Memory Cards. I borrowed one of the 2GB from my parents. I am really liking the option to take video, so I think having more memory will be good for me. I will be on a mission to take lots of pictures just to prove everyone that I can use that much!

You guys are so darn cute in your pictures! And the camera is awesome! Love how it takes those colored pics! And I started having Disney dreams last night plus one of Tom Brady and the Patriots, so not a bad night. 3 DAYS!!!!!

And my dad would say that computer hard drives can fail, too. Basically you're just supposed to back up everything in multiple places. Technology fails.

I learned that in San Diego when Nevi used up all my battery at the San Diego zoo shooting video clips of animals. I had plenty of space on my card, but recharging my battery every night wasn't sufficient for that. I bought a second battery for Disney and charged both at night and was fine.

My plan this trip was to leave the laptop at home. I don't plan on taking as many pictures this time and didn't think I'd need to dump the pictures every night... maybe I better rethink that.
