This is a really strange question. I tried to make a sort of paper "graph" with days of the week and sections for times of the day to plan our vacation.

I am not planning minute by minute, but I was looking for an outline of our "plans". I try to be organized.

Does anyone use a special "scratch" paper when planning their trip? If you have any suggestions or want to email me one, please let me know. I am in no way artistic and thought that some of your years of expertise might be the key!

I use two things. First, I use this shareware Disney Vacation Planning Software Stu Barton's Disney Vacation Planner This lets you plan which parks you'll be at throughout the day, store PS's etc. You can print out each individual day. There's also other neat planning information in there.

The second thing I do is I have a simple spreadsheet that has all the attractions broken by park and area of the park. Then there are 4 columns where I rank the importance of seeing this attraction: Yes! I absolutely have to ride this, I'd like to if there's time, Eh, if there's nothing else to do, No! I have no desire to ride this. I go through and mark my selections (and whoever is going with me does the same). This helps me see how much time I'll need to spend at each park relative to one another, and by hitting all of the YES! and If Time attractions, everyone goes home happy :) It's not very fancy, but I'd be happy to email you the spreadsheet if you like.

Thanks!! Please email me a sheet if you would:

And QUADMAN: Wow, am I impressed! I would never be able to create such a spreadsheet. Too cool!!

Personally I have found Tour Guide Mike to be the best for planning at WDW vacation.

I found this one last year and LOVE IT!!!!! I print it out and keep it handy so when a change or addition occurs to me (every day) I can jot it down, change it at night when the kids are in bed, them print it out new for tomorrow!! Yes, I am a planner.

By the way, the plans that are actually on this one are not mine....I dont know who's they are - I just emptied the boxes and made myself a blank one.

You need Microsoft Excel for it though.

would you pleeeze o' pleeze send me your forms? I'm going nuts after losing mine. Must've dumped it in a cleanup of publisher. I can't open Stu's either after downloading it, something about Windows and files, I have XP:( maybe that's it. I started making new tables and am overwhelmed at how much time I must've put into it over the years and it's all gone. If you would send them I'd greatly appreciate it.
Totally lost in the world without my old touring plan:(

I, too, am really impressed w/ this one from Quadman - was able to copy and paste it into Microsoft Word and will just clean it up to adapt to our own itinerary. I also second the post that sings the praises of TourguideMike.com although no forms there, but some helpful charts to print out. I had just printed out a weekly schedule w/ our parks and meals planned under each day, but am looking for something more compact and comprehensive for each park. Glad I'm not the only neurotic "planner" out there! :jester:
