We go to Gulf Shores (the beaches on the Alabama Gulf Coast) and do the following:
- drink some Bud Light Lime.
- eat fresh seafood.
- walk the beach and listen to the waves crash (or lap, it depends).
- nap.
- listen to Sunny 105.7 easy beach music all afternoon and pay attention to the "Weather on the Tens" updates.
- watch the sun come up (or go down, depending on the orientation of your campsite).
- go shopping if we HAVE to go out to buy local delicacies like fresh cheese, local wines, or seafood to pack and take home.
Then we go to sleep and do it all over again the next day. It's rough duty but I will sign up and take one for the team.

PS - now that we will be empty nesters starting this fall, I hope to have several LONG weekends a year at the beach with a full week at least once a year. For me it's 4.5 hours each way and $45 a night. The Fort and Gulf State Park are why I bought my camper.
