It’s going to be the time of our lives..WERE BACK: TR link inside!!

I think on the beach at the Poly would be beautiful! They could do some shots with the MK in the background and stuff and then some with just the water/sand in the background so it wouldn't have to be all Disney stuff.

I thought about the beach at poly because i love it there so much... but in general were really not beach people.. it wouldn't really be fair representation of us in the real world:lmao: Although.. i went back and looked at some shot at the poly.. and they are absolutely gorgeous!!

I think telling him a bit in advance would be good so he can do any manscaping needed. Plus I'm sure you want to make sure he brought something other then park clothes. Are you going to dress up for the pictures or have them be a bit more casual?

I know you asked tinkgurl, but what about taking some pictures in Celebration? It would be a short cab ride from Disney and it is a seriously cute little area. All the pictures I have seen that the Roots have done there are just gorgeous.

I'm hoping they will suggest Celebration.. taking a cab is seriously no big deal.. especially if that means we'll get really nice photos.

:lmao: your crack me up.. manscaping.. he'll totally need to do that.. any suggestions on how to tell him???

i've thought about taking a bunch of really crappy photos of him while he's sleeping and putting them in an album and on the last page.. put a photos of Roots or something to that affect telling him were gonna get some professional photos done... any thoughts??

Aww that is such a great idea! I can't wait to see how your pictures turn out. They are great photographers!!

Oh I like the idea of the photo album. Do you scrapbook at all? You could make a couple of pages of you two throughout the years and then have the last page decorated, but no pictures. Then you could tell him about the shoot.

Have you considered Wilderness Lodge? I think it is so pretty there. I also love Grand Floridian. The Boardwalk would be fun too. So many choices!!

Have you ever been to Celebration? If not, you will probably love it. I dream of living there in the future, it is just so cute. I like DreaGirl's suggestion too, the Boardwalk! That place is so pretty and so fun.

I like your idea about the album. Maybe you could put some pictures of you guys that aren't pro photos and write something like "these pictures are nice, but wouldn't it be great if we had pictures of us that look like this..." and then have a few pictures that the Roots have taken that you like (if that wouldn't be an issue, I'm not sure if that's too "creepy" :confused3:rotfl:) At the end of the album you could have a picture of their logo and then you could tell him your plans.

I love their work.. i'm really excited to see how our photos turn out...Did you and Tim ever get any photos taken together besides your DFTW?

I love to scrapbook.. it's one of my favourite things.. I think i'm gonna do a something that incorporates scrapbooking..we'll see tho.

I'm pretty open on the location..

I'm pretty much going to do something along those lines... if for some reason i dont have to tell him ahead of time..I am so excited.

This is really hard for me to admit:worried: but I received at least 4 of these by mail and I probably purchase like at least 4-6 a month….

But I just cannot travel without some magazine. I’m a tabloidholic. I receive by mail, LouLou, Flare (Canadian), Oprah and Chatelaine. I purchase everymonth like clock work Instyle, Women’s Health and a bunch of Intouch, Usweekly and People.

Magazines-mode-Copenhague.jpg

Haha...you should see the pile of magazines I have to bring with in the car!

I cannot travel without something to read. Of course now that I have kids my magazine reading has been scaled down, but I still bring one or two with me. I love to bring InStyle and one of the tabloids.

Our theme song for this trip should be “It’s going to be the time of our lives, DBF doesn’t want to miss out…right here, right now and there are so many reasons why.”

Our baby, Stella Victoria. She’s an 8-month old Shih Tzu who is the most important person in our life. Of course Stella isn’t coming with us, but I sure do wish we could bring her with us. This will be our first time leaving her for 3 nights.

I'm so glad to have finally gotten through your PTR....yeah!!! I love following along your journey. It's funny what you said about the theme song for this year's WDW celebration, because at random times, I'll have it in my head, even when I didn't see a commercial!

I think I told you that we have a Shih Tzu too (tan and white), and I understand how you feel about yours. Ours is definitely our baby. In fact, he's lying on my lap right now, as I type. The hardest part about going away is leaving him behind. We actually travel 40 minutes out of our way to take him to where he stays, while we're away, just to know that he's well cared for and happy. :goodvibes

July 31st- August 2nd, 2009

It's funny to know we'll be there at the same time as you guys, for at least 24 hours, and we will probably never see each other. You're even going to our resort for dinner on a night when we're going elsewhere. Too funny! :rotfl:

The Weather:
According to Orlando-Weather.us:

Orlando Weather In August is almost a duplicate of July weather, with high heat, high humidity, and a high chance of rain. Even the nights bring no relief. Of course every building and car is air conditioned, by necessity, so you will find some escape from the Orlando Weather in August.
Were basically looking at:

HIGH of 92F and a LOW of 65F

(With some RAIN but I’ve never been to Disney when it hasn’t rained)[/
COLOR]

Our trip in November 2006 - Rained EVERY SINGLE DAY… our trip in September 2008 - Rained for 15 minutes every other day. I am def. NOT a fan of rain or humidity… it ruins my hair in like 30 seconds after stepping outside.

Hotel:

Drum roll please………. We are staying at:

pop3.jpg

pop5.jpg

I thought we were the only ones who constantly check the weather reports for Orlando! Even today, my DH went online and said, "Hey, it's 99 degrees today at WDW." Then, he proceeded to tell me their extended forecast, and we're not even leaving for a little over a month! I guess it's all part of loving WDW. :cool1:

BTW, POP is definitely a great place to stay. Been there twice, as I probably mentioned to you before. After this trip, staying at a Deluxe, we are concerned whether this will make it hard for us to go back to POP on future trips.

Well I thought I’d go through my Itinerary for our weekend posted by day. I’ll include the parks, activities, where were going to be eating and what foods I’d like to try while at that restaurant. Have I mentioned that I LOVE food, and since I’ve been on a grass and water diet for about 3 months by the time this trip comes along…. I think I deserve a CAKE at every meal. :rotfl:

Day 1- Itinerary

Friday, July 31st, 2009 - Arrival Day

Depart: 6:00Am
Arrive: 10:57Am

Lunch: Earl Sandwich

Shopping Downtown Disney

Dinner: Jiko

Disney Boardwalk

Dessert: Boardwalk Bakery

(Possible SURPRISE FOR DBF: Still in the works. Will discuss at a later post)

Day 1:

I still have to:

-Book the Magical Express from the airport.
Although this we will our third time using the FREE service.. it will be our FIRST time giving them total control over our luggage. You see.. in the past we have always flown in between the times of 1030pm and 1:00am (we would have needed our luggage as soon as we checked it, to get settle, ready for bed and to prepare for the following day). However, on this trip we will be arriving at 11:00Am and as long as I pack my purse (or very large tote) we shouldn’t need our luggage until nighttime. I hope they don’t lose our luggage…

-Call to ‘request’ because nothing is guaranteed!! a room located in the 50’s building.
We’ve only NOT gotten our request once and it was only for one night. I’m keeping my fingers crossed… it just wouldn’t be Disney without our favorite hotel and room location.

Food:

Earl of Sandwich
-Island Smoothie or Bottle of water
-Earl’s Club or the Full Montagu minus the lettuce and tomato
-Goofy’s Candy Company for dessert (and some for later)

We will be returning customers for Earl of Sandwich; however, this will be our first ADR at Jiko. I’m excited to try the Mac n’ Cheese with Filet mignon.. Mmmm.. it sounds delicious.

Jiko
-Cocktail
-Barbeque Chicken Flatbread
-Oak-Grilled Filet Mignon
-Tanzanian Chocolate Cheesecake OR hold out for the Boardwalk bakery

Shopping at Downtown Disney, which includes, The Market Place, Pleasure Island and the west side:

(Some stores I MUST go into, I’m actually really excited to shop. On our last trip, (it’s a secret because I haven’t gotten to that part in my TR: I know, I know,.. I’m like sooo behind in fact almost a year behind.. but I’m working on it) I bought some UGGS (my fav. I get a new pair every season) a billabong wallet, a shirt and whole lot of Disney products for family and friends.

-Tren-D
-Le Basin
-Disney Tails (which i didn’t knew exist until now : OMG.. Stella’s gonna get some cute new outfits)
-The world of Disney
-Curl
-Magnetron
-Changing attitudes
-Once upon a toy story, Curl, Team Mickey Athletic club, Sosa Family Cigars, Pop gallery, Virgin mega Store, Starabilias ALL FOR DBF.

Disney’s Boardwalk:

-Boardwalk bakery for some CAKE
-Take a quick look at Sea Breeze point

(There really isn’t much to do besides that… :confused3 but dbf and I have never been there.. and the night photos look absolutely beautiful.)

Now you may have noticed, we are not scheduled to tackle any parks on our arrival day. Which means we will only be spending sunrise to sunset in the parks on Saturday and we are still debating about Sunday. As of today, I am ONLY purchasing a 1 day park hopper pass… but who knows…plans do change…. For example I suggested to Dbf that we purchase an Illuminations viewing cruise that would pick us up after our walk ont eh boardwalk and take us over to epcot.. but he didn’t like the idea so much.. and for that amount of money he said we could just get a 2 day park hopper and actually go into Epcot..

You know… maybe we will end up doing 4 parks from Friday Afternoon to Sunday afternoon…

This all looks great and like a lot of fun. We aren't doing a park our first day, which will feel a bit weird, but it may be a good way to start. I agree about deserving cake at the end of every meal! It's part of the WDW restaurant experience. You know how hard I've worked at losing weight, so I'm soooooooo looking forward to that part of the trip experience.

As for Magical Express, I understand your concern with giving them everything, but they have a 99 point something success rate and after our first time using them, I don't worry (much) about it anymore. Yeah, in the back of your mind, you will worry a bit, but it's Disney...they know how to do things right.

All right let me explain, dbf and I both got to pick a park for this day.. we always try to make things fair between the two of us. He chose Disney Hollywood studios and I chose the Magic Kingdom. I’m so surprised neither one of us picked Epcot or even Animal Kingdom, but I’m really excited for our Parks. I’m hoping we’ll have enough energy to get through both parks.. because after all we only have one weekend.

Day 2- Itinerary

Lunch: Sci Fi Dine In- Theatre

Magic Kingdom

Dinner: Tony’s Town Square

Day 2:

I still have to:

-Purchase our park tickets.
I’m
over looking for a discount. I think I may just buy them once we arrived. As of today we are only getting a 1 day park hopper pas.
-Make a list or map out what attractions/rides each one of us would like to tackle while at each park.
-Purchase another memory card for camera

Food:

Sci Fi Dine In-Theatre
-Strawberry Milkshake/water
-Crispy Onion Rings (but I’m hoping Dbf will order the Spinach and Artichoke dip so I can try both)

This will be our first time eating at the Sci Fi. I’m really excited, the whole atmosphere looks cool and I hope we get a backseat.

Tony’s Town Square

-Chef’s signature cheesecake

Parks:

(I’ve listed some of the rides/attractions I’d like to see and I’m guessing for Dbf)

DBF:
-Tower of Terror
-Rock N’ Roller Coaster
-Indiana Stunt Show

-Mickey’s Philharmagic
-Tomorrowland Transit Authority

DBF:
-Monster Inc. Laugh Floor
-All 3 mountains

-Jungle Cruise

Up next: I’m going to start posting ‘The item of the day’. Everyday.. I’ll try to get on and post an item I feel you would need in WDW.. it may be a beauty product, a clothing item, electronic or just plain old fun. Hopefully this will keep things interesting and help make the time go by faster.

I"ll start tomorrow morning....What will the item of the day be?

Looks great, again! I love how detailed you get with what you're doing at each place, from food choices to rides, to stores...it makes me feel like we'll truly be on the journey with you two. My DH and I talk at least once a day about what we will do and what we'll eat on our trip. So much fun!!!

Day 3- Itinerary

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 – Departure Day

Breakfast: Kona

Depart: 6:30PM
Home: 11:57PM

Day 3:

I still have to:

-Plan our day (INSERT SMILING FACE)
We’re thinking of doing a water park…. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Food:

Kona
-Kona Delight
-Tonga Toast
-Juice

This will be our first time eating at Kona. I’m really excited to try the Tonga Toast.

Alright an item that i just can't travel without is: an IPOD. I always listening to my IPOD while in the air...

Yummy!!! We did Tonga Toast at Kona on our last trip. Sooooo good. I don't even have words to tell you how good it is. You'll love it. I'm so glad we got iPods. I definitely agree it is a must have on a trip, at least for the airplane ride, though we might bring ours down to the pool area.

I"m back... sorry i've been MIA... we spent the weekend visiting my grandmother who has just started her chemo treatment. For those of you who aren't aware.. she's been recently diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer, we are currently waitting to find out what stage and where else the cancer has spread it on June 22nd. Although, her chemo seems to be going well... she's not feeling sick or anything....just exhausted.

Alright... a small update.. kinda with a LONG story. When we moved in February, I decided to throw out my years old, doesn't zip up, ruined, plain black luggage. Dbf wasn't impressed with me... but I was thrilled. I could finally get brand new luggage...and with our upcoming WDW trip... I have a very good reason. Well while I was shopping, I came across this purpley/greyish luggage that I fell in love with and BONUS it was discounted up to 50% plus there was a "buy 1 get 1 half off" the dicounted price sale going on. I was so excited.. they were the perfect color... but i wanted to give dbf a chance to see them first and help me decided on sizes to get. I can NEVER make a decision on my own... i'm so indecisive. So we go into store #1, they only have the carry on and the medium size luggage in store. After further inspection.. I notice that the medium size luggage is STAINED. Store #1 calls store #2 and turns out they have the exact same pieces, same color and notifies us that the lugage is not stained.

Now, its 25 minutes away from closing so dbf and I race over to store #2... only after futher inspection: THEY ARE STAINED WORSE than the luggage located at Store #1.

Still with me??

While in store #2, dbf told me to check they're online stock. I get home and the first thing I do is go to bentley.com and guess what?

THEY DON"T HAVE THE EXACT SAME COLOR.

Bye now, it's not looking good. I was so disappointed.. i'm the type of person where once i've fallen in love with something: I need to have it. :snooty::laughing:

but we were leaving for up north (see my grams:cutie:) and i was training at work... so i just decided to forget about it because I was honestly getting upset and just too busy to go into anymore stores in this city.

Well sure enough... were up North and i'm in the mall with my aunt.. and we come across a Bentley.. and YES, YES, YES... they have my luggage. They had the carry on and the medium size in the exact same color. The best part is: they are not stained.

Now.. i usually think that a 'carry-on' is small..and would have usually purchased the medium and large suitcase... but NO store that I had been in (all 4) ever had the large in stock. My aunt and I opened up the suitcase, checked for stains, tested them out.. and I said SOLD. I"m surprised how big the Carry-on is, and I think along with the medium size i will be okay... OHhh.. and both are 'expandable'.. so they get bigger.

Still with me?

Well here they are... i hope you can see the color.

Suitcase004.jpg

Suitcase002.jpg

Dbf and I, take alot of 'weekend trips' all around Ontario, so the carry on will be perfect and the medium will be good for any trip longer than 4 days.

O.T. Miss Britney Spears has just released some MORE North America Tour Dates.... I am soooo excited to see her AGAIN. Once in Montreal, QC and now i'll get to see her in Ottawa.. :woohoo::banana::lmao:

Great luggage. I'm the same way when I go shopping for stuff. If my DH isn't with me, I'll sometimes call him and describe things to get an opinion or just wait till he can return with me. I'm glad you got the ones you want.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. She sounds like a fighter. Keep us posted on her progress.

Alright... so here's my other option...well not an option.. because it's a Green, light, GO!!

I wanted to get some professional photos taken of Dbf and I, we have NO good ones and i thought it would be an amazing experience to go through. I got to looking into some photographers in the Orlando area as well as Disney photographers... and I"ve absolutely have fallen in love with the Roots team. So, I've contacted Roots Photography, http://www.rootography.com/ and turns out they are available for my Date...:woohoo:

I guess all we'll have to do is hash out the details? The email stated that we could talk closer to the date.... and of course i'll have to find out a way to tell dbf. He's going to be sooo surprised. :woohoo::cloud9: I, also, want them to take a couple shots of us seperately.. that way he will have a couple he can give to his parents etc,. (who's been bugging him to get his grad photos taken for the past 3 years)

but because i've decided to surprise him with a photosession with roots... it doesn't mean that i'm scratching out all the other ideas.. Aerosmith is still on my mind... I may do both.. i'll have to see how my budget is going this summer...:goodvibes

A professional photo session sounds wonderful! We're going to use the Disney ones and do ours at AKL, since we're staying there. We've seen albums of what they do at different resorts and have liked them. We'll have to compare after our trips. Have you figured out what you'll wear for it, yet?We still haven't figured that out. I need to call them on Wednesday to book.

It's funny that you mentioned this. I cut back on reading them so much, but I still have to get a few for every trip. While I love to read, and I almost always bring a book along, I can't focus on it much on the airplane. Magazines always do the trick, and it's become a part of the whole experience now.

I can't wait to read more.

As for what you will get your Dbf, as a surprise, I also agree with the Aerosmith tickets.

Oh, and after you posted about those perfumes from VS, I want to go check them out! Thanks for the tip.

Also, I do hope your Dbf proposes while you're on the trip, but if he doesn't, enjoy the trip anyway. However he does it and when, I'm sure it will be perfect.

I didn't realize you are only 3 hours from Syracuse! When we're stationed at Drum we are about 2 hours from there!

Haha...you should see the pile of magazines I have to bring with in the car!

:lmao: I"m glad i'm not the only one...

I cannot travel without something to read. Of course now that I have kids my magazine reading has been scaled down, but I still bring one or two with me. I love to bring InStyle and one of the tabloids.

I love Instyle or a good book..

I'm so glad to have finally gotten through your PTR....yeah!!! I love following along your journey. It's funny what you said about the theme song for this year's WDW celebration, because at random times, I'll have it in my head, even when I didn't see a commercial!.

I"m glad your here... OMG.. that song pops into my head ALL the time.. and gives me goose bumps. I love it... for some reason it touches my heart.

:goodvibes.

Ohhh....awww....:lovestruc:cutie: You have a little Shih Tzu Too? What's his name? How old is he? Is he mad when yous get back from Vacation?

I'm really, really worried about leaving her... she's so spoiled and loves us equally to pieces.

:cool1:.

:lmao: It is part of loving WDW..

BTW, POP is definitely a great place to stay. Been there twice, as I probably mentioned to you before. After this trip, staying at a Deluxe, we are concerned whether this will make it hard for us to go back to POP on future trips. .

That may happen.. hmmmmm

I've thought about switching hotels for our weekend in WDW to a deluxe (like, hey why not?) but I have this strange feeling that it just will not feel like Disney to us if we do not stay at POP!!!

This all looks great and like a lot of fun. We aren't doing a park our first day, which will feel a bit weird, but it may be a good way to start. I agree about deserving cake at the end of every meal! It's part of the WDW restaurant experience. You know how hard I've worked at losing weight, so I'm soooooooo looking forward to that part of the trip experience..

I think it's a good way to start... I decided we'd do Downtown Disney because all i want to do is SHOP....and we've decided to only purchase a 1 dfay park hopper pass which we'll use on Saturday. Although we may have to change our whole Itinerary around now.. but that will be a post later this week.

It most def. is part of the whole WDW restaurant experience.. and I too have been on a diet.. i've lost almost 20 pounds.. still got alot to go.. but all i can think about lately is Cake from WDW...and dining in WDW will be my reward for a whole summer of dieting.

As for Magical Express, I understand your concern with giving them everything, but they have a 99 point something success rate and after our first time using them, I don't worry (much) about it anymore. Yeah, in the back of your mind, you will worry a bit, but it's Disney...they know how to do things right..

After reading this comment (especially the 99 point something success rate), you made me feel so much better about leaving my luggage with Magical Express for the very first ime. Thanks so much:hug:

Looks great, again! I love how detailed you get with what you're doing at each place, from food choices to rides, to stores...it makes me feel like we'll truly be on the journey with you two. My DH and I talk at least once a day about what we will do and what we'll eat on our trip. So much fun!!! .

That is so nice that you and DH are able to talk about it... dbf REFUSES to talk about anything Disney related...which really hurts my feelings...but what can i do? (Good thing i have disboards:thumbsup2)

Yummy!!! We did Tonga Toast at Kona on our last trip. Sooooo good. I don't even have words to tell you how good it is. You'll love it. I'm so glad we got iPods. I definitely agree it is a must have on a trip, at least for the airplane ride, though we might bring ours down to the pool area..

I"m really excited to try it.. I love, LOVE French Toast.. I"m hoping it meets up to my expectations.

I'm glad you got ipods too.. we use ours all the time. I'ts a good investment.

Great luggage. I'm the same way when I go shopping for stuff. If my DH isn't with me, I'll sometimes call him and describe things to get an opinion or just wait till he can return with me. I'm glad you got the ones you want..

Thanks... I love my luggage. It's so "Me"!! When i read your comment here.. i thought to myself.. I can hardly make up my mind.. I can't even pick out a favorite color.. ohh...I really turn to dbf to help me make decisions.. sometimes he has a really good point of view.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. She sounds like a fighter. Keep us posted on her progress.

Thanks.. I will. She goes on Tuesday to find out what stage she's in.. and what's the next step...:sad1:

A professional photo session sounds wonderful! We're going to use the Disney ones and do ours at AKL, since we're staying there. We've seen albums of what they do at different resorts and have liked them. We'll have to compare after our trips. Have you figured out what you'll wear for it, yet?We still haven't figured that out. I need to call them on Wednesday to book.

I didnt know you were going to use the Disney ones at AKL... Thats great.. I can't wait to see your photos. I have NO idea what to wear... honestly i'd like to wear a pair of blank light weight dress pants or dark jeans with a summery top... and high heels.. but I"M REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE HEAT...

We've had a change of plans so i'm not sure if everything will actually work on this trip.. but i'll leave that for another post.

What are you planning on wearing? Are you going to co-ordinate?

I can't wait to read more. As for what you will get your Dbf, as a surprise, I also agree with the Aerosmith tickets. Oh, and after you posted about those perfumes from VS, I want to go check them out! Thanks for the tip. lso, I do hope your Dbf proposes while you're on the trip, but if he doesn't, enjoy the trip anyway. However he does it and when, I'm sure it will be perfect.

I"m sure it will be perfect.. but i'm 100% sure it won't happen on this trip.. he mentioned 6 months last time we were talking....:lmao: Disney is in 1 month... :lmao: Oh well... I"m still going to enjoy Disney.. I love it there...

Thanks for popping over to read my PTR..... that was so sweet of you!!

I didn't realize you are only 3 hours from Syracuse! When we're stationed at Drum we are about 2 hours from there!

Awww... Yeppers only 3 hours... When were you stationed now?

Alright... we had to make some small changes to our Day 1 and Day 3 in order to accomodate our photosession with Roots. I am so excited, they are amazing photographers.. they work is absolutely beautiful.:lovestruc

Lunch: Waterpark

Depart: 6:30PM
Home: 11:57PM

Changes:
-Obviously the photos will not be taken on this day
-We have decided that if it's really HOT were gonna go to a waterpark and if not, were either gonna do the hotel pool or resort hop.

Next post: What i just can't travel without, Shopping schedule, Location for Photo Session, posting some pictures of hair/make up ideas and I've been debating about switching hotels...:scared1:

Wow! The new schedule looks good. I haven't been to a waterpark since I worked at Disney in 1997. I want to go in Oct. but DH wants to wait until the kids get older.

Where are you thinking of staying now? We just switched from Pop to AKL. :)

Thats the exact switch i'm thinking of making... I need to talk to dbf about it tho.

The new itinerary looks great. I love that you are getting your hair and makeup done! If I were getting pro pictures taken I'd do the same. :thumbsup2

It has been ridiculously hot this summer in the south (weather.com says it feels like it's 99 degrees outside right now in my neck of the woods :scared1:), so I foresee a waterpark in your future

It was actually my DH's idea. I couldn't believe it.

Would you get a Savannah view room? That was a make or break for me. My DH wasn't sure and when I said I needed a SV, he said ok. :cloud9:

Have you decided on your resort yet? I've changed our plans once again, but this time I think we are set.

Ohhh....awww....:lovestruc:cutie: You have a little Shih Tzu Too? What's his name? How old is he? Is he mad when yous get back from Vacation?

I'm really, really worried about leaving her... she's so spoiled and loves us equally to pieces.

Yes, we do! His name is Cuddles. He's 8 years old and just as much of a puppy as he was at the start. :goodvibes

He's not mad when we get back from vacation, once we found the place where we now have him boarded. When we had him at the other places, he wasn't a thrilled dog, but he wasn't mad with us either. More like not himself for about a day. However, when we found the place we use, that treats him so well, we always pick him up and he acts completely normal! We actually take him to a place run by the same company as the one that now runs the WDW kennels. That's actually a coincidence, since we began taking our dog there before WDW switched their kennel company, but it is funny.

Do your research on where you plan to leave her. Visit the place and make sure they show you the whole place and answer your questions. If you don't feel comfortable with the place, trust your instincts. If you plan to leave her at a kennel/boarder, look to see if there are any boarding resorts in your area. That's how my kenneo is advertised. Our dog actually gets a mini-version of a human bed, which we like, since he sleeps on ours. He gets cuddle times, which is important, since he's very used to that. There are a lot of things they offer, which a typical kennel does not. They also don't use the traditional kennel cages. They put the dogs in their own rooms, in a manner of speaking.

That may happen.. hmmmmm

I've thought about switching hotels for our weekend in WDW to a deluxe (like, hey why not?) but I have this strange feeling that it just will not feel like Disney to us if we do not stay at POP!!!

Let us know if you decide to switch! AKL is always a good choice, and then you might still get to reserve Jiko, for your Dbf. Disney is all about theming, and what better theming, than to make you feel like you've been transported to somewhere you've never been? Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be great.

Congrats on the weight loss! Hang in there. I understand what you mean about looking forward to a break from dieting to enjoy the WDW food. They do have great meals and desserts! :thumbsup2 Just be sure to get back into healthy living when you get back. You'll only be gone for a few days, so you should be fine.

After reading this comment (especially the 99 point something success rate), you made me feel so much better about leaving my luggage with Magical Express for the very first ime. Thanks so much:hug:

I'm glad! I once felt like you, so I remember. You'll be glad you used them.

That is so nice that you and DH are able to talk about it... dbf REFUSES to talk about anything Disney related...which really hurts my feelings...but what can i do? (Good thing i have disboards:thumbsup2)

Yes, we're always here for you to talk about WDW whenever you need a Disney fix. :surfweb:

I"m really excited to try it.. I love, LOVE French Toast.. I"m hoping it meets up to my expectations.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks.. I will. She goes on Tuesday to find out what stage she's in.. and what's the next step...:sad1:

I understand. Keep us posted.

Yup! We're getting them done at the AKL. We're working on what we're going to wear. So far, we believe we'll wearing khaki shorts with complimentary colored shirts. We have a few ideas in mind.

Let us know what you two decide to wear. You definitely should keep the heat in mind. Are you and your Dbf coordinating clothes?

I"m sure it will be perfect.. but i'm 100% sure it won't happen on this trip.. he mentioned 6 months last time we were talking....:lmao: Disney is in 1 month... :lmao: Oh well... I"m still going to enjoy Disney.. I love it there...

Thanks for popping over to read my PTR..... that was so sweet of you!!

Regarding what happens with the proposal, we'll see. . .:goodvibes

Of course I had to come over to your PTR! It's been great.

Your plans look great and exciting! If you decide to go with AKL, remember to try and get Jiko's back for your Dbf. Also, who knows? We might run into one another.
