Islands of Adventure Character Dining

Has anyone done the IoA character dining? I read that Confissco (sp?) Grill now offers a breakfast character dining with Spiderman and Cat in the Hat on certain mornings. I've done the Disney character dining but now have a little boy that would LOVE to see Spiderman in the flesh (so to speak) - Any reviews? Thanks!

Absolutely worth it, we went there in Oct 06 with our 5yr son he loved it no need for advanced bookings we just walked in about 0930hrs, loads of character interaction maybe due to the fact it was very quiet, but Spidey was there, he spent ages at our table speaking with us my son loved it, also Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & 2 also there but Spidey was his fav by a mile. Had to go straight to the Spiderman shop after it and buy lots of things. The food was fairly standard fare buffet breakfast but it was nice and for the 3 of us including drinks it was about $60. It is well worth a visit, I thought it was even better than the Disney character experiences.

We did this breakfast in October...tons and tons of character interaction. As a matter of fact, Thing 1 and Thing 2 sat with us at our table for a good 20 minutes playing around with my DH and DS....

That being said, the food was not great~it was OK...we really didn't go for the food anyway. The restaurant was virtually empty the whole time we were there at a later breakfast time.

Sorry just was reading and where is this restaurant?? Is it in one of the 3 onsite hotels if so which one?? We are going to be booking RPR in March for our upcoming trip in December and think this would be great for our youngest son. Do you also know can you make reservations?? Were going to be there for the x-mas holidays and would think we would need them then.

The character breakfast sounds great. However, do you
think my DD6 would enjoy it also? The characters sound
more boyish and she is such a girly-girl. She has seen
Cat-in-the-Hat and parts of Spiderman. She did enjoy those.
Any opinions? Is it just plain out fun, no matter if its boy or girl?
We have done the Disney ones, so we sort of know how those
go.

I should have known the DIS wouldn't let me down...decided on a trip to Universal for the first time, and checked this section first, my question? Character dining!

We just ate at Confisco's (Port of Entry in IOA) last Saturday. Since we were a party of 11, I called ahead and made reservations. They were very nice. It's a smaller restaurant, so the characters have more time to interact with you. Spidey is the only one who "talks" while Thing 1 & 2 "play around". Thing 2 took my DSIL's mother's hairclip out of her hair and started playing around! Thing spun DH's hat sideways! I even heard Spidey tell a child he would be right back as he wanted to say goodbye to someone who was leaving. The food is "okay"...breakfast food. They had fruit, cereal, waffles, french toast, pancakes, muffins, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc...... (OJ and milk are not included w/ price....dumb, but guess they have to make money somewhere else too!)
We all enjoyed ourselves....worth the money in our opinion!

Spidey was "trash talkin" to Thing....threatenin' to get her in trouble and such....of course....Thing WAS throwing stuff and hitting Spidey in the head!

Okay, so this is the only character mean in UNI or IOA right? We are staying off property at the Vistana resort on Buena Vista Blvd, do you think a 9:30 reservation will be okay or would we have to RUSH to get there? We didn't plan any breakfasts because we didn't want to take time out in the morning - what do you all think?
