Incorrect when they go on sale it will still be 2024 points for October & December
You know, if they hadn't sent out that email to some members saying to call their guides for details (when there were no details to be had), I wouldn't be half as aggravated as I am about this slow rollout!Granted I never really paid much attention to other DVC hotels and their rollouts, I feel like this is a complete joke with how slow all information has been coming out.
Universal Orlando is going to announce their 4th gate before this poly tower goes on sale.
I feel Island Tower rollout is just a continuation of the bad rollout they did with the original PVB. No resort comes close to the limited time of sales before opening. If they wait until October 1, it will even beat the original PVB record.
I sure hope they don't mess up the timeshare license in all states like they did with the original PVB.
Does anyone know what states were messed up in the past (I type, sitting here in NYC)?I sure hope they don't mess up the timeshare license in all states like they did with the original PVB.
Exactly! This project has been in the works for years. The cash bookings opened in June. The room categories were worked out before a hole was ever dug, and likely the points chart too. And yet the potential DVC owners get left in the dark on sales details? You know, if they hadn't sent out that email to some members saying to call their guides for details (when there were no details to be had), I wouldn't be half as aggravated as I am about this slow rollout!

Just release the information already.
I’m basing it the speculation of sales beginning October 1. If they begin sales in December I would think October 24 points would still be available. I can’t imagine them selling and telling someone that they have to borrow from 2025?We do not know that yet. They can start sales and decide what UYs will get them.
While I do think 2024 will be limited to Oct and Dec UY at most, nothing to prevent them from not starting points until 2025.

Maybe Riv is selling better than they expected with the summer incentives - so no need to rush? There has to be some type of financial gain for them to keep putting it off.
I’ve been thinking the same thing.Okay, I'll say it:
Maybe it's at risk of not opening on time and canceling+recovering cash bookings is easier than DVC bookings.

Definitely read in my head in Micky’s voice, even with his little giggle after.Oh boy.

What I recall from back then was many-most were not approved when sales started. Most were approved within 1-2 weeks after sales started. I believe there was one that required a month. Caifornia was the very last one and it was 2-3 months after sales started.Does anyone know what states were messed up in the past (I type, sitting here in NYC)?
