Is state approval something public?
Thanks for the link!Edit: here is an old thread…

Personally, I wouldn’t worry about flying to Orlando or going out of your way. Disney will have points for years. Thanks for the link!
Also: Ack, how stressful at the time! That led me to another post that was NYS-specific; seemed very disorganized.
I wonder if I drove up to my mom’s house in CT if I could do it from there, assuming NY runs into the same issue again. Because, while I have my other half sold on a few more poly points so we can enjoy a 2br with the kiddos from time to time (they are teens and like to bring friends), I don’t think I can sell her on a quick family jaunt down to Orlando just to sign some paperwork!
Oh definitely. But they might not have the room type and dates I am looking for if they don’t have my state in the mix by the time members only booking opens. I mean, they might not anyhow, but chances probably get a lot slimmer if I have to wait to book.Disney will have points for years.
Well, this says initial incentives will be minimal.Stopped in at the Golden Vine House at DCA today. The guides told me they are getting hundreds of calls a week about Island Tower and cannot wait for it to go on sale. Aren’t we all!
There is a new 2024 Florida timeshare statute that all deposits must go into a traditional escrow account managed by a certified escrow agentJust noticed CFW timeshare license was also updated the same as the PVB license change on 8/28/2024.

I am not seeing this change in other associations. Not sure if this is because these two resorts will be the only two that started sales in 2024? Perhaps the other associations will see similar changes in the coming days?
I feel like this is a complete joke with how slow all information has been coming out.
This is more than likely exactly what's going on. Anyone with eyeballs can see how far behind they are on construction.Okay, I'll say it:
Maybe it's at risk of not opening on time and canceling+recovering cash bookings is easier than DVC bookings.
Typically they bump you to somewhere nicer if the hotel is overbooked or cancelled for some fault of theirs. I know people that got upgraded form port orleans to grand Floridian this way a while backStupid question, but if construction is behind...at what point do you (disney) make the call to pivot? I have a cash room booked for Marathon weekend, which is always a sold out DVC weekend and traditionally pretty booked throughout the resort. I'd be royally peeved (the nicest thing I could say, tbh) if they cancelled my room at the Poly and threw me wherever they could find a spot or worse...cancelled entirely. Especially since I'm running Dopey and don't want to have to worry about finding a place to pass out.
Difficult question to answer. If I were Disney I'd have to consider a bunch of factors.Stupid question, but if construction is behind...at what point do you (disney) make the call to pivot?
Disney monitoring a "Critical Path" !How far behind are they? Does anyone have insight into the critical path schedule?
I don’t think we know just what the schedule is. Perhaps they are actually on timeHow far behind schedule is the Poly?
