Just noticed CFW timeshare license was also updated the same as the PVB license change on 8/28/2024.

I am not seeing this change in other associations. Not sure if this is because these two resorts will be the only two that started sales in 2024? Perhaps the other associations will see similar changes in the coming days?
It states something about construction on the link you provided. Nothing else is having other than PVB or CFW unless refurbs count.

"Adding language pursuant to 721.08(5)(b)., FS for conditions providing an alternate assurance in lieu of any requirement that completion of construction of one or more accommodations or facilities of a timeshare plan be accomplished prior to closing."

Looking at how on sale dates for previous resorts have been announced, I'm thinking we'll either have an announcement next week announcing an on sale date for existing members on ~ 9/17, or push this two weeks and announce on 9/17 that the on sale date for existing members is 10/1.

Cabins at FW and VDH both had their sale dates and point charts released approx. two weeks before the sale for existing members began.

Thoughts??

Good catch.

That makes sense why only these two associations (both under construction and will be selling points). Perhaps some new legislation in Florida requires them to add this language, which would explain why it wasn't needed for past associations?

That is way over my head I just saw the construction note lol

My Thoughts? I want them now!! :)

That certainly makes sense to me though.

That second guess is the one I've been floating. But I put 9/16, a Monday, as the more likely date.

I have been thinking next week for an announcement. Didn't realize they started waiting 2 weeks for sales after point charts.

My reasoning is waiting until 10/1 for existing members and later for new members seems means Q1 misses those sales where people spread the payments over 3 months.

I'm not sure the exact method of Disney's accounting for these. But Disney knows it'll need to pump up parks and resort revenue for fiscal 2025. Anything on or after Oct 1 cleanly fits that, without any shifting around dates for various (albeit it reasonable) explanations.

It depends. Cabins were on a Tuesday--but it was the day after MLK, a holiday. VGF was on a Monday. My guess is that they want as much time during the week to manage the narrative as possible, in case there are online complaints.
OCTOBER 1 looms large in WDW history... A good ad hook into something like "The WDW legacy resort is expanding the Magic..."
