I'm new to scrapbooking! Please be gentle with me...lol

I did a search and found one lonely thread that mentioned the iscrapbook program for mac. I recently stumbled upon the program and while it looks fabulous, I wanted opinions about it from people who might actually use it. Does anyone here use it?

What I mainly want to know is how do you save your pages? Is it in JPEG or GIF formats?

Are you able to send your pages to a company online and have them printed and bound for you?

Thanks much! :flower3:

Although no one's responded...lol

I downloaded the free trial for my mac and was playing with it last night. I've figured out the saving part of it...and I know that you can have it printed and bound for you...

It's actually fairly easy to use! Just in case anyone out there is looking for a mac digital scrapbooking program!

I think you and I are about the only Mac users here but I don't digi scrap. Sorry there wasn't anymore help!

Rock on Apple Sister!!!

Oh yay! I found another mac user!!

What program do you use?

for????

I don't know, LOL DH bought it for me because he hates PC's. He has to work on them all day long so he didn't want to have to deal with the mess at home too. And the kids use Apples at school so we wanted to be consistent.

I have the powerbook now, I had an iMac but the screen died. Other than that I'm not really computer savvy. I thought about getting Photoshop for digi scrapping but I downloaded the trial and could not figure it out. There were no tutorials for Mac users.

I found iscrapbook to use for digi-scrapping and it's not too bad so far! I'm still figuring it all out, but it's fairly user friendly! They offer a free 30 day trial of the program if you want to try it out.

I like my Mac...I use a regular PC at work and our main computer at home is a non-Mac. It's taking some getting used to, but I really like it! I am the least computer savvy person you will ever meet...thankfully I'm married to a computer geek! :) Oh...and add to that, I work for a computer training company...lol

Hey now.. I own a MAC :thumbsup2

I haven't even heard of iScrapbook.. so I looked into it.. cute program!

I mainly use photoshop for all of my layouts.. might have to download the trial though

Yay!! Mac users are coming out of the woodwork now! Woooo!!

Add me to the list! Got my iMac in July!! I don't digi-scrap either though.

But I am loving iPhoto and iMovie, have made a couple of DVD's so far.

I am on a mac too... and ended up just using parallels to run a windows virtual machine and run CM Storybook Creator plus. Its runs just fine. But I had the same problem... on the mac side, I am using Photoshop.

The one lonely post you found was probably from me! I've been a Mac user for 17 years and am just getting into digi scrapping. I have the program and created several pages when I first bought it! Life has gotten way too busy and my scrapping has been on hold. We just returned from a dream trip to WDW so I may have to kick it in gear again! As for iscrapbook, it seems really easy to use and I've liked my results so far.

Here's to the apple!

Another Mac user here! I have an iBook, but haven't tried any digi scrapping yet. I feel like I'm just getting the regular kind of scrapbooking down! I have looked at a program at the Apple store called iRemember, but haven't been brave enough to try it.

DD and I (she got me started on Macs!) went to a Creative Memories scrapbook crop last weekend and got a big laugh out of their catalog. CM makes scrapbooking software, but only for Windows. However, we're pretty sure the laptop the person is using in the catalog is a Mac, but they've Photoshoped the Apple logo out of the picture!:rotfl:

You can save them as jpegs and Heritage Makers is a Mac compatiable system. You can upload them and have them bound into a book. Let me know if you want anymore info.

I'm a mac user:thumbsup2 I have an eMac. I have never done digital scrapbooking, but would love to learn! Could you share why you guys do digital and how you got into it?

Awesome... some dis mac's???!!!

I just returned on Saturday from my first trip to WDW in 10 years - it was fantastic. I just got a mac two months ago (use a pc at work) and was planning so much for the trip haven't spent any time learning what it can do.

Also a "hybrid" (traditional & digi) scrapper.

I don't use mac's but I got into digital scrapbooking because bringing out all my supplies and putting them away was just a pain in the butt, that I never scrapped at all.

I'm gonna have to look at that. The "official" word from CM is that it does run on macs - you just have to be running a program to run windows (parallels or boot camp). :headache: There is supposed to be a mac version out "at some point".

Well, that would be my problem. I have an older Mac (iBook G4) so no parallels or boot camp for me!
